This is convient cafe if you want quick instant cofffee. The drinks are ok and I don't get it often but if I'm in a rush I'd stop by here for a quick cup. Their matcha latte is quite milky not my favorite but I do like their white mocha. Staff and service is quick everyone is friendly but not my top choice of coffee at Stanford. read more

I love ZoomCaffe! It's run by a family that turned a van into a mobile coffee stand--there is an amazing story of how their coffee van came to be. They have wonderful espresso drinks (latte, mocha, macchiato etc.), brewed coffees, Numi teas, pastries, sandwiches, and salads. I'm always greeted with a smile by the friendly, sweet, and efficient staff. After a week of regularly purchasing with them, they already know my order (large soy latte) before I step up to order! Other pros: **They have contactless payment (I use Apple Pay). **They are open early (I get to the hospital before 7:00am, and the coffee van is already there!) **On rainy days, they set up a large umbrella/cover so customers can wait for their orders without getting drizzled on. ** The coffee and espresso drinks taste much better and are cheaper than the Starbucks inside of the hospital. read more

Little coffee stand near Stanford Hospital. The cappuccino that I ordered was good. I asked the person if there was sugar inside it in which he said "No." He ask me if I needed it which I did. He gave me two packs which I requested. The coffee is much cheaper than the Market Square Cafeteria. Also much better service. I do recommend it. Just make sure to ask for cream and sugar. read more

The employees at this coffee stand really need to be more cognizant of what customers they are serving being right in the middle of the Stanford hospitals. I was looking to buy some snacks for my husband who was in recovery after surgery for cancer. The employee that rung me up made very snarky comments as if I were stupid and didn't know what I was asking for. He also tried to make me look dumb by pretending my credit card didn't go through and repeatedly snatched the card away from my hands as I went to retrieve it from the mobile card reader. Understandably, I was not in the mood to point out the inappropriate behavior - I just wanted to get my husbands water and get out of there. Whats not to like here? Its a small customized coffee truck run by a family. The service is super friendly, quick, and perhaps its one of the best option for coffee in the Hospital Complex. Its located out by the fountains so if your visiting a friend, getting treatment or working there, it a fantastic place to just sit and unwind. Aside from the convenience, the offer the full range of coffee options from latte's, to espresso. Ive had the cappuccino and the cold brew, and both were quite good. The lines can get long but they work through them pretty quickly. read more

My immigrant mother went to get me water. As she asked for water, in her best English verbiage. The workers proceeded to berate her until her pronunciation was more Americanized and "correct." This is insensitive of the immigrant community and unacceptable conduct. I will no longer support this business. read more

I've been here twice thus far since I'm at Stanford for a rotation right now. They park right outside the front of it, so it's rather conveniently located. The residents I work with often go to the cafe for breakfast, but wait til they can come here "for superior drinks." The owner and staff are all super friendly and nice. Service is quick and pricing is about on par of what you'd see at any regular coffee shop. I've only tried the chai latte so far, but I like it a lot! There's outdoor seating that we've usually been parking ourselves around to enjoy the sunshine/spring flowers/that pretty fountain before we run off to get back to work again! read more

I had an appointment upstairs and I was a bit early. I decided to come down and get a snack and a latte. I ordered my latte and noticed the lady using coffee. I ask her why and she told me they use cold brew drop coffee for latte's. Well that's not what i ordered. I ordered a latte and that is made with Expresso beans. TOTALLY DIFFERENT! I ask her to remake it with Expresso and she does. She went to the back and came back to the front. She makes my coffee using "Expresso" that tasted just like the coffee she just tried to give me and pass off as a latte. I asked for a refund. They should also be careful of who they speak about/in front of. I might have blonde hair and blue eyes but I have spent 3 years in Southern America and understood everything they were saying about me. SAD. read more

Great coffee, and conveniently located outside of the Stanford main hospital. They make a great cold-brew coffee, and offer soy and almond milk for an additional charge. It's so nice to simply enjoy an iced coffee sitting outside in the sun by the fountain, and get a break from being inside the hospital all day. On top of the great coffee, the couple who runs the business has an amazing story. They are so friendly and sweet, the coffee truck was all started when his wife was in the hospital getting a heart transplant, and now she's a five year survivor! I happened to come across Zoom Caffe the other day and decided to give them a try. The Silicon Valley is full of creative venues for new experiences. I had never encountered a mobile coffee truck and wanted to see what they had to offer. The nice older lady was more than accommodating to get me to place my order, but I had a whole series of questions like do they roast their own beans, trying to gauge what kind of coffee experience I was getting myself into. So we bantered back and forth before I chose a Mocha (hot). They ground the beans right in front of me as I watched them fulfill my order. Was hoping for that 'wow' factor with my first sip, but alas it did not take me to another level experience. It was good, but did not meet my elevated expectations. So good coffee and quick and friendly service from what appears to be a family run business. read more

So, aside from what I imagine is a really advantageous location for the truck, (I went to the one on the lot of Anderson Honda, on Embarcadero, I can only imagine how many folks swing by there while they're cars are getting worked on,) Eric was as surprising and personable as baristas come. I approached the van to ask if he took cards (they don't, sadly,) and since I was short on cash, I was about to walk away, but Eric stopped me with a "Hold on! Italians don't let anybody go off without some coffee." He asked me what I'd like, pulled me a shot of espresso, and handed it over, no questions asked. It was very well executed, and came out not too hot, nor too cool. Perfect sipping temperature. We chatted a bit while I sipped the coffee, which tasted like a well balanced medium roast a little on the sweeter side, about his business, about what went into his logic on making blends, and how they roast the coffee nearby. I wish I could tell you more about the menu, but I suppose a coffee joint is more about the experience than it is about the product line. Now, beyond the generosity of the freebie and the quality of the espresso, I just wanted to highlight the sense of neighborliness I got from Eric. The only real payment he wanted was my assurance that I pay it forward. Well, while I do, at least let me leave this as a gratuity. Thanks Eric! read more

I'm not sure if I checked into the right one but the Zoom I tried a few days ago was in front of Stanford Hospital. This is a moving coffee/specialty drink truck. I'm a coffee/espresso lover but by no means am I suggesting I'm an expert in the craft, however I know when I'm having something good. This place makes good stuff. So good that I decided not to taint my latte with my usual Splenda! That for me is making a big commitment to the genuine taste. Loved it. The service is also a lovely experience. The gentleman running it is incredibly friendly and happy to give you a little espresso tutorial if your interested. I am actually looking forward to my next appointment because I get to start off with a large latte. Look around for them! read more

I'm a regular up at Stanford and my husband brought me coffee from Zoom. The flavor was smooth, the foam of the cappuccino was not only thick but almost dessert like. What a treat! If you are up at Stanford, sometimes this truck is parked by the fountain. If you need a treat, check them out! read more

Great place for coffee! Eric is terrific and his staff members are fast and friendly. Definitely the best coffee you'll find in the vicinity of Stanford Hospital. Prices are comparable to most mainstream brick and mortar establishments, but the coffee is far better than what you'll get at Starbucks. Weekend hours for Stanford Hospital have changed, though. They are no longer at the fountain on Saturday mornings, much to my dismay. read more

Staying in the hospital with my husband following surgery and I love this cafe. The coffee is really great and the women working there are so friendly. It's right out front of the hospital near the big fountains and trees so it's a peaceful atmosphere when you can step out of the hospital for a few minutes for some fresh air, sunshine, and coffee. Sorry but I just had a bad experience here. While taking my order the lady had her back towards me as she asked me the size of white choc mocha I wanted I said 12 oz (small) she continued to make me the large coffee and charged me accordingly (maybe this wouldn't have happened if she was looking at me, paying attention as I ordered). Anyways, I started walking back when I took a sip and it was just milk. I didn't taste any "chocolate" or "coffee" or anything, just milk. I may have caught them on an off day as others have had good experiences but it's safe to say I won't be going back. read more

This place either doesn't know what cold brew is or tried to rip me off. I asked for cold brew, looked down at my phone and when I looked up the barista had filled a cup 3/4 full with ice water and was adding shots of espresso. History

Established in 2012.

In 2012, Carmela and her husband found themselves spending a lot of time at Stanford Medical Center while she received treatment for a congenital heart disease. During those extended stays, the couple longed for a place of respite from their emotional and difficult situation. They were also aware of the soothing and calming effect food and beverages have on people's mood. From this desire to provide delicious beverages and food to patients, their families, and the hard-working medical staff--ZoomCaffe was born. After they launched their first coffee truck, Carmela's hopes were realized. She received a new heart, and the couple decided to dedicate their energies to the new venture. They truly had a new lease on life! And they wanted to share that joy with others in a more expansive way. Today, the original ZoomCaffe Coffee Truck has blossomed into a collection of cafes, each tailored to the needs of patients, caregivers and staff of the clinics where they're located.

And then I took a bite and.... where was the flavor? I took another bite. Same thing. And another. And another. Bland tikka masala?? How does this happen? After I had several bites, I came to the conclusion that it tasted like chicken dipped into water. There was literally no taste to the sauce. Was an ingredient forgotten? Did I come to close to closing time (30 minutes)? I really don't know. I enjoyed the pita bread and the salad concoction, but I will forever be bummed thinking about the alternative places I almost visited before choosing to grab dinner here.

We thought the truck was by Target, but it is actually located in the Chevron gas station on El Camino, right before Woodside Ave. We ordered a shrimp taco, a fish taco and an aguachile verde to share. There were five of us altogether, so it took a bit of time for our food to be prepared. Unfortunately, there is no seating available. As soon as our order was ready, I started eating my fish taco and I was pretty impressed! The fish was nicely fried and they were very generous with the condiments, including cabbage, pico de gallo and a slice of fresh avocado. They even provided slices of radishes and cucumbers as well as limes. It reminded me of the tacos from La Cocina de la Abuela, a brick and mortar in downtown Redwood City that closed in 2021. They had the most amazing fried shrimp and fish tacos and these were just as good! The aguachile was also amazing! The shrimp were surprisingly large and served with avocado, tomatoes, cucumbers and thinly sliced red onions. It's perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice! I tried a shrimp from my friend, who ordered the camarones a la cucaracha. The shrimp are cooked in a garlicky, lime sauce and served over a bed of sliced cucumbers and onions to soak up all the tasty sauce. All the food we tried was delicious, and the portions are pretty generous. We discovered that you could call your order ahead, so we will do that the next time we go to save time. I don't have a diverse culinary palate, but there was a hint of a curry(esque) flavor in the filling. Delicious with the sauces. Mango Lassi - 1000000/10. I am a sweet tooth and woah....I absolutely love this drink. It is an Indian mango yogurt drink that is not too thick or sickly sweet. It has a thick consistency and was perfect to have during the summer as a dessert. It was about $4 for 12oz but I had to order another one for the road because it is exactly what I needed. Overall, I would stop by again if I needed something to curb my empty stomach.

I tried some of my coworkers garlic shrimp & Miso tofu too...surprisingly pretty GOOD! It's like an unagi sauce with garlic in it. It has some saltiness, sweetness, and that umami flavor. Garlic taste and scent is present, but not too overpowering, which I really enjoyed. That flavor is great, but some places really overdo it for me. Just a personal preference though. For the chicken itself, it's very tender and juicy on the inside and still has some of that nice crunch on the outside. Perhaps this is because the cut of meat is the chicken thigh. It's not super crispy because I don't believe this is being fried to order for us. Seems to be food held in a warmer until its ordered. Kimchi was the side that they had provided with this dish and I am here for that. Some people aren't the biggest fan of this and I saw that from the looks my coworkers gave it. Personally, very much enjoyed it though. That sourness and spice from the kimchi just balances out this bowl really well. The veggies are nice and crispy. Gives it that freshness. Also, very slight detail and addition, but I always enjoy the sesame seeds and furikake sprinkle as a garnish. There's a nice nuttiness to it that they provide as a simple garnish. Typically when I go to get poke, it's 2 to 3 scoops of different proteins with various sauces to change up the flavor. I did get tired of this one after a few bites. The flavor of this item was very good though. There's a nice kick from it and the flavor tastes like a mix of kewpie mayo, soy sauce, sriracha, and sugar. Very simple, but you can't go wrong with those flavors. For the side, they added seaweed salad. Again, not your average side dish. Personally, I enjoyed it, but it might not be a common or familiar side dish for other individuals. It has a nice sweetness and nuttiness to it. For texture, there's a nice bite to it, which is ncie since the tuna is very soft and doesn't contribute much to the texture component. Menu: Small Their menu seems quite limited, but again, that is normal for a food truck, I believe. The items they provide do it just fine for me. I appreciate that they also have an option for the vegetarians. The menu we were provided was limited to 4 items, which is fine since the scale of this party wasn't anything too wild and we were able to satisfy everyone with what they provided. --------- Quality: Alright The quality of the food seems OK. It came out within a few minutes for us and I don't think it takes just a few minutes to fry that piece of chicken. I could be wrong though, so no one quote me on that. Just an observation. Service: Quick and fast Because most of the food is already prepared and ready, the interaction with them itself is very limited. They took our order and provided us with the food. Nothing too significant to note and that is to be expected with the food truck. They were very sweet though and explained the menu items to be when I had a question. Ambiance: Simple and cute food truck The design on their food truck is so cute. The riceball is my favorite because it has this very cute face and just looks darling to me. The outside has a simple design with the name and logo on top and then perhaps some of the food items they provide written on the bottom section of the truck. Doesn't seem like anything too fancy, but simplicity is best for me. Location/Parking: Wherever they travel and navigate to Because they're a food truck, they can drive to you, which is really convenient. On Yelp, it states that their located on 36 Commercial Street in downtown, which might be where their truck is serving most of the time. Again, it is a food truck though, so they have the ability to drive to you and travel around to their customers, which is quite convenient is reaching a broader group of people.

I appreciated the convenience of being able to enjoy Verve coffee at the hotel and wish that it had been advertised more prominently.

And then a shot of espresso was an additional $4. The latte tastes really bad and I have no idea how much espresso is in this, but considering this is supposed to be a nice Marriott hotel, I am THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED
