BEWARE OF FALSE CHARGES FOR EXTRA WEIGHT We rented a 30…read morecubic yards capacity dumpster for 10 days for our one and a half bath remodel in August 2025 on recommendation from our friend who rented the same capacity dumpster for their 4 bath remodel. Both the dumpsters included a 3000 lb weight of construction debris and returned on time within 10 days. When they picked it,our dumpster was 65% full and our friend's dumpster was almost full to the volume capacity. After 20 days of pick up we are charged $280+ for an extra weight of 3100+ lbs ( total of 6100+ lbs). We emailed and called them to provide proof of extra weight, and they told us to send it. But we never got it. Now the interesting thing is my friend having a full dumpster of 4 bath remodel got charged $ 250+ for the extra weight. So my point is there is something wrong with this charge and they just charge randomly for extra weight anyway. After 2 months they are unable to provide proof of extra weight on our dumpster. Even if there is any extra weight, how can it be more than our friend's dumpster. We just want to make people aware of these extra weight charges no matter what the dumpster weight is. So be aware, take a picture of the dumpster before they pick it up for the proof of your claim and make sure you get the proof of the extra weight you charged for. One more thing to think about is for the construction debris of 30 cubic yards volume, the weight limit should be 7000 lb if they are right about their extra weight charges. So my point is even if you see low charges for dumpster rental initially, you will end up paying more because of their extra weight gimmick. The bank won't favor you because you signed an agreement with them while renting it and they have it in their favor. I now see that many other dumpster companies offer a 8,000 (4 ton) limit for this size dumpster. It is not affordable at all! Their weight limits are a joke. You've been warned!
