I take the dog in to get a treat
    Lisa O.

Zoom Room is #1 for me. Zoom Room is all about the dogs. They are awesome. Educated staff. I dog sit. I go here for special treats for the dogs. The staff is Extremely helpful picking out quality safe treats for different age dogs and different size dogs. Not all treats are good for every dog. They can also keep track of treats that work well for your dog Cadaver bar is my fave. Filling a bag with treats is so much fun. They offer a lot if you have a dog. I only dog sit but this is my number 1 spot to shop.

Hannibal is unsure, but he likes that they have treats.

So, let me just say that I waited until our 3 month commitment was up to write this review because I wanted to be able to talk about our entire process. Hannibal is a bit of a Nervous Nellie, so we were worried about whether or not he was going to be able to do group training or we would do private training. From the time that we had our evaluation to his last class, the trainers and staff there was nothing but sweet to Hannibal. Hannibal is almost 7, so this was not a "puppy training" adventure for us, but more so, we wanted him to have more manners. What I appreciate is that we didn't get singled out and neither did Hannibal if he missed something. They would praise him the next time he got it right and show us how to do better for him as well. We started our Zoom Room classes with Hannibal back in March and he graduated Obedience 3 May 9th with the ability to keep going to those classes to hone his skills. I want to stress that Zoom Room isn't about training your dog solely, it's about training you to be able to train your dog and they give you the tools and the help to do that. I felt more confident and understood better how to train Hannibal and get him to understand what we wanted from him. He's been less nervous around other dogs and in public since ZR and I know it's also because we've worked with him outside of ZR on his manners so he feels more secure. I love that when they see that Hannibal is nervous, they let other trainers know and don't get upset or worried. They approach him differently and with treats so that he knows they're not a threat to him. The treats they have for sale have been great for training inside and outside of the center. The games they play help provide fun for the humans and still provide enrichment for the dogs being trained. It's not been an easy road, but it's been so worth it and I'm super happy with the progress Hannibal has made since we started Zoom Room. He's even taken a sip from their community bowls, which has never happened anywhere else.

Updating my review after using the classes here for months! I'm probably an even bigger fan of Zoom Room than I was 7 months ago. We have a Beagle mix which are notorious for being stubborn dogs. We've gone through obiedence classes and now are working on Obedience 3 and Agility 1 with our girl. She gets a great mental workout and we've learned a lot about how to train our puppy the right way so it's rewarding for both parties. We took a trip not too long ago and brought our dog with us and we kept hearing how well behaved she is! We owe that to what we've learned at Zoom Room. The trainers are really nice and know their stuff. I love that they offer different kinds of classes to keep your dog interested, as well as playgroups which were so necessary during lockdown last year. Agilty class has been super fun and gives our girl a good outlet for her love of treats and her zoomies. The staff remember her and her personality and we still love all of the toys they have here. We've gotten toys here that have lasted her whole puppyhood! I can't say enough good things about this place if you want to learn how to train your dog to be well-behaved.

I am pleasantly surprised and very impressed with Zoom Room in Virginia Beach thanks to the folks who work there. They really know their stuff. Everyone I've encountered has been so enthusiastic, personable, & positive, yet very professional. It's clear they love what they do. They've been very accommodating when things have come up & I cannot bring my pup to class. The trainers are also so encouraging during the classes. I am so grateful I got free classes when I adopted my pup from the SPCA. What a genius partnership!

I have a Vizsla who is a VERY high energy dog I take her to Zoom Room VB for agility classes and can't say enough good comments about the staff or owner. John the owner is great he is calm even when things get a little excited which helps keep everyone cool and collected.. As a self admitted helicopter dog mom I appreciate his demeanor and the way he is with all the dogs. I have taken the puppy obedience for a couple classes but Zora got a little bored (my fault because i should have asked to be moved to a higher class) then we started agility and have never stopped she loves learning the new obstacles and she goes home with a tired mind and body!!

Awesome place to take your dogs. My pup is skiddish around other dogs, and I wanted a place to take her that was supervised by professionals. She loves the Zoom Room! The classes are great, the playgroups are vital for socialization, and all the puppy owners are amazing.

Let me tell you how amazing his place is for your dog. It's an indoor play center for your furry child/canine. I wanted a place that my dog could go to when it's wet or cold outside and a place where he could get his energy exerted and have fun with his dog friends. I first found out about this place when j was looking to find a place where they have classes to train my dog. My dog is well trained but they have many levels of training, agility course and training so you can get your dog certified to be a therapy dog. They have an admissions test to evaluate your dog to make sure they have up to date vaccinations and no behavioral issues. This assures other pet owners that they are safe to have their dog around other friends that are properly vaccinated and of mild temperament. I took him into get tested and I was amazed of how clean the place was and professional the team here at zoom room were. They have proper stations for clean up In case there is a potty accident waiting to happen. I loved the set up, the colors of blue and orange are vibrant and attracting. They have a small boutique of dog toys, other essentials and a galore of doggie treats filled in jars. Your dog will feel like they are like a kid In a candy store. They made sure his vaccines were up to date before they did his temperament test. Furby passed and then was eligible to attend their level one obedience class. Once he completed that he started doing some little dog play dates. I really enjoyed that they have an account set up online so I can sign him up for classes where I can coordinate with my schedule. The classes are small and more personal so the environment stays well controlled. My parents dog had a birthday party here. It's cheap for them to have an hour of a group play date instead of pay for the birthday party package. It worked out and my parents dog, Chunky had a blast. It was my first real birthday party I've ever seen thrown for a dog at a venue of some sort. This was seriously the cutest easy event hosted. Every dog owner enjoyed, while we brought some food for them to partake in. The dogs got to have their cutest donut treat made specially by zoom room. Chunky also had a dog treat cake to make him feel even more special for his 1st birthday. I can't wait for Furby to start his Second level training classes at zoom room.

No. Go anywhere else, don't waste your time or money here. Upon leaving this review, I was also contacted by Meghan who, once again, made empty promises of a refund only to later be blocked from her page on the day of agreed meeting. After reading the positive reviews, we were so excited to hire Meghan to train our new puppy. After discussing our goals, availability, and making plans to move forward, we paid and anxiously awaited her arrival the following Sunday. On Saturday evening she asked if we were comfortable with the anticipated windy Sunday or if we wanted to reschedule. We were not worried about the wind as we would be indoors for the introduction / first session. Unfortunately, Meghan never replied to the conversation to confirm or deny the appointment. We waited for her arrival but she never showed. After the appointment time had passed, we reached out to her in hopes of setting another appointment in upcoming week. She was very short with the conversation left us wondering what to expect as she stopped replying until we reached out AGAIN for confirmation. The next appointment scheduled for the next day at 1:30pm. At 12:36, Meghan texted and said she would be late. She asked again if we wanted to reschedule, we said we wanted to continue with the appointment and would work around other plans due to her late arrival. Once Meghan finally arrived, she showed potential as she worked with our puppy and educated us on training techniques, however, she also seemed very distracted in her cell phone. At the end of the appointment we talked about the process of filing papers to provide our dog with the type of training we purchased, she talked about her puppy classes and invited us to join, and she offered to email material for training. We know life can be unpredictable and decided to disregarded her previous unprofessionalism and happily scheduled our next visit. The day of our scheduled appointment came and Meghan didn't show. We reached out to ask if she was still coming and she attempted to reschedule. The availability we agreed on upon hiring Meghan was very clear due to work and our child's health conditions that required many doctor appointments. We expressed our willingness to wait if she needed to come later than scheduled as we weren't available again that week. Meghan didn't show up, again. By this point we were three weeks in and had only one completed session that Meghan suggested to reschedule and arrived late. The lack of effective communication, accountability, and effort took its toll as our puppy was growing bigger (we emphasized the importance and urgency of her training to accomplish safe behaviors around our disabled child) and we were constantly being let down. We told Meghan we wanted to cancel her "services" and refunded. She was defensive and referred to the contract that stated a refund would take up to 14 business days. We are currently on 22 |business days| and have not yet received a refund. We asked for a confirmation or ANYTHING showing that it is being processed, however Meghan continues to give reasons why it hasn't gone through or simply ignores us. I'd give negative stars if it were an option. She will also contact you upon leaving a review of your experiences and not only yell at you but threaten to take you to court.
