This lovely cafe is literally directly across the street from public beach access in Daytona Shores- I'm talking, we walked 4 minutes to get some coffee & lunch here from our spot on the sand. Couldn't be more perfectly located! Not only that, but it is REALLY good. This ain't no tourist trap type food, it's real and unique and delicious. When we first walked up there were some older geezers who were clearly locals sitting out have their coffee- that's how I knew we were already at the right place. It's super cute inside and they have a big menu. It's kind of mediterranean/ Greek inspired food which is cool. We had to wait awhile for the food but you bet it was worth it. Everything we had was so fresh and top knotch. I tried the caprese sandwich on a bagel and it was loaded with ingredients and flavor. Even the oatmeal came in huge plastic containers full of fruit, brown sugar and other toppings. The coffee hit the mark as well. If you like matcha you'll definitely want to try it here- you can get it flavored too, my friend tried a blueberry matcha that was not too sweet but really well balanced. Super impressed this spot and can't wait to come back. The staff was really friendly and helpful as well. They even have Dubai chocolate bars for sale there that we were tempted to try.

Chloe is very comfy in the lounge area at Zugba! And there was another cute fluffy running around in here to greet her!

Get the Hot, Dirty Chai Tea Latte and the freshly baked croissant! Real spiced tea not the powdered kind, with espresso and it was oh so good. I'm a croissant snob and prefer the homemade ones rather than the mass produced ones that some shops order and bake on premises. This is the real REAL all around!

The food was all inhaled by the way. It was DELICIOUS. The service was so friendly and the food came out hot! The ambiance of the place is adorable, hints of purple everywhere. I am excited to come back another time.

This place is super creative with their menu and I loved the waffles I have tried the s'more's and Oreo waffles and they're the best sweet treats and the frosting on it is AMAZING. Love it. The people working are always kind and friendly. The place has a very chill and nice vibe they have lots of seating it's a great place to go.

This cafe was so amazing! We came in on a Sunday morning for a coffee and small breakfast and were so surprised at how great the food was as well as the service. Vibes were very warm and comfortable. Food was cooked to order and you could tell the staff were very proud of what they were serving. Coffee was delicious and had so much variety. I will definitely be coming back!

Pumpkin Frappachino and Dubai Chocolate Croissant

In Daytona Shores for the day and found Zugba Cafe. As part of Pumpkinquest 25 I had a Pumpkin Frappachino, 2 shots of espresso, pumpkin and cinnamon with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and very light carmel drizzle on top. My friend got a vanilla frappachino, more subtle but the espresso flavor was smooth and delicious. They have homemade pastry and we chose Dubai Chocolate Croissant with a crunchy Pistachio Butter Filing. YUM! Hot day so we ate our lovely snack inside. Small but welcoming seating area with soft jazz playing in the background. Lovely stop on a busy shopping day. Our server,Baba, was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Zugba Cafe for delicious espresso drinks and wonderful homemade pastries. Zugba also has a large assortment of teas, coffees, refreshers and smoothies and we will definitely return to try more of this unique and wonderful restaurant! Kate the Artist.

Amazing place! Three of us went for breakfast. Two got avocado toast, one of which had an added egg, and I got a sausage egg and cheese. To drink we got a two lattes and an americano. Everything was fantastic. Fresh and great quality. Well presented also. The owner was very kind and friendly. We hope they do well. Please go try it!

Wonderful experience! The drinks were excellent, the food was delicious and fresh and the service was a +10/10. Their tres leche is my new favorite desert! They really do cafe and breakfast right. Would recommend to anyone in the area this will start your day off right

Food was delish and very quick. Presentation of our meal was perfect. The place was not full so it was quiet and peaceful for our breakfast.

Ham, egg and cheese sandwich on Sourdough

Zugbas was incredibly cute and modern, with an undertone of Asian cafe aesthetics. This isn't the place to come if you're in a rush, they run on beach time, and if you're visiting you should take a breath and enjoy slowing down for a bit. The barista was super knowledgeable and skilled at her craft. Our server seemed a little inexperienced and forgetful, but she was very friendly. The Oreo coffee was INCREDIBLE! And the tarp cheese cake (not pictured because we grabbed it to go) was well balanced and smooth! My ham and cheese sandwich was also really nice and flavorful- the ham in particular made that sandwich great. The bagel we found was too garlicky and a bit too busy with flavors. I think we would have preferred something a little more simple or with a clearer star of the dish. Overall, we'd be happy to check it out again if we were in town.

Cute lil hangout. The gluten free bagels were delicious. Pricy for one bagel but as a treat it was worth it.

A handful of outdoor tables, the rest inside, all clean and efficiently turned. Everything comes out fast and hot--service is brisk, bordering on assembly-line smooth. The French toast ($9) is as basic as it gets: two slices, a dusting of powdered sugar, syrup, and a lonely half strawberry. It tastes exactly like what it looks like--standard, soft, slightly forgettable. Not offensive, just... there. The latte was solid, and my mom's coffee was hot, strong, and dependable. The avocado toast tried, but didn't quite land. Cream cheese base, fried egg, tomato, and sliced avocado--some of which leaned a little too ripe. The tomato had a firm bite, the bread barely toasted, and the whole thing felt under-seasoned and uninspired. It needed salt, crunch, personality--something. The double chocolate muffin was moist, soft, and generously studded with melted chocolate pockets. Not house-made-feeling, more like a well-executed bakery standard--but still the best bite of the morning. (They also offer cranberry walnut and blueberry.) Bottom line: Skip the composed plates. Grab a muffin and a coffee--it's the smartest, happiest move here.

The new owners immediately made facility changes that vastly improved the look and feel of the shop. Not only new flooring, but the display cases, reach-in coolers, furnishings and other customer comforts. They "tidied up" the place and fixed stuff - exactly what was needed. They also expanded the existing menu without taking a blow torch to it. From my interactions with the staff, it was pretty obvious the owners were wanting to learn more about downtown Daytona, their legacy customers, and the changing market. Changes they made were mostly tweaks, all seeming to be received positively. Since the new year, it's obvious Serra Doce is leveraging all they've learned and have made major changes and improvements. They seem all in. There is now a brunch and à la cart breakfast and amazing sandwiches, pastries and fresh fruit offerings. Truly, Serra Doce has retained the best of why I've always enjoyed my coffees at this location, and expanded my choices with really amazing food offerings. The service is great. It's tough to keep staff these days, and like any regular place I go to, I do see new faces. But old ones too. All of my interactions have always been wonderful. It's why I come back. And it's still an affordable spot and, MOST IMPORTANTLY dog friendly and welcoming.
