We made an appointment for the next day at noon for an estimate and, if accepted, a removal right then. The next day two clean cut young men showed up in Austell at 12 on the dot. I had gotten 3 estimates. Theirs was over %70 lower than the lower of the other two. Devon and Ethan carried an extremely heavy Nordic Track Treadmill down a full flight of steps off the deck outside and up the hill by the side of the house and over to their truck. They worked with me and was prompt in the responses. I had to change the appointment last minute and they were very accommodating to the request. They called twenty minutes before arrival and worked quickly to retrieve all items. They even took a couple extra boxes that I forgot to include in pervious request. Price wasn't discussed until after the job, which is the opposite of what their stated policy claims. Crew were hood rats and unprofessional; they knocked over a marquee that borders our driveway, and actually denied it, all my neighbors saw them knock it over. They left a mess in my driveway and trash in my bushes. The workers nagged me for a tip. They also charged $500; I wasn't in the mood to argue more with them so I just paid it so they could leave. I have more that needs removal, I'll be calling a more professional company. read more

Well despite these other reviews I'm reading , my experience was the total opposite. They walked thru my property which ( had been trashed by previous tenants) they've stated they will do before doing a job . I made an appointment online for 3-5pm. I arrived home at 2:15 to a phone message from the driver saying they were running way ahead of schedule and would be early. He also stated they'd call again when they were on their way. The first call was time-stamped before noon. There was a second call around 45 minutes later with no message. I tried calling the driver multiple times and he didn't answer. I ended up calling the 800 number to find out they'd closed out the ticket and weren't coming out... but they'd be more than happy to come tomorrow. No thanks. I'll use a company that respects my time. Changing the time of an appointment set by the customer at the last minute by more than 2 hours and then canceling without communication when the customer can't accommodate is bad policy. read more

Call them to make an estimate. I was told they would be here between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. They totally no showed. I even called at 2:30 PM and asked if they were coming. I was told driver would call in 10 minutes. Never happened. Was called by dispatched that if I rescheduled they would give me a $30 discount. Why does it seem that more and more companies disrespect their new customers by scheduling an appointment and not calling to tell them they will be late or can't make the appointment? This happened to me again on July 3rd. A company called Junk Kings Atlanta was supposed to come pickup the tree limbs in my yard. The appointment window was July 3, 2018, 9 AM - 11 AM. At 12:04 PM I still hadn't heard anything from them, so I called and spoke to Charlie M. He said he would get in touch with the truck and have them call me to tell me when they would be at my home to pick up the junk. I never got a call from anyone at Junk Kings Atlanta and their truck never showed up. Now I have lost another week trying to get all the tree limbs removed from my yard. My recommendation is NEVER do business with a nationwide company called Junk Kings, I know I will never attempt to use them again. Very disappointing that anyone would act like this. If I could give ZERO stars, I would have. I booked an appointment for trash removal online & received an email confirmation shortly thereafter. Per the email confirmation, I would receive a call 15-20 minutes prior to their arrival. Close to the end of the 2 hour window I was given, I called customer no service only to be told they'd call the driver and ask them to call me. This never happened. So I called back 30 minutes later. It's now past my 2 hour window. Yet again, customer no service said they'd call the driver and hung up. I rearranged my entire day and they NEVER showed up and NEVER called!! I set up an appointment for 9AM - 11 AM and it was a no show and no call. I actually called the 1-800 number and they informed me that they would get in touch with manager but the manager never got in touch with me. I set up another appointment on 5/28 and was called by an associate around 8:35 AM and was told that they will not be able to make it till 11:30 or 12:30 due truck problems. At this point, I'm going to hire someone else to come and pick up the trash that I have in my garage. I used this company to remove a king size bed/box spring and an entertainment center. I got quotes from two other companies and Junk King was $100 less than the top quote. I booked them for a Friday afternoon appointment but received a call from them the day before the appt. They were running ahead of schedule and wanted to know if they could come early to get the job done. Luckily I was home and ready for them. Phillip and two other men arrived about 45 min later. They were very professional and friendly. It took them about 10 minutes to remove the items. I was impressed with this company and the team that did the job. Eric and Nicholas were amazing! I wish we had more junk for them to pick up for us :) We hired Junk King to clean out a house that we were purchasing. They were very communicative about the changes in their arrival time. When they arrived, they were super helpful and walked around with us for an assessment of what would need to be removed. They also gave us tips on what to do with things that they could not remove (like paint). I would highly recommend them to any of my family and friends. read more

i wanted a hot tub removed they came out but the tub had rain water in it so I drained it & they said they will be back later that day they never called or came back a week later I get another email asking if I still wanted the tub removed they came out a second time look at the hot tub & they didn't bring out the correct tools to remove it. Then sent me a email with a price increase of $100 if I wanted to have it removed tried to call & talk to the manager (Brittney) who came out & looked at the tub originally but her voice mail was full. Called customer service they sent her a email to call me still no call. I want be using Junk King for any reason and you shouldn't either. read more

I Definitely would use Junk Kings again! They were professional, on time, friendly and they were people of their word. I had a situation with a miscommunication from The booking office but the manager I spoke with, Brittany was extremely courteous and made sure that she kept me as a happy customer. It was the day before Hurricane Irma was supposed to hit our area. I had scheduled online for a pick up of 8 cabinets and misc doors and shelves staged in my driveway. It was a race against time. With no other drivers available, Erik Castillo made the one-hour drive down to personally pick up my junk and haul it away before it was flying through somebody's window in the high winds. In my opinion he went above and beyond the call of his job. I am grateful that Erik came late in the afternoon to pick up my junk, or else I would have had to load it all back into the garage and wait out the storm. The team arrived on time and was done within an hour. We liked their emphasis on green removal. If anything could be recycled, they do that. We were very pleased. read more

I had an appointment set up for between 11am and 1pm on Sunday, June 11th. They called me early in the morning while I was asleep, and I obviously missed the call. At around 1:15pm I called Junk King to figure out what went wrong and was told that the truck would text me that day to get things removed. They never called. They never texted. Nor did they on Monday, or Tuesday. So finally on Wednesday I cal corporate to ask what the deal was and I was promised that a truck would be by between 4 and 6 PM to get my stuff. At 3:45 I get a call asking for a texted picture of the debris and I send them one. It's a small pile next to a dining room chair. I purposefully placed the chair next to cut down bush for scale. I get a call back saying that it would a FULL truck load and over $500 to remove. If I were to put all the debris in paper yard bags it would take no more than four bags... how does that, plus one chair, equal a full truck load? Incompetence, grifting, or laziness... I am not sure which was at play here, but I am surprised that these guys are still Junk King franchisees; the Junk King folks in Gwinnett county removed over 30 trash bags for me and charged $115. Be very, very wary of this particular Junk King. read more
