For food, we ordered 2 dozen oysters and a pepperoni pizza with added jalapeños. We specifically mentioned NO pineapple due to my partner's allergy. After finishing our oysters, our pizza was finally ready... and guess what? It had pineapple on it. Thankfully, we checked before taking it back to our area. The staff remade it correctly, and about 30 minutes later we got the jalapeño pizza we originally ordered. It was absolutely delicious! One more little hiccup: after opening my tab, the staff member forgot to return my ID. I didn't realize it until I was already back in Elk Grove, so I had to make the trip back to pick it up. I found this place through a map for the different Lodi Wineries after visiting another winery before coming here. I was excited because the photos looked gorgeous! I had to ask the owner/manager + another worker to get my receipt because I believed the charge was wrong. The lady was kind about it and promptly fixed the charge and had to redo my order. There was a sign that gave us a free flight of wine for posting on IG. That's what I did and the flight was not that great. The wine tasted very cheap and the quality was lacking. My friends and I came here on a Saturday afternoon, it was nice and empty. Service was great. We walked around the winery and explored their set up. I love that they had a lot of different props for pics, including a truck, a swing, and beautiful stairways. The wine wasn't just dry red wine, but they also had wine slushes for the younger generation. Their pizza and cheese sticks were pretty good for the price. Had lots of flavor and fed all 3 of us. I finally got to visit Viaggio after hearing about it for over two years. Haha. I am newer to the Lodi area, and had often heard people raving about Viaggio, yet I never gave them a try. Well I finally made it in and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Our driver recommended their kitchen and wine pairings, so we said, what the heck and let him bring us here. It was beautiful and because it was getting later it wasn't packed in like other wineries we previously visited. We approached the bar and tasting area and happy that Jenn took care of us. She was warm and welcoming and explained to us they pour all their tastings in a shot tray so they can serve more guests when they're busy and we are able to take it anywhere on property. Since it started raining, we really didn't get a sunset, but their patio was beautiful enough. Both Jen and her coworker got the fire pit going for us and a two heaters around us outside. We enjoyed our tasting and our veggie pizza and panini. If you come here, do order pizza. We placed another order to-go so we didn't have to go downtown for a later dinner if we got hungry. We wanted to have our driver take us back to our room and let him go home for the night. I found some fun gifts to bring back home. All in all was a nice ending to fun wine date with my love. Was curious about this spot as it popped up on the map heading home. Walking from the parking lot, it was hard to find the actual tasting room. My friend and I accidentally ended up crashing someone's wedding. Maybe better signage would help? The tasting room is quite large and reminded me of a Mexican restaurant. Dark wood abounds and there are tables to sit. I ordered a tasting, I can't recall the price but it was less than $20. Honestly, I did not care for the wines. The garden themed outdoor seating area is very pleasant, much more ambiance than indoors. We ended up ordering their brick oven pizza which thankfully was much better than the wine. read more

Well, when I got here before my family arrived, I received really bad service from the guy who I heard later may be a partial owner. He was not knowledgeable on wine and treated me like I didn't know wine as well. When I walked up to order, he walked away. When I asked for recommendations or advice on how to drink the flight, he said "however you want" which is very different than how I experienced wineries in the past. When my family arrived and I asked questions, he ignored me. I eventually asked to only speak with the woman who was also behind the counter because she actually knew wine and was more personable. Overall the winery is aesthetic and eventually they did service my large family but it was a rough start. Came in on Thanksgiving! First time ever! The grounds were beautiful even with the dark clouds and fog. It was beautifully decorated with Christmas decor inside and out! There were 2 other couples here enjoying the holidays as well. The food delicious and so was their wines. We understand that it was a holiday; however, it would have been nice if someone spoke to us about the flight of wines we were tasting. Also, it was a bit different seeing the wine in plastic cups. Viaggio Winery, nestled in the heart of Lodi wine country is distinguished by its vast vineyard, which runs along the pristine Mokelumne River. Our decision to celebrate New Year's at Viaggio proved to be a huge success because the experience/service that we received was exceptional. As members, we appreciated the discounted ticket rates of $115 per person, which included unlimited food (steak, chicken, pasta, salad, and hord'oeuvres), unlimited drinks (beer, wine, and premium hard liquor), 360 Photo Booth, regular Photo Booth, and many more attractions. The staff service was superb, specifically, Fahad, who went over and beyond to accommodate our group and provided excellent hospitality. We had a last minute request, which was handled flawlessly by him. There was absolutely no issue that was not addressed timely including satisfactory results. The check-in time for the event was at 6 PM, and the cocktail hour commenced promptly at 7 PM followed by dinner at 8 PM. The food and beverage quality and presentation were outstanding. The banquet staff was extremely attentive to every detail and very professional. The bartender was fast and extremely courteous. I was merrily impressed by the hard liquor selection, including Grey Goose, Glenfiddich, Patron Silver, and Jameson. They even served Modelo and 805 Beer . Overall the event went great and everyone's palette was satisfied with the AMAZING food and premium cocktails. After dinner, we were intrigued by an unexpected performance. The event had a fantastic surprise element with a belly dancer that had everyone captivated and added greatly to the entertainment. The 360 Photo Booth was another successful attraction of the event; even the gentleman was having fun with it. Let's not forget the DJ, who absolutely killed it. The vibe was immaculate, all thanks to the DJ's selection from start to finish. The dance floor was packed all night. Last but not least, a noteworthy recognition goes to Fahad, who was attention to detail, extremely professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to his guests. It was a half shot. When I went through the flight, everything was room temperature and that was for sure not sampling size... so what did I really pay for? A little shot. Could I easily have purchased a bottle? Absolutely! But this was a first time here and so I wanted to try a few different ones first. Wine slushies are okay.. Service was great. If you order food at the barn, make sure you don't set up shop too far because you're going to have to pick it up at the barn which is at the front. I still can't get over my wine shots. read more

We visited this winery as a group of six expecting a relaxing evening, and ended up spending around $400 on wine and food. Unfortunately, the experience was completely ruined by how we were treated. There was a Bollywood cultural event happening, and we simply tried to take a quick look inside. The owner was extremely rude, and the staff's behavior was unprofessional and disrespectful. As a group of working professionals, we understand basic etiquette and always treat staff with respect--so this was really disappointing. Hospitality goes both ways, and this place failed badly on that front. Sadly, I would not recommend this winery. What should have been a fun night turned into a very unpleasant experience. read more

After being wine club members for 5 years, we cancelled our membership. When we initially signed up, our membership included 4 complimentary tastings, whenever we wanted, and we could come daily too! (not that we did, but you could). This nice membership perk allowed us to visit and bring family and friends whenever we wanted, as many times as we wanted. Then they changed their membership rules to become very strict on the tastings, like if you were a member for 4 years or less, you could only do 2 tastings, PER MONTH...and then if you were a member for 5 to whatever years, you got 4 tastings/month, and so on....it just seemed super stingy. I don't kow what led them to this decision in cutting back on tastings. There were other things amongst these rules that didn't sit well with us that led us to cancel our membership. Also, this place used to be really nice when we became wine club members, but over time has become like a community park and people use it as a place to camp out all day, let their kids run wild and unsupervised like we're at chuck E cheese. I've seen kids run past us as we're carrying our flights to our table, playing in the fountain, splashing...while the parents think it's cute. it's not. People roll in their coolers, bring in their own outside food (I saw a girl once with a Dominos box), even though they have signs that say no outside food is not permitted. But they don't enforce the rules, excessively large and loud groups gather. Also, they took away their nice Viaggio wine glasses, that said "Viaggio" on them, and switched to a plain chunky wine glass. I asked why they switched and was told b/c people were STEALING the nice glasses. smh. While the grounds are beautiful, the ambiance has become a bit too tacky for my taste. read more

I've always been against bad reviews but today was one of the worst experiences I've had. The security at the front was not welcoming at all, on the contrary; he was very hostile. For what ever reason he had an attitude with my wife when she curiously asked as to why camera's aren't allowed. And to top it off I overheard him tell a staff member to keep an eye on us as if we were there to stir up some trouble. By far the worst experience. We spent a week in Lodi and visited 16 wineries, large and small. This is the only winery that charged us upfront for our tastings gave us the wine and then never checked on us again. The staff needs to be trained in customer service as they are throwing away money by not servicing their customers. Visited 12/6/25: It was my first time here, there was 4 of us. Right from the parking lot all of us were admiring the property. Loved the Christmas decor and really loved the space and even talked about coming during next summer. We each had tastings, wine was 3/5. We also ordered pizza which was fast very fast 3/5. But everything changed when we brought out our camera. Old school film camera too not even a professional camera. Lady that had served our tastings came to us and said " you can't have cameras here unless it's your phone. You may be charged $100". NO JOKE THIS WAS FOR REAL. I have been to MANY WINERIES all over not once in my life have I ever heard of this. We were not bloggers we just took picture of our wine/ourselves/the outdoors nothing fancy. She said it was a rule by the owners. We definitely won't be back. So if you plan on celebrating your birthday/anniversary or any special day and you happen to have a camera just be aware you may be charge $100. Came here with my hubby to celebrate our anniversary. The properly is big and beautiful and you get to walk around. There was live music that day and dancing so there was a nice vibe going. Service was nice and wine is good not great. I also don't like that they do the tasting in plastic sample cups, just takes away from the experience. After changing owners this place went downhill the servers are rude and not welcoming gonna cancel my membership and take my money elsewhere

My biggest frustration was being told, upon arrival, that if I were "caught" using my personal camera for non-phone photos, I would be required to pay a $100 fee. This policy is completely antithetical to the experience of visiting a beautiful estate and celebrating a day out. It made me feel like I was being watched and immediately put a damper on the atmosphere, making it impossible to capture memories freely. During our wine tasting and meal, we were largely left to our own devices. No one came around to check up on us, ask how the wine was, or see if we needed anything else after the initial order. This felt like a significant lack of hospitality for a destination winery. The setting is lovely, but the execution of the tasting itself was poor. Our wine samples were poured into small, disposable plastic sample cups. Despite the significant service and policy shortcomings, I must give credit where it is due: the food was outstanding! The kitchen staff clearly puts passion into their work. Every dish we ordered was fresh, expertly prepared, and bursting with flavor. The quality of the cuisine truly made up for the lack of attentiveness from the service staff. If you are going solely for a high-quality meal, go! But if you're looking for a warm, welcoming wine tasting experience where you can capture memories without fear of a fine, you may want to look elsewhere. read more

I reached out to inquire about hosting my engagement party and was disappointed with the interaction I had. Just plain ole Rude !! I don't know if he was a possible owner / manager.. but just Rude . There was close to 20 of us .. took over a hour for us to completely come in and order , some of us where late ... when ever some one new would join the table they had a story about how Rude he was . I've seen this beautiful place all over my social media and someone I know who has been there before said it was a good choice. I had high hopes walking in and was very excited. The GPS to get there can be kind of confusing but they have plenty of signage to help you find the place. Once we walked in I was immediately blown away by how pretty it was and I got some great photos. We were immediately greeted upon walking in but it was FREEZING inside. It was so cold that the white wines were literally frozen, I had never seen that before. I asked a question about the red wines to which the lash helping us responded in a rude way and like I should have known the answer which I was really turned off by. We decided to try the traditional flight which came with a total of 6 tastings for $20. I was a bit surprised to see that all 6 were poured into small plastic glasses in a flight and we were given wine glasses and sent on our way. I was a little let down that we didn't get someone to pour each for us and give us a little history about each one. We decided to sit outside in the sun and for the whole hour and 15 minutes we were there, no one came out, not once, to see how we were doing. The wine was good and so was the food but we had 2 people help a new worker who would get a pass order us a burger for my diabetic grandma. They took forever as I ordered my pizza probably 10 minutes after my sister ordered the burger for my grandma and I got my food first, I proceeded to go up and ask when their order would be ready and they said in a few minutes, ten minutes later they buzzed us that the food was ready so my grandma went to take her shot they proceeded to tell us they don't serve burgers on saturdays but we paid for it and multiple people let us. At this point they could have killed my grandma but luckily I saved some of my food because something felt off. We had their Pinot Gris and Chardonnay and also tried their slushy drinks but they were just okay! Would go back just for their garlic bread though. Viaggio is where it's at!! I'm not much of a drinker or a winery person but I absolutely loved this place. This place is beautiful, the entrance is very upscale and welcoming and they still had plenty of their Christmas decorations on display. The day of our visit it was a bit chilly and overcast and we initially were going to sit inside (not many people inside) but we saw that the fire pit on the patio was available so we sat there. Having the fire pit going was the start of an amazing time, the outside patio was packed with tons of people having a great time on a Friday afternoon. My dad told me the pizza was really good so we ordered one and to be honest it was one of the better pizzas that I've had in a while. The pizza oven is located on the patio so you can see that they take pride in providing a great homemade pizza in a nice brick oven. The wine tastings were good and the price was very reasonable. I would love to come closer to when it gets dark as they have string lights on the patio and I'm sure they probably have music playing or a band. I did notice that Thursdays in January they have Salsa Night and I wouldn't mind coming for that. Aside from the inside and the outdoor patio they also have a huge area in the back with a lawn and chairs to sit at, a wedding/event venue, wine trolley and more.
