Overall I would say this is a solid place to have a great meal. Being from California and seeing the people cooking I was VERY skeptical of what the meal was going to taste like. ***Shoot me we have a melting pot and great authentic food made from the source**** I was pleasantly surprised surprised by my meal. I ordered one of the 5 specials: leg of lamb. Now I will say I was disappointed it wasn't on the bone and the meat wasn't as tender as I would have liked but overall the meal tasted really good. For $12.99 the deal for the amount of food was great. Everyone in our group had something different that all looked delicious. They have more than just Greek food which in itself was interesting. At our table there was pork chops, lasagna, pizza, and some Greek dish that I don't recall the name. Overall everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was good, with the server coming back to check on our large group frequently. My two gripes were she kept reaching over everyone which is a big no no is service industry and downright tacky. Additionally, they had their fingers basically in the food when they were bringing some of the plates to the table; which is disgusting. Overall the food, service, ambiance, and price of what you get is great so check this place out.

Timely service, grat tasting authentic Greek food at a reasonable price. They also have Italian cuisine on the menu and great dessert options. The restaurant is decorated in a European style amd goes well with the menu.

I was so hesitant to check this place out. My SO encouraged me, he's a local, and a raving zorba's fan!!! Boy oh boy was I glad I trusted the force. Toss out the odd strip mall location, overlook the outdated decor and seating areas, and instead focus on what Zorbas and their team has mastered. Amazing, flavorful, huge portioned, delicious Greek food that comes out fast with friendly service and a ridiculously reasonable bill at check out. Inflation skipped this place--blessedly!!! I feel so terrible that I judged it so harshly but it is a foodie gem. It has been packed every time we have gone so maybe not hidden but definitely new to me. What they do--they do delightfully!!! The menu is HUGE. I was so overwhelmed with all the amazing options available. The soup of the day, we enjoyed on a frigid December evening, and it was noteworthy. I think it was a lemon and chicken soup. Completely different than I expected, it was creamy, but it was soul warming!!! Like something my grandma would make if you were sick. I had the Greek salad and it was so much food. Even through I was starving upon entry, I still took a whole box home. So good! Are you hungry? Only have a couple of bucks on your wallet? Comfortable with take out bags and eating leftovers? Then this spot is for you!! Hug everyone because they have a super nice set of customers, regulars, servers and chefs and it does feel like eating with family. If you were on the fence--get off now!

I haven't been to Zorba's in probably 20 years and that was at the location near the old Columbia mall. However, on my recent visit home, I met up with one of my oldest friends we headed to the Zorba's Irmo location. I currently live in Hawaii and on this visit home I wanted to show my youngest daughter some of the food favorites from my youth. I was hoping that it would be as fantastic as I remembered and it wasn't too bad. Zorba's was a date spot when I was growing up and from what I could tell from the clientele also dining, that hasn't changed. Zorba's didn't disappoint in either the prices or the portions. Interestingly, I remember it being much more expensive, but that was before I relocated to Honolulu. So now, everything seems to be on sale in South Carolina. That's a win-win as the serving sizes are also ENORMOUS!!! My daughter ordered the fettuccine alfredo with chicken and broccoli. Yes, there are a number of Italian offerings at this Greek restaurant. I wish I could say she said it was fantastic, but she's a teen. However, the leftovers were gone the next day, so I can only assume it was more than acceptable. I ordered the pastitsio and since I had never had it, I had to trust the description, which was pretty much on point. However, that was literally the LARGEST portion of food I have ever been served . . . EVER!!! The service was friendly and helpful. The food, however, took a fair amount of time to be served. But since we were visiting with old friends, it didn't matter in the least.

Good food, service was a bit slow but we were a large group. The fettuccini Alfredo was great!

Bad food. I've eaten in great Greek restaurants and others that are so so but this place gets a thumbs down. They need a talented chef.

I'm predictable when dining here. I go for the Greek chicken with rice and a salad. The wait staff always adds to the positive energy.

I am extremely disappointed with the service and hospitality our group received at this restaurant…read more This past weekend, we reserved a private dinner for approximately 31 adults to celebrate a 50th birthday. Upon arrival, the restaurant itself appeared beautiful, and our group was seated in a private dining room with water already placed on the tables. Unfortunately, the level of service that followed did not match the atmosphere or the upscale prices we paid. Our entire party appeared to have only one server, whom I later learned was named Sarah. She did not introduce herself, welcome the group, explain how dinner service would work, or tell us what was being served. We were divided among four tables, which already made communicating our needs more difficult. A fifth table was designated as the "food table," where we were expected to serve ourselves both appetizers and entrées. I have attended many group dinners and celebrations, and I have never experienced this type of setup at a restaurant presenting itself as an upscale establishment. The process felt disorganized and lacked the level of hospitality we expected. If guests are paying upscale prices, the service should reflect an upscale dining experience. One of the most concerning moments occurred when it was time to serve the birthday cake. As our dinner plates were being cleared, we expected to receive clean forks for dessert. Instead, Sarah told us that the restaurant was "short on forks" because she believed people were stealing them, and we were told to keep our dinner forks to use for cake. This explanation was both surprising and inappropriate. I later encountered the chef and asked him directly about the restaurant being short on forks. He appeared genuinely confused, told me there was no shortage that he was aware of, and immediately asked whether we needed clean forks. After I explained what we had been told, he brought our group clean forks. That interaction was especially troubling because it left me questioning why our server gave us an explanation that the chef himself did not recognize as true. As a group of predominantly Black guests, the inconsistency in what we were told and the overall way our party was treated unfortunately left some of us wondering whether we were being treated differently because of our race. I do not make that statement lightly, but the experience made the concern difficult to ignore. As for the food itself, it was okay overall, although several items were a bit too salty for our taste. There were also significant issues with the amount of food provided. We initially ordered based on the quantity recommended for our group size when making the reservation, yet we ran out of food during dinner. We then had to wait nearly an hour for additional food to be prepared. After that lengthy wait, we were ultimately unable to take the remaining food with us, despite the amount of money our group had paid. For what we spent on this celebration, the quality of service simply did not justify the cost. This was an important 50th birthday gathering, and several members of our party were veterans. It was disappointing to see our guests receive this level of service during what should have been a special and memorable evening. A beautiful restaurant and upscale pricing are only part of the dining experience. Hospitality, organization, communication, professionalism, and the way guests are made to feel matter just as much. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides additional hospitality and professionalism training to its staff, particularly regarding large private parties. This restaurant has the potential to provide a wonderful experience, but our group unfortunately did not receive one.
