We were in Savannah for 7 days and Troy's came up via Yelp around the corner from the hotel we were staying at. I love Mediterranean food, no matter where from, and know that every type is just a little different. We started with a shepherd's salad and server, without asking, had it split in the kitchen. So nice and thoughtful. The salad had great flavor and my husband and I loved it. We would have both preferred slab feta or even crumbled feta instead of shredded feta. Personal preference but we still loved it and we could taste the feta, so it wasn't a deal breaker. My husband has the lamb. He loved it. It wasn't a plate full of rice, which he also appreciated. The pricing was reasonable and the lamb was cooked perfect. I had the Falafal sandwich. I would have preferred tahini vs tzatziki but it was tasty. The Falafal was a little mushy for my palate but still good. They came with steak fries - my favorite kind of fry! We ended with the baklava. Every baklava we have ever had is different and we LOVED it. I was so full and was only going to have 1 bite, but that wasn't my story. Our server was amazing. She was friendly and helpful. She asked where we were from and recommended a few restaurants in South Florida for us to try. The restaurant can be fancy or casual - your choice. They made us feel welcomed and we enjoyed our meals. We would definitely go back next visit to Savannah - and there will be many more trips if our daughter ends up going to SCAD. read more

Great place! It had incredibley good service. It's a great place to go for a romantic dinner or even just a casual meal. We started with bread, I thought the bread was just okay. Then we ordered a shepard salad. They didn't have to do this, but it was very nice, they split it in to two for us. The salad was really good, it was chopped and loaded with flavor. I thought my wife was getting a gyro, at the last second she went with a falafel pita instead. It tasted good but she said the texture was bit funky. Awsome fries! Me, I had lamb chops, it was served with asparagus and rice. First the rice , a normal sized portion, and it tasted good. The asparagus, cooked perfect, also incredible good. Finally the lamb chops, OMG, cooked perfect, tasted great. Loved the lamb chops! We finished it off with some baklava. The whipped cream on it was different, but it was good. My first visit was actually a to go order so didn't get the pleasure of the indoor dining space. It was on a Friday and they were busy but attentive to our arrival. We ordered a lamb gyro and the spinach pie and the falafel balls. Everything was delicious and fresh and hot. Visiting Savannah for the first time and we were STARVING ... decided on Mediterranean and we were NOT disappointed. We were greeted immediately and Dalton was so funny and nice as he took our orders! We each had a dessert appetizer as we waited for our to go orders and I had the tiramisu... so good! 10/10 with a mostly Halal menu! First off, the service was amazing. Our waiter, Chris, got us seated and ordered even though there was only about an hour before closing and we had a party of 5. He was quick without us feeling rushed (even though we did our best to be quick) The restaurant had a few others in it and a great atmosphere overall. I enjoyed the cute decor. The food itself was so amazing, I would go back easily and order new things to try. My personal favorite was the lamb chop and the spicy lamb burger, both were packed with amazing flavor and the burger has the perfect amount of spice. Pricing wasn't too bad either, a little spendy but worth every penny in my opinion. I wish I had taken pictures but everything was too good for any of us to want to pause. read more

I really enjoyed my late lunch experience at Troy's. I came here with family, and while it's tucked away in a plaza it's a hidden gem. Being greeted with a smile from Gwendolyn, we were seated immediately. We got the Miz Mezze platter to try a bit of everything. Everything was pretty especially the grape leaves and eggplant spread. This is my go to spot,the atmosphere is great for a nice date. You can actually hear the conversation. The food is always great . The service is excellent, the ambiance is really nice. Don't judge the outdoor location by what you will find outside. However, this place just does not hit my flavor palate. It could be what I ordered (chicken kabob meal) and the meze appetizer. It lacked flavor, and seasoning. I will say that I have tried many of Mediterranean restaurants and there have been some that are hit or miss. The lack of flavor was so off putting. They do have a good wine selection. It's no wonder that this place is known as the best Greek or Mediterranean food in the area. Because the food definitely does not disappoint. Generous serving sizes, flavorful food, with a great selection. Chris was who took care of us, and he gave great customer service, apologizing for the wait, answering questions, and making sure we were well hydrated. The con. Post COVID it seems like wait times at most restaurants have increased with a lack of staffing. This place certainly was no exception, as the wait time for our food seem to be unusually long. Again, our server would check on us, he was very apologetic, and when the food came he checked back to make sure our expectations and see if we needed anything. But that being said, the wait for a table long, especially considering the restaurant was only half full. And the wait time to get things, was unusually long. The food was great, our server was friendly and helpful (albeit, a little forgetful and had to ask us things multiple times) but very pleasant, and the ambience was nice. The prices were AWESOME. I had the gyro sandwich with an option of a cup of soup, french fries or a side salad. I chose the side salad and I feel like it was a really good choice, it was very good and provided a great compliment to the gyro. The hero sandwich was quite filling, I am definitely full and it was all very tasty. The lemon sauce in the gyro was good but I do prefer the traditional sauce in a gyro over the lemon sauce. The server brought water to the table and paper menus. The decor and ambiance was better than I was expecting! I ordered the Sheppard Salad to start and the Falafel Platter for dinner. The Sheppard Salad does not come on a bed of lettuce! It was flavorful and delicious. The falafel platter was great, I would have liked a bigger portion of rice though. I was hungry only an hour to two after dinner. My friend ordered the hummus as an appetizer and I tried a bite. It was fresh, and flavorful, and the pita was warm and soft. I highly recommend it! The menu is what you'd expect for a basic Mediterranean restaurant. The tzatziki is more like Turkish cacik. It's thinner and didn't have chunks of cucumber. I love Mediterranean and I'm glad Savannah had something good to offer! The charcuterie board was absolutely amazing, and was my first board with the salad and turkey slices, believe it or not. The plates servings were definitely enough for 2 drunken hungry girls :D. I enjoyed the Mixed Kebab Plate and it was absolutely delicious and had over 4 or 5 different types of meats.
