The house specialty cocktails are all great (LOVE "Leaving Lex Vegas") -- especially if you are lucky enough to get the husband as your bartender! The tuna tostada app with matcha salsa was insanely good - the blend of flavors and textures was mind-blowingly good. Wedge salad with fried chicken and homemade ranch rocked! Lamb with pistachios was superb. This place is a true local gem!!

My husband and I shared the coconut shrimp appetizer and the chicken piccata. They were both fantastic. The chicken, roast potatoes and vegetables were cooked perfectly and the flavor was delicious. I hope to return on our travels south one of these days.

They have a very cute patio in the back of the restaurant. I got the Lex vegas, it was thick because of the puree. I didn't think about that, it wasn't as refreshing as I thought it would have been. I really didn't have too much interaction with the staff as we just ordered a drink and then online pickup but everyone seems nice and helpful.

My shrimp were pale and covered in a weird cream sauce with mushrooms and tomatoes. The grits were stiff with hardly any flavor. I had some shrimp shells on my plate too. My husband's Gumbo was just as sad. It looked like cafeteria food. His okra was soggy and flavorless and the rice was so over cooked. 4 stars??? Absolutely not!!! The only redeeming factor was the good service and friendly staff.

The dumplings were not bad but when I found that some of the "chicken" was skin and even a bone I was disgusted. There was not even a half chicken breast total in the 2 orders. I don't know who is really doing the cooking for this takeout service but it is not good.

I did enjoy the slaw, which had a nice vinegary taste. It was definitely the size of a full entree so don't let the "lighter fare" heading throw you off. I would probably come back if I were in the area!

We asked for a little bit more tequila to add to it, but it didn't help much. I think was balance was all out of wack. The guacamole we ordered also never made its way to our table, and we had to ask the cashier to confirm with our waiter that they need to take it off our bill because we never got it.
