There was no microphone or PA system for wedding ceremony. You couldn't hear a word that was said-very disappointing. A guest at wedding had to go out and purchase tank of propane because heater wasn't working. These are both basic expectations to be part of the service at a wedding venue. The meal was supposed to be family style. Instead of placing all dishes on table so guests could enjoy properly, timely and pass amongst themselves, servers would bring one dish at a time and several minutes later servers would bring another dish....so you didn't have your entire meal available at same time. Now that life has settled down a bit I need to give love to where love is deserved...The memories this place has and will forever hold for us is incredible. I want to start off by saying getting married comes with so much work, head space and money. I downloaded so many wedding apps to help me in any way and our top priority was our venue. Where we want to leave memories that we can cherish and hold on to. We found this vineyard through a few wedding apps and felt it wasn't far for families to travel to but far enough to feel special. During our consultation we got to meet the AMAZING Alina who owns the vineyard. She introduced us to some delicious wines and got down to business of touring her venue and the scenery she has to offer. Within moments it felt like a dream. The warmth her vineyard offers with her family as the caretakers you can tell they pour themselves into what Grace Vineyard is. A place for people to come and relax and enjoy life. A place to create memories. The fact that her vineyard offers all inclusive as well was just the cherry on top! When I say she takes care of you I mean she takes care of you. We had children at our wedding which most people do not want to deal with the stress of baby sitting but with Alina not only did she offer fun jumbo grass games but she also offered a lifeguard on hand to make sure no little ones got into the pool. The worry of drama was out the door when she offered all night security as well! We also had a 9 person band and with constant communication we were able to have my husband have his wedding dream by having a live band! Her willingness to make sure that our wedding was everything we wanted and more I just couldn't have asked for a better day. My husband and I will forever love this place and keep a spot of them and Alina in our hearts. My daughter and her husband had their wedding a few weeks ago at Grace Vineyards in Galt. The experience and wedding itself were pure perfection! I must admit and my family will confirm that I can be picky. However, from the moment we saw Grace Vineyards for the first time, we knew we had found the perfect place for the wedding. Alina, the owner of the venue and wedding coordinator treated us not just as valued customers but as family members. Alina exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond over and over again. When my daughter started looking for the perfect venue, she left no stone unturned. She researched venues both inside and outside of the greater Sacramento area and visited several in person. When we first visited Grace Vineyards, it took our breath away. The venue was even more beautiful than the pictures on their website. The colonel mansion, the expansive lush green lawn, along with the grapevines were all the perfect frame around the backyard pool and pool house that also acts as a bar/beverage area. There was a separate intimate shaded area with a wrought iron gazebo where the ceremony took place and a large tented area for reception seating. Although it was a very warm day, the shade and tent provided all the comfort needed for the late afternoon wedding. I can't say enough positive things about Alina and her staff. They made everything look effortless but it was obvious that a lot of hard work and attention to detail went into making our dreams come to life. Alina's suggestions about the wedding and reception were spot on, and she told us the wedding would be magical. She did not disappoint. We also used a local bakery and florist that Alina had worked with before. They were just as professional and accommodating as Alina and helped make the wedding day beautiful and delicious. I could go on and on about all the things Alina and her staff did to make our day special. It wasn't just the obvious things as the location, wines, flowers, and dessert table. What I also particularly appreciated was the affordability of the venue, which included too many extras to list. Many of the other venues charged extra for what Alina included in her base price. She worked within our budget but still made sure the event was to our specifications and elegant. I visited Grace Vineyards during the Lodi Wine and Chocolate Festival. This was our first and most favorite stop. Not only were the grounds beautiful but the wine was delicious (love their petit sirah) and everyone there was so kind and welcoming. Their vineyard is quiet and serene with a beautiful pool in the middle. There are areas to taste in the shade and sun as well. My wife and I got married at Grace Vineyards last week and it was awesome! Steve and his crew were fantastic. They were professional, attentive, thoughtful. They made sure we had a wonderful evening! They were also great during the wedding planning portion. Grace Vineyards puts on events about once a month throughout the summer which allows you to try the food and get to know their staff prior to your wedding. My wife and I attended many of these and by the time our wedding came we considered their entire staff friends. A buffet dinner and their own wine is served and we received many complements on the food and the drinks, plus we loved it! They will also serve canned or bottled beer that you can purchase from some place like Costco which saved us a ton of money! We researched quite a few places for our wedding and are convinced that we made the right choice with Grace Vineyards. I got married on April 13, 2012 at Grace Vineyards. I searched high and low for a venue that was reasonably priced and had the aesthetic that we wanted for our wedding photos, and thanks to Yelp, we found it! I was so happy to find this place! As soon as I saw the website, I called and met Candice over the phone. We set a date to come out and look at the venue and honestly, as soon as we drove up, I knew this was THE one. Our wedding day had crazy weather--rain, hail, rainbows, beautiful sunset. It really ran the gamut. It also made for beautiful pictures! We were able to take some photos as the sun was setting over on the golf course side and they are amazing! We didn't originally plan to have the reception closed in in the tent, but the weather was so back and forth that we agreed to have the sides put down. Surprisingly, there was plenty of room! No one felt cramped. There was room for everyone to get around the tables, get the food, and dance without tripping over anyone else. Our guests ALL raved about the food--they said it's the best food they've ever had at a wedding! That was part of the reason we chose Grace Vineyards, actually. This is a conditional review, based only on the illegalities of the operation and the resulting serious consequences we experienced. I have informed Steve as soon as he is legally licensed, to contact me, and the review will be upgraded. Overall, a decent place for a spring or late autumn wedding. The one I attended was late afternoon in early fall and the outdoor temp was 96 degrees. The grounds were certainly lovely and the staff friendly. This was an all-in-one operation and the catering was the downfall. Any professional wedding planner knows to ask for allergies on the reply card; they did not. I have a child with life-threatening nut allergies. When going through the buffet line, I asked the servers if there were any nuts in the main dishes (the salad clearly had nut pieces, so we avoided that). I was assured there were none. My daughter herself asked as she went through the line, as was also told "no". Well, there were. As the anaphylactic reaction set in soon after, with clamminess, shaking, watering mouth and eyes, it became an all-out emergency. I went to talk to Steve, who was mortified and apologized, but who had NO ingredients list, as required in California by any vendor selling or serving food. This was crucial because my daughter is less allergic to some nuts, and highly allergic to others: we didn't know if we should head for a hospital or simply allow her to throw up. Also, with only two bathrooms for 80-90 people there, she was unable to gain access to one, and ended up vomiting out in the open, in front of other guests. Some thought she was drunk and she became the target of humiliating laughter. Oh, great. Fortunately there were physicians at this wedding, and after repeated vomiting, she was able to be stabilized with drugs administered on the spot. The following week, in text messages to Steve, I asked for his catering license number: he had none. He was unaware of the legal requirement by the Americans with Disabilities Act that ingredients lists were mandated... for now obvious reasons. His only accommodation was that if I were to drive to Lodi again, he would be willing to meet with me... I am an hour and 45 minutes away! I have reported him to the county Health Board so that others in the future would not have to experience such a situation. Apparently he had avoided all official scrutiny: the street address is "Galt", which is in Sacramento county; but the actual winery is located 1/4 mile outside of Sacramento county, in San Joaquin county. The health inspector of that county was completely unaware that there was the winery in his jurisdiction. Other aspects of the wedding: On such a hot day, the sweetheart table for the bride and groom was set on the west side of the tent, in full sun; the bride fainted. The large fans set up to help cool did help, but there were not staked down safely: during daylight hours the cord could be seen in the grass, but after dark it was not, and I saw one lady take a full on header in the grass. The wine was good; the dj was not a dj, but a guitarist. When it came time to have speeches and toast the bride and groom, there was no champaign available at our table. As the sun went down, the mosquitos came out and we had horrible bug bites the next day. But the big picture of any wedding is the people: in that regard it was a fine event, with a wonderful bride and groom (despite the 45 minute delay to get her back on her feet), happy attendees, and a life event enjoyed by all. I only wish Steve were professional enough to contact me regarding his current licensing situation. And although I assured him we are not suit-happy people ~ my only interest was in preventing something like this in the future ~ his last communication to me was that he was going to have to contact his attorney. This place was a mixed bag for me. The venue is beautiful and well-maintained. The open space worked perfectly for my sister's carnival-themed wedding, and I'm sure she got lots of beautiful photos from the variety of locations available on the grounds. It was also pretty easy to find, right off the freeway. Now I know Galt is not as far away as it sounds. But I feel like the venue could definitely improve some things to make the day a little easier on the guests. The ceremony location is not well shaded or seated. We were melting on a late, warm April day. It must be unbearable in the summer. My mom said she had to sit on the ground a couple times during the rehearsal because it was too hot and too long to stand in the heat. Additionally, I could barely see the bride and groom from my seat. Granted, I am short; but my husband is not, and he could barely see over the people in front of us due to the set up of the chairs. There are only two bathrooms for the guests. And they are next to the bar, so it gets chaotic in the small room between people waiting to get drinks and others waiting to relieve themselves of all that drink. Also, one toilet did not flush properly. My husband actually fixed the toilet while he was in there. The bar is too far away from the tables under the tent. I didn't even realize there was punch and soda inside the bar because it was always so crowded when I went in there. The staff clears the tables of all drink once the dancing starts. Nothing like working up a sweat swing dancing and then going to grab some ice water from the table to find every water pitcher and every glass is gone. The dance floor is also far away from the tent, so you can't sit at the tables to watch. To watch the first dances, you have to line up around the couple. As my brother commented, it felt like we were lining up for a ride. The dance floor itself is just a bad idea. It's brick, which is just not made for dancing. It's too crowded. And it's right by the pool. And yes, someone did get pushed into the pool (his cell sunk to the bottom), and many other people came very close to dancing right into it. The food was fine, but nothing special. Knowing how much it cost per person (the couple chose the BBQ buffet), I felt like the food should have knocked my socks off. And finally, the bugs! I get that bugs are probably a given at an outside wedding, but this seemed excessive -- bugs flying into the drinks, ants crawling on the table. Despite covering myself (twice) in bug repellent, I still got bit up by mosquitoes. You cannot leave your cake (or in my sister's case, the donut stand) out for display unless you don't mind bugs in your food. We were able to cover the donut stand in plastic wrap, but I'm not sure how you would protect a cake from the bugs without really taking away from the display of it. Overall, the wedding was one of the most entertaining I've attended, but I think that had less to do with the venue and more to do with the execution of the carnival theme. read more

This isn't going to be the best review to read if you are looking to get married here, as I was not the bride and don't know the exact details on what you get for what price. I was fortunate enough to be invited for the menu tasting by the future Mr.&Mrs. who got married here in August. We were able to try a small buffet of the dinner options as well as a tasting of their wine. All the things I tried were good, but my favorite was their blue cheese and walnut salad. Of course I loved the wine, I've never met a wine I didn't like. The day of the wedding we were able to try their Almond Champagne, which I really loved! The venue is very well manicured and taken care of. I really liked the ceramony area that was bordered in bushes and had a brick path for the wedding party to walk on. This I learned at a wedding I was in, is very important as heels get stuck in grass, and you really dont want to end up looking like a dweeb who looses her shoe walking down the aisle and then spending a second trying to pull it out. (Not that I would know what that's like... =/ ) At the end of the walk was a very beautiful alter which my friends were allowed to hang a beautiful chandelier from. It seems the owners of Grace Vineyards were very flexible in allowing certain changes to be made for the wedding. I remember the bride telling me that Grace Vineyards was very affordable and as far as I can remember, she said that the food, service, ceramony, reception and unlimited wine as well as the bridal party being able to get ready in the house was all included at a very good rate. My apologies for not remembering the exact figures as Im sure that would be very helpful. The wedding was beautiful and went on without a hitch. Everyone knows how crazy people can get during these huge events with stress and tensions running high, but everyone at Grace was so accommodating ad lovely. My husband and I recently had our wedding at Grace Vineyards on October 27, 2012. I stumbled upon it in a Google search and fell in love with everything just from the photos and positive reviews on their website. I had to see it in person and once we did, we knew it was the place where we would get married. Steve and Candice were a wonderful team to work with throughout the entire planning process. They were quick to respond to my e-mails and calls with any questions I had. They also had great suggestions if I was ever stumped on anything - Where the photo booth would work best, where we should place our "sweetheart table", etc. They are such great people! Prior to our wedding, we attended two vendor and wine events at Grace and we were able to try all of their food and wines. The food was delicious and the wine is fantastic! As we were going to each table at our wedding, the guests were very vocal about how much they loved the food and wine and how full they were from eating so much. The ceremony area is surrounded by lush greenery from the trees and vineyards so we didn't even need any decorations for the ceremony. That's how beautiful it is there! The property is full of areas for photos from the front of the brick house, the barn, the English garden to the vineyards. We were able to get several sunset photos in the vineyards... so stunning! Excellent service, food, wine and professionalism... everything was perfect on our special day. I was the Wedding Officiant and DJ for the wedding on 10/16/10 at Grace Vineyards. I had never been to the venue before and was excited from the minute I pulled up. The styling of the building is that of a southern plantation. Very different than the many victorian style venues that Sacramento hosts. The ceremony area was perfect for about 150 - 175 guests. The Tent area was well maintained and once they add the new cement pad it will be even nicer. The bar area is perfect for the gentlemen to get ready in with a flat screen TV. The brides room is quite large and looked very comfortable. The part that I was most concered with was the dancing area. The DJ and dancing area was right near the bar, always the best place for the DJ. Plenty of power for the equipment and lights. They were very flexible in letting us do things for our wedding that aren't often done, like have a cotton candy machine with a generator and have lawn games. The wedding day was amazing. They executed everything perfectly so the day ran so smooth. If there were any hiccups or issues, I didn't even know of them. There is a variety of places to get great photos--the vineyard, the barn, in front of the southern plantation house, etc. The grounds are really beautiful and require minimal décor. I love Grace Vineyards. We got married there in September of this year, and it was the perfect venue. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well kept. Steve, the owner, is very helpful and friendly. He even booked a tee time at the golf course that the venue backs up to for my husband. Everything was included; food, drinks, dishes, table cloths, chairs, ceremony area and reception area (including a nice pre-lit tent) which makes it easy on the bride. The scenary at Grace is so beautiful that we needed little decoration. The area is very open and is perfect for those who want a nice wedding without it feeling stuffy or like a huge production. It is simple, yet elegant. The only thing I can say is that Steve may take a while to respond in the beginning (he is much easier to get a hold of when it is closer to the wedding date). This is a great wedding venue. We had my daughter's wedding here on 10/13/13 and it was beautiful. Steve, the owner, is very accommodating and helpful. Worked with us on everything and allowed us to "make it our own". The food from Steve's catering company, Fresh and Quick, was delicious and the staff was great about helping us set things up exactly how we wanted. My daughter and I had a very specific vision and it all came to life at Grace. Our bartender was amazing and friendly and even helped us with cleanup after everyone left.
