The plaza this restaurant is in is under a face-lift. It is only one of two businesses remaining. The inside of the restaurant was dark and cold. It needs updating. My spouse enjoyed her Chicken Alfredo. She enjoyed the cream sauce. A friend recommended the Antipasto. I was disappointed. I have had much better. The selection of cold cuts was spars. Fresh lettuce and mixed peppers. Too many black olives for this type of dish. A military discount was only given to me. A bit cheapskate if you ask me. Better portion serving for the price that one pays, the dishes were were dirty. It's not an Italian restaurant. It's a Middle Eastern owner who is trying to cook Italian unfortunately not very successful. Ordered eggplant Parmesan came out with one slice of eggplant. Ordered appetizers portion look like a kids serving of one scoop for 10.99. To cook Italian you have to try to know what you're doing. They should've just stuck to Middle Eastern food. I checked out this place for the first time on a Saturday evening with my family. Got there about 5:30pm and it was only a few people there. The host greeted us and sent us at a table. The place seem be dim and outdated. I decided to order the low calorie chicken and spinach dish. My other family member decided to order the grilled chicken and veggie low calories dish and one other person in my family decided to order the extra large pizza all were $13.99 each and one of our family members ordered the chicken parmesan $15.99 The waitress we had was very nice and pleasant and came back to our table several times to see if we needed anything. We didn't have to wait very long for our meal to arrive they served a house salad that came with the entrees. The house salad was iceberg lettuce looked like it's been dried out with a few croutons I didn't care for it. When my meal came the low calorie chicken and spinach dish it seemed like someone took a tablespoon and served it in the dish the portion size was like for a child and was not worth it. The food did not really taste like anything I did not like it. I decided to have a slice of pizza that one of my family members had ordered and that tasted like something that may be served in a school cafeteria setting. Why not I decided to trsted the low calorie veggie platter that my other family member had and that was just as horrible as the low calorie chicken spinach dish that I ordered. I opted out of not trying the last person in my family's dish the chicken parmesan dish the spaghetti to me it looked like something that might have been scooped out of a Chef Boyardee can. The 2 stars are for the 5 star service we received today. She has been there for years now. She's probably the only reason that this place is still open. We have always been a big fan of the pizza. Until today! The pizza has half the amount of toppings that we were used to. As it has been a while since we have been here. Well....come to find out they sold the place about 3 years ago and the last year the business has really gone down hill. Well I guess so if the owners don't want to give you the same amount of pizza toppings and charge you for the same price. The pizza was literally half of what we used to get. We paid 24$ for the pizza that was worth maybe half of that plus 2 drinks. This wasn't a supposed XL pizza but it was maybe a Large Pizza instead. Wound up being $34 and a tip of $6 which I used to give a bigger tip,but it was still $40 and we were not even close to being full. This wasn't the same place or the same pizza we used to get. My family of three visited Luce this evening for the first time. We ordered the spinach dip appetizer, two adult entrees, and one kids meal. The adult entrees each came with bread and a salad. Unfortunately, the entrees came to the table before the appetizer. Our waitress blamed it on someone else taking ours. My husband ordered a pasta with spinach and lemon sauce but found it to be very oily with no lemon flavor at all. I ordered the lasagna and while it wasn't the worst I've ever had, it wasn't anything to be excited about either. It was very mediocre. My son was the only one that enjoyed his meal. He had the kid's spaghetti and finished it entirely. While it wasn't the worst Italian restaurant I've ever been to, it certainly wasn't anything to look forward to returning to. Not a good experience. We ordered a large pizza and a steak sandwich with extra meat to go. Pizza just OK. I think that the previous owners made a much better one as does Marcos. The steak sandwich was regular size and if there was extra meat in it which we paid for, we couldn't find it. The cheese was mostly invisible as well. But the worst thing was the steak sandwich meat had so much salt in it, it was inedible. Overall, a big disappointment!!! read more

What a beautiful restaurant! We received fast service from our waitress, and she was very kind and helpful for our first time with amazing food recommendations. This place is definitely the best Italian food I have ever had. I got the angel hair pasta with creamy marinara, the greek salad with garlic parmesan dressing, the sampler basket, and tiramisu for dessert! My boyfriend got the spicy chicken parmesan and he thoroughly enjoyed his food as well! I cannot believe there aren't more positive reviews about this place. We paid and left, each only taking a bite or two, the food was not good. I don't want to ruin anything for the owners but feel they should know there are major issues. The interior is outdated, dusty (blinds are disgusting) and there are dead insects on the window sill. (A lot of them, it's not one or two bugs.) They have carpet in the dining room and the booth we sat in had deep holes that have been patched several times with duct tape. The tape failed in multiple places. So much so that our youngest changed where she was sitting because she said the seat hurt her legs. The staff was minimal so I am using an assumption they didn't have enough people to address tables. They all seemed nice, so no issues there. The food was (frankly speaking) disgusting. The ziti was so over cooked it was a bit slimy. The sauce isn't anything I can describe- I couldn't eat it. The taste was so bad and heavy. They did have garlic bread. The meatballs were dense and appeared and tasted old. The spaghetti was also over cooked with the same soured sauce. I'm very sorry to do this but if no one says anything they'll never know. I did pay full price and left a tip- we just won't be back. read more

My gosh, where do I start. Let's start with ambiance. All the booth seats were torn and tattered and in serious need of repair. No one has updated the décor in decades, And it had the smell of an old room. The food was tasteless and visually unappealing and I'm sure it was the same sauce used on every pasta dish no matter which one you chose. The service was ok but not ok enough to go back. Instead of "investigating customers google review trails", take all of the criticism and make your establishment safe, up to code and actual authentic Italian cuisine. I'll start this off by saying that yes, we had a party of 8. But, more than half of us at the table are experienced food service workers, so we know that patience is to be expected.... On that note, run away. This place is terrible. My family is from New York. We love Italian food. I had never heard of this place before and were always looking for a local place that is more "authentic" than Sbarro. The girl taking our order seems nice enough. We have 2 young kids with us, we order a bunch of food, but we ask the waitress if the kids food is done first could she please bring it out. They ordered "Superman spaghetti," aka a bowl of spaghetti, and a "Spider-Man pizza," aka a piece of 7" flatbread with sauce and cheese that they microwave to perfection. If anyone is wondering, Spider-Man pizza takes 45 minutes to make, so I don't recommend ordering it if your kid wants to eat with everyone else. Next up, the Philly cheesesteak. It was ordered "all the way," which on earth means that it comes with onions, peppers, meat, and a bunch of cheese on a hogie roll. At this restaurant it means meat, one slice of cheese, lettuce, and tomato, on a toasted Italian roll. Finally, the sauce; I couldn't even give you an honest review of the sauce because we received several different versions of what I assume is supposed to be the same thing. The mozzarella sticks came with a version that was the texture of pure tomato paste. The mini chicken calzone things came with another, and were also served only half microwaved. The garlic knots were served with tomato water. I don't know what was happening. Then we will circle back to the waitress... I fully understand that everyone has an off day once in a while. But this experience was just terrible. 1. She spilled water all over one persons lap at our table. 2. When everyone else's food came out after an extended wait we asked about the Spider-Man pizza and she said it should be right out. That was a lie. Someone obviously forgot it. She didn't ask how to make it better or anything. She just watched as we all cut food up off our plates to serve to the hungry 4 year old. 3. She spilled ice on another person at our table. 4. She dropped one of our order of fries on the floor because she had overloaded the tray. 5. When she brought out the appetizers we asked her for plates and it took her about 6 minutes to bring them back. The restaurant wasn't even busy. 6. After all that our bills were incorrect and we were over charged. I'm not nominating her for worst waitress ever, but when we all went to pay and she asked how everything was, it took everything in me not to lose it. Long story short, go anyplace else. Go home and eat you some Chef Boyardee cold and straight from the can. Save yourself the aggravation. read more

Needs to offer a 0 star rating. We came here a few years ago. The service and food were terrible. The only thing they have going for them is consistency. Today, our family ate here. Service was insanely slow. My sister in law said her pasta looked like a can of chef boyardee and alpo mixed together. Our pizza was Luke warm. Salad came out 15 minutes after food did. We had 3 different appetizers, 4 main meals ranging from the chicken parm to shrimp and mussel pasta, and 4 desserts. We even sampled their cheese pizza. Everything was delicious. Our waitress Bella was amazing. She was always there for us but never hovered. She gave us recommendations and even suggested that we leave the chocolate syrup off of the tiramisu which should never go on tiramisu and it all was so great. Then the check came. $151.00!!!! Yum, yum, yummmmm!!! The food here is absolutely delicious!!! I enjoyed every bite of my baked spinach ravioli so much that within seconds of that first bite, I said "Holy cow! I need this recipe!" My son looked at me like I was crazy, but I didn't care. I was just so impressed with the flavor of that creamy marinara sauce! My son ordered the pepperoni and sausage calzone and his eyes rolled to the back of his head with extreme delight as soon as he took that first bite. My husband ordered the Philly cheese steak "the works" and exclaimed "Oh my God! This is so good. It's even better than the one I had in Philadelphia." So, needless to say, he was also very satisfied with his order. Our bread sticks were baked and seasoned to perfection & served with a marinara sauce that was full of flavor. Once we walked in, we were seated immediately and far away from other customers (which I very much appreciated considering covid19 is still very much present right now). Our server was very accommodating, attentitive and friendly. The whole restaurant was very clean. I have absolutely no complaints and I look forward to coming back here to eat again! Bright spot was the waitress who was practically running kitchen to table etc. Unfortunately the Pollo Spinachi was very poor. It was described on the menu as "Fresh bowtie noodles cooked in our signature lemon butter with fresh marinated grilled chicken and spinach." Nothing fresh about it. I don't think the chef has tasted this food. There was 1 drop of lemon in a bowl of butter soaked pasta. I estimate less than 3 ounces of chicken. The spinach appeared to be a small portion of canned. The dish was 30% butter, 60% bowtie and 10% everything else. Our table and the lighting was a decent atmosphere. Bathroom was a disgrace with pieces missing from toilet seat, sink falling off the wall and generous amount of caulk about 3 inches above where they tried to use caulk to hold it up. Maybe the pizza is keeping them in business but mine pollo spinach was a disgrace and my wife chicken parm was too salty. We paid and went to Hardees for a burger. read more
