The Greek salad came first. This is a SMALL! It had everything you want from a Greek salad. The dressing was the best I've had. Then the gyro, also not small. Perfect sized for lunch. Heard some good buzz about Zorbas, so even though it was a 45 minute drive from home, I visited for lunch. Charming little Greek place. I had a large Greek salad with gyro meat, a bowl of chicken lemon soup (sounded strange, but it was really good) and a piece of baklava for dessert. Everything tasted great. This is my first time trying this restaurant. I ordered two gyros and loaded Greek fries to go for dinner myself and boyfriend. We were both impressed with how much gyro meat was in the gyro's. Very delicious! The fries were just as good. The two ladies that took my order and prepared my order along with the owner did a great job. This was a kind of small Greek/Gyro place in Lawrenceburg. They have a good selection of sandwiches and salads all with Greek spins on it. I went really basic and got an Original Gyro with fries. It comes with warm pita bread as the base and is filled with gyro meat (lamb), tzaziki sauce, tomato, and onion the latter two I left off of my sandwich. The meat was flavoured very well and their tzaziki sauce was a darn good take as well. The fries had a good salt on them and were nice and crispy. Would have been good in ketchup but using the tzaziki sauce was even better. A very delicious lunch if not a little basic. The store looked fine and the staff was very friendly. Wow I'm very surprised at the good reviews for this place. We stopped in for some gyros and Greek salad and were very disappointed, especially given the high reviews. First you order and pay at the counter and they bring the food out, kinda fast food style. So I'm not expecting some kind of amazing service but honestly the girl working there really seemed like she would rather not be there. The place was completely empty. Large Greek salad came out, no extra plates or anything we just had to manage eating off the one plate. Also the dressing wasn't very Greek, it was balsamic. Not bad, but not great and not very Greek tasting. Then came the gyro. It's basically a huge pile of gyro meat. Unfortunately the meat while plentiful was greasy and bland. Never had gyro meat that was so tasteless. The tzatziki sauce, if you can call it that, was watered down yogurt. Again very bland. That's pretty much all that was in the gyro, plus some squished watery tomato and a couple pieces of onion. Honestly one of the worse gyros I've had. If you just want a lot of meat and don't care about the flavor or anything else then I guess you will like this place. My girlfriend had the chicken gyro and she said it was even worse than mine as it was also bland but didn't have much chicken. read more

I have always loved the food at Zorba's but today when I stopped in for lunch I saw that both people preparing the food were wearing neither mask or gloves and one was not wearing a hat. Because getting real Gyro/Kebap meat skewers is next to impossible outside of the biggest cities, I can't complain about the pressed meat skewers they use. That is just the way it is in the US. Prices are ok, but there is one thing I cannot abide: handwritten signs about mandatory 'fees' for using a card. I don't care about COVID or how how hard things are. Times are hard for everyone, and don't you don't get to pass on every single expense to your customers as an after-thought. COVID has ruined our economy and people have forgotten how to run a business. You can raise prices, but you never punish a patron for paying with a card. I have had Greek food at several authentic Greek restaurants in Oregon and decided to try this place . Gyro was a huge disappointment!!! I kid you not grilled chicken breast slightly browned on both sides cut up and put on a small piece of peta bread with some onions and a slice of tomato. ZERO flavor at all not even a hint of salt. Wife got "Greek chili" it was baked beans from a can, ground beef and some hotdogs cut up in it!!! What a joke!! We need this place on Hells Kitchen! So here's the deal I rode up to this place on a Saturday afternoon, starving, but not really sure what it was I wanted to eat. I settled on getting a euro because I haven't had one in a while and with big fan of them , whenever I pulled in and walk through the doors I was instantly hit by the worst craving imaginable because the smell was incredible, the rotating pit of meat was absolutely enticing. I found out they offer whole wheat pita's, which is an excellent option, went with that and place an order for a traditional euro to go. Added extra lettuce tomato and onion, and then waited. And then waited. And then kept waiting. Because despite not having a lot of people in there, and my traditionally thinking of euros being a pretty quick meal, it took almost 15 minutes to get my carryout order. And the whole time I was smelling the deliciousness, watching the chef crisp everything up on the flattop, and getting more and more eager for my meal. I went out to my car, planning on eating it while I continue my drive to visit my family, but as soon as I opened up the wrapper I was amazed at how large it was. This was going to take every bit of two hands, and there's no way I could safely eat it while driving. Fortunately , my weight was so worth it. The crisp on the meat was perfect, offering a crunch but still juicy mouth feel, there was a ton of meat, and the bread was both soft and well grilled. The edges were crispy, the vegetables were fresh, you could not ask for a better euro. The sauce was served on the side, . and did not have much of a flavor at all, but did add a nice creaminess and helps complete the additional taste of the gyuro. so if you're in the area you should definitely stop by and grab yourself one, or try their other location over on the west side. but if you decide to order you might want to call ahead first, because it's an agonizing wait read more
