Our ice maker suddenly stopped making ice and the fridge wasn't cooling properly, so we reached out for service and they were able to come out the very next day. I scheduled an estimate through Whirlpool knowing that it was out of warranty but I had a secondary extended warranty through Amex. The issue was not with the service/estimate call which was handled by Joel. He was polite and even though it only took him about 15 minutes for the diagnostic. He said the parts were on backorder. The service call was $139.95 which he wrote on my warranty paperwork that service call will apply towards repair. Ultimately, the estimated repairs, labor, plus parts and tax was $353.28. When I called today, I was told that the service call does not apply towards the repair. When I told her what Joel wrote down on my warranty claim, they said that is not the case and I could talk to Joel about it. Two things, either, the receptionist has no idea or Joel was misleading. Why would I pay for a service/diagnostic fee that could not be used towards repairs. That runs counter to most repair companies business model. ***DO NOT USE THEM***. You will spend money unnecessarily for trip/diagnostic that cannot be applied to repairs. read more

I take it back. Initially when the technician came out he was great but when my washer broke again after 2 washes and he had to come back 9 days later, he wasn't. I had to wait for a "part". When he came back my washer started "working" like I was making it up that my washer was stopping mid cycle. He left after watching it start and wash for 2 minutes looking annoyed. I Added a load and it stopped mid wash again. Now I'm waiting again for another "part". If he actually took the time and looked inside the washer, he probably could've seen what was wrong and that I wasn't lying. Now I get to be without a washer again. Going on 2 weeks. If I could give this company a zero I would. I had a technician come out to check my washer and dryer. I had warranty still covered with Costco. Sad and disappointing to say the technician that came out cause property damage to my home. A BRAND NEW HOME BUILT FROM BOTTOM UP . Haven't been a year and he has all these excuses . CIPRANO is his name. He was called to check out my washer and told us there was an error reading on my washer so he had to order a part to replace it. Came around the second time to replace what needed to be replaced. I heard slamming in my wash room , ran up stairs to see what's going on, CIPRANO was having a hard time lifting up my washer machine. I asked if he needed help he said no. Ended up breaking my drainage pan. Then to tell me that I need to be the one to replace it it's 17.00 when he was responsible breaking the drainage pan. Called the company to file a complain. Dispatch lady said it's wear and tear and that I should again be the one to replace it. Checked to see how much the drainage pan is and it's showing 94.00 at homedepot. So I said nope I didn't damage the drainage pan so I shouldn't be the one to replace it. CIPRANO ended up taking the responsibility to replace it . But bought a pan that didn't have any hole in the middle to fit my washer. So my husband had to help him do his job by cutting the hole in the middle and install the drainage. So after that was taking care of. CIPRANO decided to shove my washing machine against the wall. And created scratch and dent to my wall. Almost seem like he was trying to find a way to get back to us because he had to replace the drainage pan. So not only did he break the drainage pan but also caused damage on my wall. Who knows my washer probably have more issue because of how it got treated. Called and spoke to management their solution was he did the right thing. I called to get my washer fix . I didnt call for them to cause more damage than what I asked for. So if you want this company to come check out your appliances , I suggest you call another trusted company. I wish I could give zero stars. My experience with Cipriano from 1-800 Appliance has been an absolute disaster that turned my partially functional Maytag washer into a completely useless machine. Timeline of Destruction: * Before Any Repairs: My Maytag washer was shaking violently during certain loads, but it still worked--I could still wash clothes. * Visit 1: Cipriano replaced the gear case and wash plate. After this, the washer stopped working entirely. A load would fill with water, immediately display "Load Finished," and do nothing. No washing, no spinning--nothing. * Visit 2: Cipriano replaced the clutch--still no improvement. The washer remained completely useless. * Visit 3: He replaced the main control board and harness wire. This caused a brand-new electrical issue--now the control knob doesn't respond properly, and the washer cannot start a single load. From Partially Functional to Completely Broken: Before Cipriano touched it, my washer could at least wash clothes, even with the shaking. After his first "repair," it became a useless piece of metal. His guesswork and reckless part replacements only made things worse. No Accountability from 1-800 Appliance: When I called the company to report that Cipriano had ruined my washer, his supervisor Anthony was nothing but defensive. Instead of taking responsibility, Anthony deflected blame and told me to contact Maytag directly--refusing to admit that his technician destroyed my washer. I was promised a senior technician and an engineer would oversee these repairs, but instead, I got Cipriano--an unqualified tech whose incompetence made my washer completely unusable. Avoid Cipriano, Anthony, and 1-800 Appliance at all costs. They don't fix problems--they create them, and they refuse to take responsibility. Thanks a whole lot for breaking my brand new Maytag washer, Cipriano. Also one more thing. I took off of work one day for Cipriano to fulfill his tech visit #3, and he was "sick", so he cancelled on me. It's one thing to break my appliance, and it's another to mess with my time and money. I had my whirlpool dishwasher serviced by this company. The technician Adam was horribly rude and could care less to explain what he did to fix the problem and couldn't be bothered to answer my question. I had asked what we should do to avoid having this problem again and he responded with "take good care of it". He left and said nothing further. By far the most scammy company I have ever had to deal with. I had a washing machine that started leaking so the HOA called this company. The technician had horrible communication with me, rescheduled me multiple times and kept missing the time he said he was going to arrive. Had to call 4 times to even get an eta. Every call just links me to an office associate that has no idea whats going on. This is when it gets bad. They tell me I need to put a card on file to have the technician show up. After waiting 6h for the technician to arrive (i had to leave already so i left the door open for him) he stays there for about 5-10 min and lets me know the "pressure control board is broken" he quotes me $500 and at least a week to fix. The machine only costs $400.. i tell him ill politely decline since i needed this done asap. Then i get a charge for $140 on my credit card without my permission. No invoice, no receipt, no information on why i was charged. Then i talk to my friend who's also a handyman and he tells me 100% it's not the pressure control board and he was able to fix it for $180. This company is an absolute scam. Listen to the reviews. Fix the wrong parts, and refuse to come to fix the appliance. I have worked with a guy named Juan (he was absolutely the worst). He was rude, unprofessional, and not helpful. He moved Mutiple things to pull the refrigerator back, and didn't event put items back. I called for the front desk and the woman (Julia) was unable to provide any solutions or critically think about a solution. I have also reached out to Costco and Whirlpool to let them know about this place and that they should no longer use them as a contracted appliance fixer.
