Overall I would say this is a solid place to have a great meal. Being from California and seeing the people cooking I was VERY skeptical of what the meal was going to taste like. ***Shoot me we have a melting pot and great authentic food made from the source**** I was pleasantly surprised surprised by my meal. I ordered one of the 5 specials: leg of lamb. Now I will say I was disappointed it wasn't on the bone and the meat wasn't as tender as I would have liked but overall the meal tasted really good. For $12.99 the deal for the amount of food was great. Everyone in our group had something different that all looked delicious. They have more than just Greek food which in itself was interesting. At our table there was pork chops, lasagna, pizza, and some Greek dish that I don't recall the name. Overall everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was good, with the server coming back to check on our large group frequently. My two gripes were she kept reaching over everyone which is a big no no is service industry and downright tacky. Additionally, they had their fingers basically in the food when they were bringing some of the plates to the table; which is disgusting. Overall the food, service, ambiance, and price of what you get is great so check this place out.

Timely service, grat tasting authentic Greek food at a reasonable price. They also have Italian cuisine on the menu and great dessert options. The restaurant is decorated in a European style amd goes well with the menu.

I was so hesitant to check this place out. My SO encouraged me, he's a local, and a raving zorba's fan!!! Boy oh boy was I glad I trusted the force. Toss out the odd strip mall location, overlook the outdated decor and seating areas, and instead focus on what Zorbas and their team has mastered. Amazing, flavorful, huge portioned, delicious Greek food that comes out fast with friendly service and a ridiculously reasonable bill at check out. Inflation skipped this place--blessedly!!! I feel so terrible that I judged it so harshly but it is a foodie gem. It has been packed every time we have gone so maybe not hidden but definitely new to me. What they do--they do delightfully!!! The menu is HUGE. I was so overwhelmed with all the amazing options available. The soup of the day, we enjoyed on a frigid December evening, and it was noteworthy. I think it was a lemon and chicken soup. Completely different than I expected, it was creamy, but it was soul warming!!! Like something my grandma would make if you were sick. I had the Greek salad and it was so much food. Even through I was starving upon entry, I still took a whole box home. So good! Are you hungry? Only have a couple of bucks on your wallet? Comfortable with take out bags and eating leftovers? Then this spot is for you!! Hug everyone because they have a super nice set of customers, regulars, servers and chefs and it does feel like eating with family. If you were on the fence--get off now!

I haven't been to Zorba's in probably 20 years and that was at the location near the old Columbia mall. However, on my recent visit home, I met up with one of my oldest friends we headed to the Zorba's Irmo location. I currently live in Hawaii and on this visit home I wanted to show my youngest daughter some of the food favorites from my youth. I was hoping that it would be as fantastic as I remembered and it wasn't too bad. Zorba's was a date spot when I was growing up and from what I could tell from the clientele also dining, that hasn't changed. Zorba's didn't disappoint in either the prices or the portions. Interestingly, I remember it being much more expensive, but that was before I relocated to Honolulu. So now, everything seems to be on sale in South Carolina. That's a win-win as the serving sizes are also ENORMOUS!!! My daughter ordered the fettuccine alfredo with chicken and broccoli. Yes, there are a number of Italian offerings at this Greek restaurant. I wish I could say she said it was fantastic, but she's a teen. However, the leftovers were gone the next day, so I can only assume it was more than acceptable. I ordered the pastitsio and since I had never had it, I had to trust the description, which was pretty much on point. However, that was literally the LARGEST portion of food I have ever been served . . . EVER!!! The service was friendly and helpful. The food, however, took a fair amount of time to be served. But since we were visiting with old friends, it didn't matter in the least.

Good food, service was a bit slow but we were a large group. The fettuccini Alfredo was great!

Great food and great value for your money. Always great service. New tables look great. Never had bad service here!

Bad food. I've eaten in great Greek restaurants and others that are so so but this place gets a thumbs down. They need a talented chef.

I went off the usual rails of what I got there to some extent. Their 2 piece scallops (ordered "as an app") is always a solid decision. They would be wise to put it or another iteration on the app menu. I was wanting a fish entree, and decided to try the trout, as I wasn't feeling pasta. The scallops as an app were amazing, as always, and I expected that to be the highlight of the evening. The trout blew my mind in its flavor and presentation. Far more than I would have thought. Pan seared trout, shaved Brussel sprouts and mushrooms and pancetta with dill cream sauce EXCEEDED my expectations. Brussels are not typically anything I would laud, let alone rave about. But the bed of shaved Brussels with a skin on trout was an absolutely perfect pairing that almost made me want to do it all again that very same night. Brussels are typically boiled mushy or oven roasted, and I always saw them to be limited in flavor profiles.. But the nutty flavor they brought to this dish changed my mind on this vegetable potential. The skin of the trout was crunchy, but amazing. The Brussels were delicate and soft with so much flavor. The sauce on top was a perfect pairing. I was blown away that I had been to this establishment 100+ times and never tried this dish, which I will happily add to the rotation. I typically don't do dessert here, but decided to try the apple crostata. The flavor was amazing. The portion was for two, my waistline now wishes there was a declaration or option of for two or for one when ordered. Overall, I highly recommend the trout with shaved Brussels. Their scallops are consistently good. Their bar waitstaff can be stand-off ish if you aren't a local that lives across the street, but in this instance the waitstaff catered to all, not just the locals. I will keep travinia in my rotation.

We were seated near the bar area, and it was extremely smoky, which made the dining experience uncomfortable for me. On a positive note, our waitress was very friendly, attentive, and answered all of our questions. My spritz was good, and I also enjoyed the calamari appetizer. Unfortunately, the lobster ravioli was extremely salty--to the point that I couldn't really enjoy the dish. Between the smoky atmosphere and the entrée, I left a little disappointed. I'm not sure this is somewhere I would visit again.

Rachel was quick, witty and so sweet and had a way with the kiddos my daughter loved her. We started off with the cast iron goat cheese as the appetizer- solid and even the kids loved it. Literally tasted so fresh and delicious, my husband was going to go with the steak however they unfortunately were out so he went with his second choice which was the creole shrimp and grits which he cleared the plate but that too was sooo delicious. Our waiter recommended drinks for us to start off. I had looked at the menu already so I knew I wanted to try the tuna tostada for an appetizer and my girl got the brick oven broccoli. The broccoli was cooked well , not hard but not soft and had some spice to it. I ordered the hanger steak with sweet potatoes instead of fries and omg it was so good. I got my steak cooked medium well, and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I loved the Parmesan on top of the sweet potatoes. It was the perfect pair. The drink I got was a white sangria which was sweet but not too sweet. You could def taste the wine and all the fruit flavors. My girl go the oven brick salmon and that didn't miss either. There was also a nice roasted red pepper and black olive salad that came with it. My only criticism is that I felt like the portion of octopus was small for $21. Then I decided to try the Boeuf bourguignon. This was definitely comfort food. A very tasty beef stew, but a bit different recipe than I'm used to for this dish. Theirs has potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, and onions. But the broth tastes like they might also use a touch of tomato paste. I could be wrong. Nonetheless, it was tasty and the thick broth was yummy on the piece of crusty bread it was served with.
