The setting up of the appointment was easy with an initial phone conversation and follow up texts to finalize the day and time. Easy to work with. Jay, who performed the service, replacement of gear on the single garage door opener, is very friendly and professional. He did recommended that I have both doors balanced as they were off and he serviced both of doors, which was not covered my homeowners warranty, but I know I needed to get it done. He balanced, tightened all screws and rivets and lubricated both doors and they are smoother now. The 20-year old Liftmaster had its golden years but was in need of a checkup. Old Republic home warranty company dispatched ZZ to the rescue or in this case help put it down peacefully. Omar was on time and spent a good amount of time testing the insides but he had to give a bad prognosis. It needed to be replaced by a younger, sexier, quieter, belt-driven, wi-fi connected, and keypad enabled version. So be it. After some negotiations we agreed on a fair price and he did all the paperwork. Again, Omar went out of his way to do the install in a timely manner and I appreciate that. I'm happy to report that after a few weeks, everything works like a champ. I got my $295 reimbursement from Old Republic and a fully functional garage opener. Yay me. read more

I had several bad experiences with another Home Warranty Company in a previous house, so I really didn't expect to get much out of process. This is the worst experience I have ever had, by far. I am not sure how they keep can call them selfs a business. I scheduled my appointment and they gave me a window of 2 hours. They never bothered to call me to tell me that they would be over 30 minutes past that time frame because they had been to busy to call me. If I could give them no stars I would. I have to say that ZZ Garage Doors provided amazing service. Omar went above and beyond to make sure that my door is operational. He provided service beyond his responsibility. ZZ was originally sent from my home warranty company. The balancing of my door was not covered and I was disappointed that I was going to pay an additional $200 for this. Needless to say, Omar didn't charge anything close to that and said "I just want my customers to be happy". This guy doesn't know me at all and took care of me like I'm a friend or family member. I'm pretty sure my garage door used to activate the Richter Scale and wake up any sleeping neighbors anytime I opened it. It was getting annoying and something needed to be done. I called ZZ Garage Doors based on a reference from a friend. The technician came out and explained to me that the motor I currently had in there wasn't the best and it was even too weak for my door. He suggested a replacement motor and within a short period of time had it installed and ready to go. The price was reasonable and the work was done in an acceptable time frame. He even cleaned up around where he worked (I hate when people come do work and leave a mess!) Now my garage door is quiet; which in itself was worth the money! Not only that, the technician did a thorough job inspecting the door and its components and showed me that the jamb seals were worn out. He explained to me that jamb seals keep out water and debris, which is really important when you're using your garage as a storage area. Called Old Republic to get garage opener worked on as it had power but nothing worked. Did a little research and figured it was the logic board because even the chamberlain manual indicated the same. Called on Thursday, they told me ZZ Garage would be in contact. No call until Sunday. Came out on Friday and indicated the logic board was out then says the sprocket is bad that the cables should be replaced, says the side brackets is bad and that the pole might need replacement. I indicated that only wanted the side bracket replaced and the logic board as the warranty apparently only covers the opener itself. Get a call today from Old Republic who says they are denying the claim because the strain on the door caused the logic board to burn out. They even spoke to Omar about it after he told me that the warranty would cover that part. For my effort all I got was someone who gave bad information to the insurance company who I have to fight with now and a BIG UP SALE! If does not take an engineer to know that the logic board does not fail with strain - that would be the motor. Now the only recourse I have is to fix it myself or hire another person at my own cost and hope Old Republic would agree to pay....good luck with that! If you have a choice to use another company than ZZ Garage ask, if you have a chance to choose another home warranty company besides Old Republic do it! read more

Horrible customer service. They give us an appoitment and didn't show up and they weren't flexible rescheduling despite it was their fault .
