I used to love Philz because of their creative flavors and strong coffee flavor. But for some reason the flavors are not shining through as much as they used to, which makes it hard to justify the price for a specialty drink when it now mostly tastes like coffee that's watered down :( read more

First time visiting this location. I had lunch around this area and decided to grab coffee afterward. This location is spacious with lots of seats inside. I always order Mint Mojito. I should try Salted Butterscotch or Honey Haze next time. I've visited a few locations and I don't think the flavor is consistent, depends on the barista. read more

I bought three 1 pound bags of coffee, two prepackaged and one packaged by Brittany at the location. The prepackaged bags were indeed one pound, the one packaged in the store looked small, so I weighted them at home. The one the store packaged was A LOT LESS that one pound. I called to get the money returned, but got nowhere. Considering the price of a pound of Philz coffee this is unacceptable. read more

Philz is one of my favorite coffee shop chains in the Bay area. As a cold brew drinker, Philz is top tier! I love how you can easily customize creaminess and sweetness levels in the app or in-person. Their staff are generally pretty friendly, and this location is very clean. There is a decent amount of seating, but the tables are mismatched, so you may be sitting next to someone you don't know. Regardless, I highly recommend Philz to anyone who enjoys coffee and is in the Bay area. read more

This is a nice Phil's in Palo Alto. It's close to the Patagonia. The service is pretty quick and friendly. My go-to is the iced mocha tesora less sweet. I get a lot of mochas but I don't find a lot of mochas that taste as creamy as this one! read more

I liked the venue. Lots of outlets to charge phone or plug in laptop. I ordered a medium cup ofcoffee recommended by the cashier. The coffee was delicious. I just thought it was overpriced. $5.75 seems a bit steep for a simple cup of coffee. read more

Super nice employees at this location and very quick and efficient service! I did feel like there was some inconsistency in the product at this location as my usual Iced Mint Mojito Sweet and Creamy was not very sweet at all, so the proportions were probably slightly off when poured. The place was clean for an afternoon during the week. It had tons of folks working out of it which was expected. The workers were really nice! And pleasant to talk to while we waited for our drinks. I also got a chocolate croissant that is no where to be seen because I was starving and scarfed it down. I love Philz coffee. This is my first time at this one and the only reason for the 4 stars was the wait for our drinks and the outside tables were a bit dirty so we had to wipe it down ourselves. I was in the area and decided to try the new caramel drink with cream instead of oat milk. First of all that is heavenly. It reminds me of some kind of oatmeal crème cookie or something. My only feedback besides the drink being delicious was that my drink was 80% ice and not cubes it was a huge chunk stuck together. After a few sips I had an iceberg. First time to a Philz and I have to say I learned something new! I am a regular iced americano girl and I didn't realize this is a brewed coffee place. I actually have never been to a pour over or cold brew only vs espresso place for iced coffee! So I was taught something new and their variety of coffee is different and as I didn't know what I was ordering so I felt a little rushed - not by them but for me just to choose what I wanted and not hold anyone else up. Mobile orders here take a really long time (20-min+) and I always wonder if it'd be faster walking in and ordering since there are more baristas making those orders. A note for next time! Like most chains that grow, they have taken the path to "big is better" and as a result they've obviously picked cutting corner($) where they can. It had been years since I'd been to this location. Parking: only street parking available. I ordered ahead online for hubby and I. Our drinks were ready when we arrived and our food was just about done. Hubby thought his breakfast sandwich was okay, but better than their breakfast burritos that we had on our last Philz visit (diff. location). We sat outside for a bit at their outdoor tables. That's when I felt my mint mojito tasted watered down. Hubby went inside to ask if they could remake it. I thought the guy would get offended but he was professional about it and remade it and even asked my husband how his day was going and began a conversation w.him while he remade it. Whenever I come to visit California I try to come to Philz for their iced mint mojito sweet and creamy style! This location has lots of seating to come and enjoy a cup, study for a bit, or just swing to go. Food I ordered the iced mint mojito and got it sweet and creamy. I think that the creaminess that is added is the best way to have this drink. There are a variety of other flavors and tones of coffee as well if you want a standard coffee drink. Pastries are served here if you want a quick bite as well. Atmosphere Open safe and casual cafe to grab coffee or even study for a bit. Did not see too many wall outlets but I wasn't paying attention too much. Noise level average for a coffee shop. Plenty of natural lighting though. Pricing Average prices for a coffee and is worth the money since it's so good! Service My mint mojito came out pretty quick and I was able to go about my day easily. The staff was nice! Service: treated upon arrival and the cashiers take your dietary restrictions into account, which is sweet. Ambiance: We visited on a Saturday morning around 7:30 and it wasn't busy at all, which I appreciate on an early Monday. The music was soothing and uplifting. Definitely made you feel good. Wait time: Not bad at all! We didn't order ahead and waited about 10 minutes, but because it's such a nice, soothing space, the wait didn't feel like 10 minutes. It was also very clean and organized and you can tell it's well kept. Parking wasn't bad because again, it was a weekend morning. Iced Gingersnap: I had to get almond milk instead of the recommended heavy cream which sucks so bad, BUT it was still soooo delicious! I figured I would either love it or hate it and I LOVED it! Definitely give it a try :) you won't regret it. 10/10 Iced Dirty Chai: Not sure how it's made exactly but it tasted more like tea than it did a dirty chai? It was a tad confusing because I've never tasted a dirty chai that tasted so much like tea. My partner said it was "okay" and still drank it, but neither of us were thrilled about it and we purchase them often other places. Could just be the way it's made here, not sure and it's not a menu item so there's that. My partner rated it 6/10 which isn't bad.
