The food was just okay nothing to rave about in my opinion BUT the service was so good we honestly didn't mind. We loved that they also had a winery just a short walk away. Went to this restaurant for brunch on Sunday but I may have had to high of expectations The hostess was very friendly and seated us right away, but I was not impressed with our server she was adequate. We both ordered the eggs Benedict and I was expecting something really special, but unfortunately, it was just average For some reason, the sauce tasted like it had a mayonnaise taste to It and was not a crisp flavor profile like I would've expected as I felt it needed more lemon. The Benedict was a tomato and buffalo mozzarella however, it did not come with any protein, no ham or bacon, which was quite a disappointment as it needed something else. The best part of the Benedict was the base the bread they used. The side salad was good though very plain and the dressing was delicious.. We had a reservation set for a group of 15 people at around 9AM. Because of their covid-19 guidelines, we were told we weren't able to sit next to each other but our tables would be close. They gave us 3 tables in one room and 1 table in another room. They left the middle tables empty in the room we had 3 tables in due to their "covid-19 guidelines" because they did not want people to sit too close to each other. However, when the restaurant started getting busy they started sitting customers in those empty tables. I thought those tables were supposed to be empty so that people didn't sit too close to each other? If they weren't going to follow their covid-19 guidelines why couldn't they just sit our whole family in one room? Wouldn't that be safer? If you are African American they will not welcome you whatsoever. They are racially biased and they definitely profiled me from the moment I checked in. My reservation was on 3/20/2025 my actual birthday. I walked into the resorts check in receptionists, by the time she completed my check-in she immediately asked me "so what's the occasion"??? Mind you I'm completely dressed from head to toe in sparkling attire, with a tiara on top of my head saying "Birthday girl"!!! Then continued to give me the fakest birthday compliments. Charged my card for the room for 2 days. Later that evening once arriving back to the resort, after checking in at 4pm, went back at 4am, all to get complaints from security saying we were talking too loud. Lovely facilities! My friend just had her wedding here - reception, ceremony and the hotel recommended to stay at. Since we were looking for convenience, we chose to stay a night here. Although the nightly rate was quite expensive, I felt like the services were well worth it. The room itself was amazing and kept very well! I was impressed with how modern the room was. The bathroom was also very lovely! The light mirror came in handy for getting ready! There's plenty of parking on the premises. I absolutely love this place. I wish I took more photos but I was too busy soaking up the ambience. Outside has the most fabulous luxury feeling. It's like a restaurant in a tropical garden you almost feel like you're on vacation. The food and desserts have always been amazing. The NorCal Halibut and the steak was killer. The homemade pasta with pork belly wasn't my favorite but there are plenty other food options that are incredible. Presentation has a high end look but with decent/ affordable prices. Service was exceptional, we were greeted professionally with warm smiles and great kindness. They also have a piano player if you sit inside with a small classy bar. I've held on to a gift card for about 2 years. I don't know why it took my so long to visit but I'm glad I'm finally did! Booking was easy as well as adjusting after. Every phone call the person on the other end was pleasant and very helpful. The day of my spa treatment i ended up at the hotel check in so beware of the signs. It's to the left of the hotel when entering the parking lot just drive around to the side! We checked into our appt time and were sent off to the locker rooms to change into our robes and slippers to prepare for the massage. The grounds are super relaxing and they are all about tranquility so leave those cell phones and electronics in the locker. My massage was amazing. She took the time to focus on areas that were mentioned and even doubled checked with me to ensure i didn't need any adjustments since I'm currently nursing. After the massage we changed into bathing suits to hang in the steam room then grab some granola and just enjoy the moments. This place is equipped for a moment to get away from your daily lists. Showers are available as well and the basic necessities such as shampoo, body wash, spray deodorant etc. i didn't notice but they always have a pretty cool clothes dryer so you are hauling around soaked clothes the rest of the day. We were 10 minutes early to our appt. We were greeted immediately by Isabella. Without telling her who we were, she checked us in by our names. It was very welcoming by doing so. She gave us each a locker number and gave us a tour. They provide you with a robe and sandals. I have small feet so it was nice that they asked for my size. You change and wait outside for your massage therapist. I had Ariana and she asked me if there were any specific areas I wanted her to focus on. (We had the couples wellness package $270 for 60 minutes) The bed was nice and so warm. I loved it. She did a full body massage -- from head to feet. No facial massages. I think she did a wonderful job. I felt her getting into the knots in my shoulders and back. The pressure was perfect for me. I think I preferred for the room to be a bit dimmer because it was bright. And there were some songs in the music selection that kept me up. After your massage you get to enjoy their amenities like the tranquility room, jacuzzi, and steam room for 2 hours after your massage. The bathrooms were spotless. They had showers with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I would bring a hairbrush next time. At the sinks there was mouthwash, lotion, deodorant spray, and q-tips. This used to be the flagship nice restaurant in Lodi. Although it is very nice and has a high end feel to it we were all a bit disappointed in the menu and food. They offered cap ribeyes the night we were there and couldn't tell much of a difference between them and the hanger steaks. Their drinks are just ok and bar is very small. When the manager stopped by and asked how things were we casually mentioned the ribeye and she said "well it says you ordered them so that's what you got" and walked away not to be seen again. Overall, it's just ok. We ended up going to Pietro's to have desert which turned into a second light dinner and drinks. We probably won't come back just simply because Lodi has a decent amount of other options available now with more coming in the future. read more

This review is for the Spa. Please read the whole review. How can a spa at a resort only offer massage services 3 days a week? And NOT even offer these services on weekends? I have bought gift certificates for the spa for my wife for years. I buy $250-$300 gift certificates for gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, stocking stuffers at Christmas, etc. I get these large denominations to cover ANY services that they offer - including the tip. Last year was the last time that I will ever buy a gift certificate for the spa. Do not get me wrong, the services that are provided are great - BUT - my wife cannot use the gift certificates at her convenience - due to the limited days/times that the services are offered. As a result of the Spa only offering massages on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday - we have multiple gift certificates sitting unused - she can't simply take a day off from work to go to a spa day midweek, then go pick up the kids (while I'm at work) - that isn't relaxing. Get some therapists who will work on a Saturday at least. - signed lost regular customer. P. S. I get that the website says "90 minutes only available on Tues/weds/Thurs" = 60 minutes might be available other days. When my wife started going here years ago this wasn't the case. I went there to check out a possible wedding venue. My mother is handicapped and in a motorized scooter. They were not accommodating to her whatsoever. The first step was to go UPSTAIRS to discuss budget and answer other questions. Something most girls dream of their mother being apart of. They did not have an elevator for her to get upstairs, nor would they have the conversation downstairs. As for the place for the bride to get ready on wedding day, that is also upstairs with no elevator. And the restroom for it is downstairs. Attended a wedding and decided we needed to come back to stay. It is such a pretty property, everyone was friendly and you do not feel like your in Lodi. We stayed on a Friday night- went to a local winery for lunch and wine then checked in- the rooms are spacious and felt clean. We had a pack n play in the room (hotel does not provide) and still had tons of walking room. We had a balcony that looked over a lot of greenery (not super private as you can see all of the other balconies in the building.) Then went to the lounge for a drink before going to dinner in their restaurant. In the morning, we enjoyed a grab and go breakfast at the onsite Cafe (one of the best hot chocolate I have had.) Next time we will have to enjoy the pool (steam was coming off the pool so it looked super warm and inviting, plus a hot tub) and we need to visit their spa. They had a tesla charger and a (regular) EV charger in site and plenty of parking. We had a relaxing time and will be back. read more

The quality of the room was nicely decorated and with quality construction. We could take relaxing walks throughout the grounds where the landscape was beautiful and well maintained. We saw their parrots which was entertaining especially the larger birds, especially one named "Rudy" . Yes the costs were a little more than what I typically spend for a dinner and hotel stay but being the high quality level of the resort / restaurant I left feeling happy and refreshed. They do weddings and we had some crazy bridesmaids upstairs laughing, shrieking and stomping ( it sounded like they were jumping up and down on the floor). Also, at one point it sounded like they were moving furniture. This went on after 10 pm and continued even after we called the desk. You may also hear the music from the weddings if you go to bed early. We heard the stomping upstairs resume around 6am and it woke us up, so not exactly the restful get away we expected. On the plus side, the rooms are lovely and the grounds are beautiful. The bar and restaurant are both very good. Service is lovely and the food is good. But we need quiet to sleep so this place isn't for us. Maybe you could bring earplugs if you don't mind sleeping with those. read more

It is hard to say if mediocrity mannerisms are due to someone having a hard day and i am the first to empathize with the next person, however when one is representing a company and getting paid on the clock, there is absolutely no reason for it to their customers. Regarding Wine and Roses hotel in Lodi, CA. I checked into a room 6/6/24 around 9:30 PM. I was told that the room I booked was above the restaurant and because I booked on a 3rd party app it could not be changed. In order to get to the room, you have to go through the restaurant and up and two flights of very narrow stairs. If the restaurant is closed, they give you a key to the restaurant to open the door then you can then go up the stairs. She also informed me that the restaurant would be dark so please note that if you go after the restaurant is closed, you're gonna walk through a dark restaurant that you are unfamiliar with, in the dark. Now let's get to the room. The room looks as if it was part of an old Antebellum home that had been renovated. The view outside the window is of the street and the cars going by. There are three rooms up the stairs, and it was very quiet to the point that I thought at one point I was up there alone. Also, the bed is in one part of the room then you have a shower and a sink and then there's a separate water closet toilet. The air conditioner is one of those old floor air conditioners that look as if it came out of a old Holiday Inn and it is super loud. Please note that if you are a silent sleeper and do not like noise, the air conditioner in room 9 is extremely loud to try to sleep. At no point did the air conditioner get cold enough that I felt comfortable in the room. Also, please know that the water takes a while to get hot. When I went to check out in the morning there was a different customer service rep at the front desk. I asked her about the abbreviations they have for the rooms and she said that they have no control of what's on third-party apps. She also pointed out that they had hired a company to manage their business on third part apps. When I pointed out that if they hired the company then they should be responsible for approving how their brand is presented. At any comment I made her response was ''I agree, you're right." I was not sure if she was or just being sarcastic. All I know is that she introduced herself as the coordinator of Weddings. Wine and Roses you have such a wonderful ambassador for your brand, and that is being sarcastic. The positive is that the ladies working in the restaurant were nice enough to show me to the stairs. These Antebellum rooms are not ADA compliant to get to. If you book incorrectly according to the night front desk person they cannot change it. So, please note that if you have any physical disabilities be careful of where you book. Having my last hotel stay at the Wynn in Vegas this was a total let down. Be forewarned read more

Took my friend as a bday gift. They called ahead to confirm, all good. We were looking forward to massages then hanging out at the hot tub and pool. When we arrived at the spa we were informed that the hot tub and pool were closed and, as they put it, we had the opportunity to use the hotel pool for free. We were disappointed as they should have informed us the pool was closed when they confirmed. My massage was actually very good. I think Jennifer was my massage therapist. We decided to head to the pool after the massage and were informed we'd have to check out of the spa to go to the pool and could only stay there for an hr. After some back and forth they agreed to allow us to keep our lockers at the spa. We had to walk in our robes and swimsuits pretty far and through a parking lot to get to the pool which wasn't nearly as spa like an experience as we were expecting. We could not find one thing to complain or dislike about this GEM! Yes, it's pricey, but worth every single penny! We regularly visit different wine regions, this is our first to Lodi, and it's BY FAR one of the most affordable high end properties. I'm sure that will eventually change upon Lodi's growth of popularity. If this Resort was in Napa Valley, their room rates would easily be doubled. We found the service to be top notch, the grounds are meticulously cared for and spotless. We sprung for a suite this trip and it was PERFECT! It exceeded all expectations. We had a bottom floor, end unit with 2 patio's leading out to their courtyards. It was the perfect location. We were completely surprised to find exotic birds throughout their gardens. What an added bonus of getting to stay with such beautiful birds. It's VERY obvious they are well cared for and loved! Some were especially loud in the morning hours, which I imagine may not be everyone's preference, but we found the birdsong to be soothing, and their presence really added to the ambiance of a tropical paradise. The market/cafe was quaint, lovely and offered a great delicious selection of foods. The spa & restaurant prices mirror those of the higher end facilities and are not "affordable" by any means, however, they BOTH far exceeded all our hopes! The spa is one of the best I have visited. I had a facial and body wrap and both services were totally relaxing and heavenly. Their tranquility and courtyard lounges are serene and the ambiance is that of a Tropic island resort! The locker rooms were roomy, immaculate and offered all the amenities one would need. The restaurant was all it boasted to be. We sampled a dish from every course and loved everything we ordered! The dishes were as delicious as they were beautifully presented. Our server, and other staff were all very friendly and attentive, even for being pretty busy.
