Huge shout out to Adrian and DJ! I was on my way out to a trip and was running a bit late. I had called about placing some shoes on hold prior to leaving on a trip and the problem was, I was going to show up almost 20 minutes late. I had called to cancel the hold but DJ had promised he would keep the gate open a little later past the closing hours! When I showed up everyone was in a good mood even though I was sorta holding them up but they all treated me like I was some sort of celebrity. Big shoutout to Jacob. I went in to buy a new skateboard for my son for Christmas and Jacob was very knowledgeable and attentive. I could tell that he genuinely loved the process. He walked me through the pros and cons of each selection and when it came time for him to assemble the board he made very interesting conversation while he worked. He also made sure that the build stayed at the price I asked and I was blown away that the assembly was included in the price. All in all I feel like the bang far exceeded the buck and that was primarily because of Jacob. My son loves the board. read more

On Sunday around 4pm my husband , my son and I visited the store and when we walked in we were greeted by a young lady who I believe told us her name was California (I could be wrong , but that's what I remember) and she asked us if we needed help . we told her we were just looking, but as we were walking back out , there was a shirt that caught my husbands attention. He grabbed the stack of shirts to look for his size and she quickly approached us since she noticed we were looking for something . I told her "we are looking for a size 2X" and right away she made a disgusted face and said "oh... no. We don't... " and I said "oh ok thank you" . And she stayed there for a minute and continued saying "yea we don't.. that's why I made that face because we don't" . My husband felt very uncomfortable, embarrassed , and even descriminated because of the face she made and the way she looked at him when we asked for that size . She could have simply said "no we don't" . the face that she made a was very unnecessary and very rude.the second we left he told me "I didn't like that, I've never felt so judged". This was one of the first stores we had walked into and it ruined our whole shopping experience because he was feeling insecure ever since we left this store . I wish she would have been more mindful of the way she made him feel . It's not even like she tried to play it off . My boyfriend and i went to the Zumiez at Ontario mills mall on Easter. I found two dresses that i wanted to try on, so i let an associate know. The associate asked me to go to the back of the store where another associate (who was helping a customer at the time) would let me into a fitting room. Once i had come out of the fitting room, i found my boyfriend. My boyfriend had found two shorts he wanted to purchase but i asked him to try them on before doing so. We went to the back of the store, but there was no associate to let him in the fitting room. Another customer who also had clothes to try on, went to the front to grab an associate to open the fitting rooms. My boyfriend went in, came out, decided he didn't like the fit of the shorts, so he left them on the counter. After not finding anything we liked, we left the store and walked across the mall. A few minutes after entering a different store, we were stopped by a short caucasian male who said he needed to check our bags and my purse. He said that he was "LP" of the store and had found sensors in the fitting room that we were in. At first i was a little confused because i hadn't tried anything on at the store we had entered. It then clicked that he had followed us from Zumiez into the other store. My boyfriend didn't want to let him look at our bags. I had nothing to hide so i opened my purse and let him look at my personal belongings. My boyfriend then followed and showed him our purchases from the previous stores. I have worked for a few retail stores and am now a retail manager for an optical business. Because of my experience, i understand that every store handles theft in a different way. I have never been stopped or accused of shoplifting. It was an embarrassment to have been followed and stopped in front of a busy mall to have someone look in our bags. The associate never saw us put anything in our bags. And if the staff had been observant and aware of the people (and items) coming in AND out of the fitting rooms, i would not have had to waste my time writing this. There was no associate to take the clothes we did not want, there was no associate to check/count the clothes being taken in, and there was no associate to check the fitting room (for sensors, etc) prior to customer's trying on clothes. Once i got home and shared my story with family, they encouraged me to complain. I called the store to get the name of "LP" and was informed by the associate who answered that there is no such thing. Not getting very far with the associate, i asked him for the store manager. He handed the phone over to Dominic. Dominic informed me that he was LP. He made no effort to even ask why i was calling. As a manager, your job is to put customer's first. I know that some customer's may be more difficult than others, but when you falsely accuse a customer of stealing and not even an apology is offered, you're in the wrong business. To avoid falsely accusing another customer, i suggest making sure there is an associate at the back of the store (fitting rooms), more importantly when you know that there are a few people trying on items. I may not have been a loyal customer, but due to the lack of customer service i am no longer a customer at all. read more

Went to buy a pair of shoes but didn't check them before I left the store, wrapped them and gave them as a gift. I think I was more surprised than the person who received the gift...totally not the shoes I asked for!!! Went to the Zumiez at their Montebello location to exchange the shoes for the pair we wanted. Made sure they grabbed the right shoe this time...come to find out when we were on our way home that they were the wrong size. We are currently on our way to the Ontario location to exchange them, hopefully for the last time to just be done with it. This was such a disappointing experience but I guess I now know not to rely on Zumiez employees to give us the right shoe or size. Check both before leaving any location! read more

I bought my brother new shoes for Christmas here and I got the wrong size so we went to exchange them but because they were out of the shoe they had said we can get the same shoe but in white instead but then when we went to check out they said we had to pay the difference because it was a different shoe so it was a different price. But in all reality it was the SAME shoe just a different color !! And it wasn't our fault they were out of the shoe we needed. And on top of it all the worker was rude asf saying well it's not our fault if u don't like it u can go to our other location in Victoria gardens but they'll tell u the same thing. And just over all saying everything rude and with attitude and she's lucky I had to go to work and didn't have time to fight this out but I think it's ridiculous how I was treated after coming to this location many times before and loving it and this one worker ruined the whole thing for me by being rude and telling me to go somewhere else if I don't like it. I've spent probably over $3000 and was probably becoming a regular shopper for this location but that just ended I will never go back to this location because that worker was over all rude asf and completely unprofessional at all!!! read more

Not only do they help assist you , give suggestions, let you in on the sales or discount they have going they are beyond kind I mean truly happy and kind young men. I had a great experience in this store from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. On December 5th I went in the store with my last $20 to buy my daughter some type of Christmas gift I can only afford a pair of socks which happened to be buy one get one half with the few dollars I was saving thanks to Aaron pointing me in the right direction I got up to the register and noticed Aaron had on the bracelet that my daughters been wanting. I asked him how much they were and noticed I didn't have enough. He asked me did I want it and I said no not this time. I think he noticed I couldn't afford it and he took his off his wrist put it in my bag and said Merry Christmas!! He made my day. Good service BUT the store is ALWAYS A DISASTER. Its extremely hard to find anything in this store. I wanted to look a watch in one of the cases and the young man helping me had to remove tons of product off the case just to open it.
