Saturday, 3/21/2026 - We went to Jessie's Grove Winery for a friend's birthday. Address is 1973 W Turner Rd, Lodi, CA 95242. Upon arrival.... Pros 1) lots of parking. I had no issue. 2) there was a live band playing cool music. Saw people dancing. 3) games like corn hole and a few other small games. 4) Tables and chairs as well as a lawn to picnic. We reserved a table. There's a fan above us. 5) you can bring your own chair to sit. 6) there's 2 food trucks. 7) bathrooms and porter potties. 8) beautiful areas for photos. Looks like you can do weddings out here too. But you can call them to check. I didn't ask. 9) server was very nice. We had a few bottle of wines and a couple of charcuterie boards. 10) they did allow us to bring our own bday cake, plates and utensils to celebrate. Cons 1) no cons Conclusion I really liked this Winery. Love the live band and dancing. Staffs was nice. Bathroom was nice. Area is beautiful. Two foodctrucks to buy food from. Nice large areas. Having been a wine club member, we have visited quite a few times since my last review. The property has undergone a transformation over the years. Gone are the goats, chickens and horses I loved seeing so much. The intimate tasting room expanded like four times what it was and is updated with tables and seating for groups. They have also developed outside to accommodate patio seating, a perfect picnic setting. Overall, the property is more conducive to hosting private events. I believe they host live music concerts in the old barn. They are family and pet friendly. The folks inside were quick to put our wine club in order. Our membership was something like six pick ups a year. Yes, we could have opted for delivery but it was nice to drive out 2-3 times a year and come away with a case of wine. But we have slowed down on our drinking which is why we decided to end our club membership. Going to miss our drives out, especially in the Spring when it's not too warm. read more

Staff is very friendly. We stopped by about 17 years ago and had a lovely visit + tasting. My, how the place has grown since! Last weekend they allowed our friends to park their RV's here, so we swing by on a Saturday evening to visit. There was live music, just a couple of guys playing but they were great & kept the crowd engaged. The RV area is spacious & far enough away from the wineries activities to bring some solitude. The whole area is dog friendly. There are tables away from the main area to enjoy some wine, if your pup prefers to be left alone. They have an "IG" or social media area for photo ops. It was all done in a Valentine's theme when we were there. They have a pretty extensive list of wines. Our friends recommended the Royal Tee ancient vine zin, so we went with that and it was enjoyable. read more

I never thought I would give them only 2 starts but they have made some changes that I don't think they thought through. We went to the concert last night and were charged $10 each because we brought our lawn chairs to sit on the grass. It was hot so we bought 4 glasses of beer so total we spent about $90. Typically we would buy two bottles of wine and not have the entrance fee and spend about $90. They said they made the change because people were using their venue as a park and not buying anything, totally understandable. I think they should charge the $10 and give you a ticket or token, worth $10 so that you can purchase your wine, beer or snack snacks. But today that's not the case. I will check their website before thinking about coming back to see if they've made any changes. Bottom line, $90 for 4 beers and listening to a local band was not worth it for us. read more

First time at Jessie's Grove, and I found out about their Flower Festival through Instagram. Honestly, how had I never heard of this place before?! Tickets were $10 online, and the winery itself was super cute with a large, scenic property. DRINKS: (3.5/5) They had wine slushies available at different stations, ours was good, but pretty melted compared to others we saw that were more frozen and solid. We also bought a bottle of their Chardonnay. While my family and I usually enjoy white wines, this one missed the mark for us. It didn't go down smoothly and just wasn't enjoyable. FOOD (4/5): There were several food trucks to choose from, offering everything from Mexican to BBQ to coffee. I was so happy to see Lockeford Sausage, hadn't had one in ages and it was just as delicious as I remembered. FLOWERS (3/5) -- the main event! This was definitely the star of the festival. Flowers were scattered beautifully around the grounds. I started noticing people walking around with gorgeous bouquets and asked where they got them. That's when I learned there were three different flower options--not that anyone told us that upfront, unfortunately. For future visitors, here's a breakdown: 1. Bouquet Bar ($24) - Pre-cut flowers where you build your own bouquet by picking from several flower sections (greens, blooms, accents, etc.). 2. Pre-made Bouquets (~$24) - Already assembled, ready to go. 3. Cut-Your-Own ($15 for 20 stems) - These were a different type of flower (can't remember the name), but beautiful if you get there early. We did this near closing, and sadly most of the good flowers were gone. What was left were small, wilted, or colorless blooms, and they didn't look great. Plus, the flowers we picked didn't last 24 hours--even though they were placed in water. Super disappointing, so next time I'd skip this option unless I got there right when they opened. If you wanna do this, I would bring my own vase next time bc they put the flowers in a bag of water and we couldn't set down the bag anywhere to eat or anything, and it was heavy to hold too due to the water. TRAIN RIDE: (3/5) One fun surprise: the train ride was included in admission and open to all ages--which I appreciated, because let's be real, adults love train rides too! It's a short 5-minute loop around the property, and it was a cute experience. BUT the wait was long. We waited nearly an hour, thinking the line would move quickly--but between loading passengers (5 mins) and the ride itself (another 5 mins), the line barely moved. Definitely worth doing, but maybe try to catch it earlier in the day before the line builds up. SEATING & SET-UP: (4/5) We brought picnic blankets instead of chairs, thinking it'd be "too much." But seating was limited and most people brought folding chairs, which I'd recommend next time. IMPROVEMENTS: 1. The entry policy listed on their website was overly strict (like concert-level strict): no outside drinks, only one sealed water bottle per person, no reusable bottles unless empty, etc. I even questioned if I could bring ice in my Hydroflask. In reality? None of it was enforced. No bag checks, no questions, nothing. We ended up buying smaller water bottles and storing them in our trunk just to comply, only to find out no one cared or checked at all. We even saw a couple walk in without wristbands or tickets. If you're going to post strict rules, at least enforce them--or don't post them in the first place. 2. Their Instagram promoted a 5PM music event and said no reservations were needed. But when the festival ended around 4PM and we tried to sit down to enjoy the live music at one of the tables the staff told us the table was reserved, even though the people weren't there yet. When we asked at the hostess stand about getting a table, we were told they were fully booked. And the girl was very rude about it. Very confusing and not what was communicated online. Overall, the festival was fun, but I'd recommend arriving early to really take advantage of everything while it's fresh and available. There's a lot of potential here, but the lack of communication and poor organization took away from the experience a bit. read more

My first time at Jessie's Grove winery and it's such a vibe. It's energetic with the live music. Who doesn't like that? Family fun, bring your chairs and mat and sit on the lawn. There are tables and chairs, the bar is right in the middle and food trucks. The cherry wine slushie is a must and don't let that cherry flavor fool you! It's sooooo good, especially on a hot day. Some friends of ours are members here and invited us to hear an 80s cover band on Saturday. They were able to reserve a covered cabana for the evening, which had a long table with 8-10 chairs and table service. Outside food is allowed so we brought in our own charcuterie spread. Minimum wine purchase was 1 bottle per 2 people. Their wines are reasonably priced. We did a rose, 2 diferent whites, a zinfandel, a sparkling moscato, and a malbec. None of the wines stood out to me, except the moscato that was way too sweet for my taste. Since the tasting room was closed for the night, we basically did our own wine tasting, and all were passable with our charcuterie. They had food trucks and I think they also had pizza and snacks available for purchase. Our server was super nice and checked up on us a lot, but at some point she disappeared for awhile after someone in our party had ordered another bottle. That was the only issue with service, and she did apologize for forgetting about it or the lack of attention. The grounds are casual, spacious, and beautiful, definitely giving off country barnyard vibes without the barnyard smells. They were decorated for fall and had cute photo ops. I would definitely come here again to picnic and do an actual wine tasting. read more

This location is a hot spot/ venue in Lodi. They host concerts and other events here which I think is cool. The last time I was in Lodi, this space wasn't what it was when I visited last week. It was so beautiful and unrecognizable. The wines weren't great, but the service when we finally got served was good. We walked into their indoor tasting room and this brunette with long scraggly wavy hair waved over a party behind us although we had already stood there waiting 15 minutes. Sadly the chocolate barb pictured before was the best thing we consumed here. We ordered a red holiday/ white holiday tasting, but didn't leave with any wine. We weren't impressed by our tastings. We stayed with our friends here that are members of Jessie's Grove-the winery is in harvest host RV program. The grounds are beautiful. They have quite a garden, and we spoke to a gentleman who is part of the family. He was very nice and gave us some history of the Vineyard. Their wines are delicious and the grounds you can't beat, my only suggestion is they need to upgrade their bathrooms, but the rest was great. read more

Her service was stellar--she even took the time to let us taste before committing to a bottle and wine by the glass. She let us taste a few different options, which kept us coming back for more. We decided to come check this place out after our Costco run. We had all of our Costco items that we bought in the car but we figured why not LOL. I'm so glad we did. What a cute winery with a very laid back atmosphere. We didn't expect to actually wine taste but we figured why not! Lol Again, I'm so glad we did! They have such phenomenal dessert wines that we decided to become members--dessert wine club members! The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Elizabeth is who worked with us. She was so nice, knowledgeable about the wines and the estate, and just completely awesome! It's a beautiful ranch-style winery. Ladies, you don't have to worry about getting dolled up. It's a very laid back place. I absolutely love it! They even have a pretty garden area and I believe two green houses. They have a pretty good sized outdoor area where they have a stage for live music concerts. I'm excited and happy we decided to become members. Beautiful setting with kind and attentive employees. They even came outside with the next wines in my tasting and let me try a couple others I was interested in. Really enjoyed all their wines with the steel chardonnay and petite syrah being my favorites. I don't usually like an oak chardonnay but theirs is really nice! Went for their flower festival 6/14/25. There was a lot of vendors for fun shopping. There was also multiple food trucks to choose from. Adults $10 entries. Must get the wine slushies $10, they also have mimosas for $10. They sell wine by the glass and full bottles. There wasn't a lot of blooming flowers but there was multiple flower bars where you could build your own bouquet $24. There was a gandola ride, train ride, and entertainment blowing bubbles. I came to Jessie's Grove Winery for a private event...what an awesome place! Delicious wine and beautiful scenery. The weather was gorgeous, sitting outside in the fresh air under the trees. They had live music, and the performer was great! There's plenty of restrooms, including porta-potties. They were very clean. There was an indoor bar area, but I only visited the outdoor one. They even had a taco stand available! Parking was plentiful. I'd love to come back and spend another chill day here, enjoying a lovely surrounding, good food & wine, and some live music. Came here with a friend after I had heard great things from others about this winery. BEAUTIFUL and welcoming venue. All employees were incredibly friendly. My friend and I each got a glass and then went out under a large tent that had several large heaters. Being that it was February it was still rather chilly. A small band was just finishing their set when we arrived so we missed them but from what I understand, there are lots great concerts here in the summer in the grove. We recently cancelled our membership. Loved supporting Greg and the family winery. It's gone sideways on the hospitality side. While the grounds have improved with a large influx of $$, there is now a certain air of snarkiness. While we have enjoyed the chill atmosphere - even with the high price of what we'd consider medium quality wines - the staff act like they own the place. They don't. We hope Greg and the guys there with the $$ can take a step back and assess the staffing. It's not that much fun anymore. One day we're treated nice (false smile?)...the next time we're treated like we just got off the bus. So yeah - we did get off the bus. Oh - we wanted to fill our Crowler and asked to taste the white. The guy behind the counter did not know which one was the white. We attended Jesse's Grove today on mother's Day. We went through the checkpoint and all is good. Some attendees needed to pour out various liquids at the gate or return them to their vehicle. Once we got located near the wooden fence near the in the Field parking we noticed that attendees were just walking through an open gate at that fence area without being checked in in any manner. They were bringing in folding tables, closed ice chests, packages of food, bottles of alcoholic beverage, all of which they are prohibited to bring in. There was an obvious double standard taking place. Some members and guests doing what they are supposed to do, and unfortunately a majority of attendees doing anything they wish to do. Because of this experience I would not recommend anyone to join or attend anything at this venue. read more

My husband and I were driving through Lodi and decided to stop by here - first time! We came in for a tasting and left as new wine club members, haha. The lovely Sophia poured for us and she was just so welcoming and personable. She told us all about the wines and the property. We really enjoyed our time here and the wines were also delicious. The property is also beautiful! We left with three bottles (Steel Chardonnay, Malbec, and one of the Rosés) and look forward to our first quarterly wine club shipment. read more

We became aware of this winery through Harvest Hosts, and we are soooo glad we did! We were looking for a place to stop on our roadtrip from Napa to Fresno, and Jessie's Grove will now be one of our regular stops. The grounds are beautiful, the service is fabulous and the wine is delicious and AFFORDABLE. As the tasting room closed, instead of being kicked out, we were invited to move outside to keep enjoying our bottle and the atmosphere. Seated outside, we were joined by the owner/winemaker, Greg. We truly enjoyed our talk with him. He shared so much knowledge and experience about wines and wine tasting. We were also amused by the watchful guard cats that kept a close eye on us as we strolled the tranquil and beautiful grounds. Because of the friendly service and the casual atmosphere, our time at the Grove felt less like we were visiting a business and more like we were visiting a friend's house (if our friend had a gorgeous backyard.) And I did mention how tasty the wine was right? And we were coming from Napa, where wine costs four times more and isn't nearly as enjoyable. My husband and I visited the tasting room at Jessie's Grove. We were served by Elizabeth and she was kind, insightful, engaging and knowledgeable. It was a quick visit as we had plans but worth it! The grounds are beautiful with a rustic barn on property...I love the country vibe. We have been a few times and Elizabeth always remembers us! She is perfect for hosting the wine bar. PSA! We were at a Kat Country sponsored concert tonight, which is SO different from Jessie's Grove on a regular wine tasting or local concert. Either way, Jessie's Grove has improved so much based on their feedback. The portable restrooms were so freaking clean. They were sanitizing after every use and approving whether you could use it. Wow! The lines for alcohol were moved to outside, rather than the barn so there is a breeze and it's tolerable to wait for a drink. The drink lines are shorter and way more efficient. Cashless venue makes it feel so safe. RIDE SHARE IS A HUGE ISSUE AT THIS VENUE. That's all you need to fix and this venue is perf!!! By ride share, I mean making sure your exact address is registered with uber/lyft/googlemaps, and that there is a ride share route/lane/direct after busy events. Tonight, the well- intentioned traffic guy insisted we sit on their golf cart while we waited for an uber. Another couple was waiting and they started to move a picnic table over for people to wait on comfortably. So well intentioned!!! But we left super early. I can't imagine how crazy it got after the concert was over. I love this place and I love how they listen to their patrons! read more

Very few spots open for the 4th of July and so glad we visited. First time and they have great wines! We enjoyed every one we tried and purchased two bottles of the Chardonnay's, steel and oak. We also purchased a charcuterie board and I had the firecracker drink which was a popsicle in a glass of sparkled wine....yum! They have beer on tap along with other bottle selections. It was hot and they had their inside tasting room very cold so it was very nice! They also had Ditto the cat visiting tables and she really likes cheese!
