The space is small, and there was a slight musty smell, likely due to the building being older. The menu is extensive but not very descriptive--adding photos would definitely help first-time visitors. We started with the empanadas, and they were hands down the best we've had at any Colombian restaurant across the U.S.--fresh, perfectly filled with potato and meat, and paired with a flavorful green sauce that really stood out. For entrées, my husband ordered the bandeja paisa and I had the rolled chicken. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The chimichurri sauce served with the chicken was especially good and added great flavor. Overall, despite the ambiance and menu limitations, the food truly shines. I ended up ordering the combo curry goat and oxtail platter with rice and peas, plantains and then a beef Patty and a slice of Red Velvet cake. I thought the food was really well done, well, seasoned, and excellent in terms of quality and quality. The patties were equally authentic and had the adequate amount of meat filling you would want. The only criticism was the red velvet, which I didn't think was legitimate Red Velvet, but rather red cake mix with a cream cheese icing. That being said, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't authentic Red Velvet. Service was also prompt and helpful with no more than a 7 to 8 minute weight from start to finish. Every baklava we have ever had is different and we LOVED it. I was so full and was only going to have 1 bite, but that wasn't my story. Our server was amazing. She was friendly and helpful. She asked where we were from and recommended a few restaurants in South Florida for us to try. The restaurant can be fancy or casual - your choice. I love their grilled chicken and roasted white sweet potatoes. My favorite dressing is the white balsamic date. My husband enjoys the pitas. He has gotten a wide variety of options.
