I've been to this location a lot over the last 10-15 years while visiting in the shopping center. From time to time, I've even lucky to find some good walking shoes for myself. My family and I have been on the hunt for some good walking shoes for my toddler since he is now taking off running in any and every direction he can. There was not a huge selection for the smaller toddler shoes. He is a size 4 & there were maybe two pair in the entire store one of them being a pink pair. From the time we walked in to the time we were searching, not one person approached to ask if we needed assistance . We did end up asking for help & the manager we found was really friendly. Friendly staff. Store is clean and organized. One of the employee informed me, the store will have a grand opening on June 10. Prizes and food will be served, hot dogs, popcorn and drinks. Went for the buy 1 get 1 50% off and wasn't told it was on certain shoes only but was told as I was about to pay. The sale was on a small selection of shoes so I feel like it should be told to the customers as they come in but the employees were too busy talking and FaceTiming their friends. There was 2 girls there and the girl walking throughout the store was talking so loud and inappropriate on the phone and was so unprofessional. They were only attentive to me at the end when it was time to pay. I had also asked for another shoe lace since the sensor on the shoes I got made a hole in the shoe lace. I was told that they could order me a whole different shoe if I wanted a different shoe lace. When I told her no thanks and still purchased the shoe she then jumped back on her FaceTime call as I was paying. If they both weren't so busy on their phones they could've explained the sale properly. I will never go to this location again. It's really not that hard of a job for incidents like that to happen. I bought 1 pair on Nikes, 1 pair of Nike slides and 2 packs of socks (8 pair of socks in each pack making it 16 socks). I only paid $92.00. I'm shocked on how well the prices are at Famous Footwear. Great experience! I was going to order some shoes online for a Christmas gift but decided to just drive down to the store and pick them up so I wouldn't have to wait the 2-5 business days to receive them. The store was empty when I arrived, one other customer walking around but the gentleman standing in front was very friendly and inviting. He asked if I needed help finding anything I did let him know I was looking for men's running shoes. He pointed out the different aisles that had their selection for what I was looking for. As I looked around he would come back to give suggestions. If they didn't have the size I was looking for he could order them online. I did end up finding the shoes I was looking for and purchased them. I also was able to get an extra 15% off my purchase because I had found a coupon online that I was able to use in store. I was walking by today, stopping at a few shops on my way to Target and saw an ad on the window for some shoes my mom would love. When I walked in with my kids, the man behind the counter didn't greet us... but as soon as the person he rang up left, he came to stand right next to us. He didn't make any comment but was moving shoe boxes around and sort of looking in our direction. I felt like I was being watched like a potential shoplifter. For goodness sakes, buy some video surveillance cameras rather than have your staff act creepy. Not every tired mom lugging kids is there to steal; aren't we your main clientele? I am giving a second star because there were cute shoes (!) and the prices were ok. I just didn't feel welcome. read more

So glad to see a Famous Footwear in the IE. I believe the is a new store and I'd like to see it kept clean. Please wipe down the seating area so we don't have to worry about the grime on the seats while sit to try on the footwear. Also instead of the salesperson staring out the window maybe they should walk around the store with a carpet sweeper. read more

The store manager Gilbert is phenomenal! My family has been at the North Fontana location several times and always receive good ol fashion department store service that you only see in old black and white reruns on tv. No joke! I will only buy from this store, thanks Gilbert. You are an asset to this company. On one of the visits they didn't have my size and he ordered them to be delivered to our home that week. These guys have stock on hand in all sizes which is something we've always appreciated and the one time they sold out Gilbert was not gonna lose that sale while making the experience quick and easy. He took our info left us to continue our shopping then confirmed when we went to the register to pay for the other purchases. Check these guys out if your tired of the rude Al Bundys out there. We have 4 kids so the fact that we've always had a great experience says a lot of how this store is ran. read more

Super frustrated with this location. My parents went in and were looking for 2 pairs of converse. One in a size 9 for men and the other in a size 8.5 for women. My parents were told that both of these sizes were out of stock. Since there was a BOGO sale going on and they didn't want to miss it, they ordered them with the associate on staff to have them delivered. Well the associate messed up the order and ordered the 8.5 in men's. Not women's. This was supposed to be my christmas gift but since it was messed up my parents just ended up giving me the shoes so I could go exchange them for the correct size. When I went in to exchange them the associate let me know that I could exchange them but I wouldn't be able to do an order, I would have to wait until they were in stock in store. She told me some lousy excuse that any women sizes below a size 9 could not be ordered. Which would make no sense at all due to the fact that would mean any women with an average size foot could not order shoes. This was also told to me AFTER she tried doing an exchange and had already put my money onto a giftcard which now I wouldn't be able to get back to go purchase the shoes elsewhere. I was told they get shipments every Tuesday so I went in a couple times checking for my size and every time my size was not there. Finally this last time I went I asked a different associate about it and this one told me they don't carry half sizes in store ! Every person my parents and I have dealt with said something completely different ! This staff needs to get it together and have a meeting or something to get on the same page. So after this woman told me they didn't carry them in store, she let me know she could order them. Again, I had been told differently before. So this associate ordered the shoes and I used a $10 off $50 coupon and I was hoping that this would all be fixed and I could just have my shoes. But no. They were delivered and they are NOT even the CORRECT shoe ! The delivery ALSO did NOT have a receipt. Thankfully I have my receipt from the store. I will be going in and demanding this be fixed AND I will also be demanding that I still get the benefits of the coupon I used. I will not pay a remaining fee since the coupon is no longer valid since this is THEIR MISTAKE. TWICE !! Hopefully I will not have to add to this review if they don't fix something that they've messed up twice. This location needs to get their act together ! read more

Wonderful experience! I have not been in a FF in years but I started working where I'm constantly on my feet and walking so I had to say buh-bye to my heels and look for some comfortable shoes. My flats were also killing me and a friend had recommended Life Stride. I googled and found that FF carried the brand. After leaving work, I had 30 minutes before they would close. I called in advance and asked them to see if they did have it in stock and they happily confirmed with me. I told them that I would be rushing over but would get there a few minutes before closing, would that be alright? The staff said it was just fine. As soon as I walked in, he had pulled out some pieces for me in my size (I mentioned my size over the phone) and I tried them on. The style I tried on was a leather material and seemed like I would really need to break them in before they got comfortable. I didn't want that. He (I think he was the manager) and another female staff recommended other ones. He showed me another style of the same brand (this brand has memory foam) and I tried this one on and it was perfect. He grabbed my size, rang me up while reminding me to log onto the app so I could get a coupon. I left a happy customer! Great service, kindness, knew their products, and customer centric.
