Call 1-800 got junk for the first time received an estimate ranging $125 up to $625 depending on how much you fill the truck. Received a quote of $600,which I thought that was too expensive for what we were disposing. One of the crew members asked if we had a budget. I was expecting no more than $250. He called his manager and came back with a quote $400, which I felt was still too expensive. I was told this would be considered a full load (Not true). My husband and I loaded our 5x7 trailer and and put a few bags in the SUV and took the items to goodwill. We did this in less than two hours. If you have the ability do it yourself or at least shop around. One good point, the crew showed great professionalism and offered a coupon if we ever wanted to use the service again. read more

The good thing is once they did arrive the loaded up the truck quickly. I only had two chairs, a mattress set, and a disassembled bookcase. $238 dollars seems like a lot to remove junk that took less than 5 minutes to load in their truck. Noah and Jephte came to our home the next day and within the hour our garage was cleared. They were both polite, knowledgeable, and very courteous. We booked a 3:30 - 5:30PM window for the trash collection service a week in advance. We called them around 4pm and they said they'd be there at 5. Called again at 5 and said they were running late and told us to wait till 6pm. Come 6pm, still no one arrived. We called them and only then did they inform us that they had no space left in their truck. This was terrible for us because we needed the house completely empty as we were moving across the country the next day. They also waited last minute to tell us so it was nearly impossible to find another trash collection service at that time. Luckily, we were able to find a small business that agreed to do after hours pickup for $450 for a truckload. We were told that 1-800-GOT-JUNK would have charged us $600+ for the same load. I have used this company several times. Used to be reasonable. Had branches that were cut to 6-7ft and under in several piles. I figured if 113 was the minimum it might cost 200 dollars. 3 people showed (always had 2 before so that has to cost more, right?) we were told (my neighbor and me) that it was going to cost 465 dollars. What? She can't afford it so I showed them my 3 piles which amounted to a foot, foot and a half tall once it was loaded. Initially quoted me over 200. Told him nope. They came down to 197. Told them to do it. I also asked so how many branches would it take for the minimum of 113? He wasn't sure because usually branches ampit to more than that. I had them lick up a whole truck Load of 2x4s that were in a pallet configuration. 165. I'll never use them again. The absolute worst company to deal with. They don't understand booking appointments and they never stick to them. I booked an appointment Friday 2/4/22 online On Tuesday from 1:30-3:30. They called me at 3 pm to let me know they couldn't make it and I needed to reschedule for Saturday. I ASKED THEM WHAT TIME SLOTS WERE OPEN and I scheduled Saturday at 4:30. I got a call at 4 Saturday with THEM TELLING ME THEY CLOSE EARLY ON SATURDAY AND I CAN RESCHEDULE SUNDAY. I TOLD THEM SUNDAY AT 1:30 is the best time for me and THEY CONFIRMED THE APPOINTMENT. It's now Sunday and no call or anything. I called them and they told me THEY WILL TRY TO SQUEEZE ME IN AFTER I ALREADY CONFIRMED PICK UP THE DAY BEFORE AT 1:30. THEY ALSO SAID WHEN IM RESCHEDULING, I HAVE TO CALL A DIFFERENT NUMBER TO HAVE IT CONFIRMED, WHICH JS DUMB BECAUSE THE PERSON I SPOKE TOO WAS THE RESCHEDULING DISPATCHER. It's now 2 pm and nothing. They called me last minute, actually 45 minutes into to time block and cancelled due to "we are running behind and have an issue with the truck that was headed in your direction." The workers were very nice and they did a good job. Before my appointment I was never told what the prices would be. The workers explain the charges before they started the work. Although a good job was done I'm not sure if I would use them in the future they are very expensive. I was charged $250 for about half a dump truck worth of cardboard boxes mostly. This was my first time using Got Junk and when I originally spoke with someone I told them my stuff I needed removed and they gave me a rough estimate of $155 but when they got here the quote was for $370 to $400 which is a huge jump. They were nice but the company really should have more of a better charging system in place as $200+ more is a lot and to be honest I think $370+ is a lot for what I had. looking at some of the reviews the pricing is a big concern and probably should be looked into for better customer service. I would like to give 0 stars but that's no option. This place is a ripoff. First, the quote over the phone was ridiculously under priced. Was told $125-350 depending on how much of the truck was used. We paid $650. The quote failed to mention that each item was an additional charge. Mattress- $50-75 tv 50-100.. everything was extra. Should also mention, the crew were rude, unprofessional and acted upset that I didn't know everything was priced separately. Lastly, there were 2 trucks. Why? It seemed very deceiving. And the crew determines how much of the truck you use- but it's 2 trucks?!? It doesn't make sense. We still have junk because we would have ended up paying over $1k. I tried to resolve the 'misunderstanding' with customer service, as much as they agreed something was wrong with our situation, they differed and told us we would be hearing from local team member. Never heard another word. No wonder the BBB won't give them their accreditation. read more
