We've used these guys a few times and have always had great experiences. They're excellent at providing a small arrival window so you don't have to spend a huge chunk of your day waiting around the house for someone to show up. In fact, they're usually able to narrow their arrival time down to one hour. If you get on their email list, they offer deals quite often and you receive $10 off when you book a same day appointment. Which leads to another plus: availability. I have always been able to book the day and time I wanted - even at very short notice. If you've never used a junk removal service before, be prepared for sticker shock. It's expensive. Just keep in mind how much time and hard labor it would take to do yourself. For our family the thought of that always outweighs the price - especially when you consider how quick and easy these guys make the whole process. You'd be amazed by how much these guys can quietly load up into their truck within 15 minutes. The employees I've always dealt with have been clean, friendly, professional, and super strong. They hauled a huge, solid wood dresser down from our third floor once and didn't even flinch. Scheduled a 4-6pm pick up at our daycare center. They called to confirm the time like the customer service person said they would, and they were nice and understanding about us needing them to come between 4:30 and 5:30pm, when our students are out of the building but we still have staff. Chris and another young man (sorry I forgot his name!) came and they were SUPER friendly! They really helped us out with the pricing as we are a non-profit and our budget is very tight/non-existent. Most of our items were toddler sized couches, tables, and random items our teachers didn't need. It filled up almost 3/4 of their truck and they only took 30-45 min to clear everything from our messy basement with just the 2 of them. I even added a few things and all they asked was that we leave a good review in return for the things I added. So here ya go, boys! They were even willing to help us move big furniture from one office down into our basement for an extra $20. Needless to say, they were pretty awesome. Awesome, quick and impressive! I needed some junk removed so I called 1-800-got-Junk to get an estimate. The receptionist was great. We set up a date and time (7 pm - 9 pm) for the movers to come by to give me the estimate for all the junk. Altravius, one of the movers called to let me know they were on there way. I appreciated the fact that when the movers arrived they were wearing mask and kept there distance. Both young men, Altravius and Jon looked at the junk, which included an entertainment center, twin mattress set, 3 - 20" bikes and 14 other items most of them broken down already. They gave me an awesome estimate and I had them haul that junk away immediately. "Oh my goodness what great customer service!!" Altravius and Jon were so polite and friendly. My mother passed away 5 days ago and my 71 old Dad needed a bed and big screen TV removed. I wanted set the appt for my Dad to take some of the pressure away and the grief. They showed up but told my Dad the bed has bed bugs and because of that they can't take anything from the Condo at all. 1st of all there have never been Bed Bugs at my Parents Condo. They did not have any special device to determine if the bed had bed bugs. They just quickly looked and said no we can't help you goodbye. This is horrible service. When I called Got Junk the guy said let me talk to a manager and then got back on the phone and said we can't help you because of the bed bugs. My parents have been to the Doctors many time because of poor medical situation and never has there been an issue with bed bugs. As a result my 71 year old father carried the mattress by himself and threw it in the dumpster. Great Service I think not. Will never use this service again! read more

In the interest of purging the junk I've accumulated over the years, I called 1-800-GOTJUNK. The office I used was actually out of Woodinville, I believe. The appointment was a snap to set up. I received information about pricing before they arrived. Was informed that items with freon (a freezer in my case) would cost a seperate $25 charge. It would cost the same if I could get the freezer to dump myself (which I couldn't). The 2 guys (Nate and Markus) called when they were half hour away. They arrived at 8:55 and were driving away with a fully loaded truck at 9:35. Some people may think their service is pricey but when you consider the time running around to the various recycle centers for the stuff disposed ot and the cost of multiple dump trips, not to mention the strong backs of young men, it was well worth the cost to me. Will use again should the need arise! read more

Wish I would have checked Yelp first before using their services - looks like I could have saved $50......oh well. It's literally the only reason I rated them 4 instead of 5. I've used this company twice in the past 2 years, and both times featured easy and simple set-up, as well as top notch friendliness from each of the haulers who removed my unwanted junk. A bit pricey, but it feels worth the extra bit of coin to know that recycling and donating are emphasized instead of merely dumping into a landfill. My second experience with 1800GJ was as swift, courteous and efficient as the last, some ten years ago. The team, Jared and Mike, were friendly and jovial while being fast and professional. Having strangers in your home amidst all the clutter you want gone can be incredibly anxiety inducing. But then Jared and Mike show up and all that fades away because they are just there, handling business and having a good time about it. From the booking to the price to the service I'm not sure what could be improved. As a single, carless, Seattleite who can barely lift her luggage into the overhead compartment, I'm truly, humbly grateful for services like this. I cannot day enough great things about this company... I used them three consecutive times for the gutting of a restaurant and they were everything you want them to be. They were kind, called when they said they were going to call, showed up when they said they were going to show up, quick and efficient and even followed up with e-mail and phone call to see if I was satisfied with my experience. What was a very stressful process of closing and emptying a large restaurant, they were the one thing I didn't have to worry about. I absolutely love 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Recently I was helping my elderly neighbor and unfortunately they had bedbugs, which was a surprise because their home was always emasculate. So, the gentleman said they couldn't remove it until it had been treated (there's a specific method you can do) so we got it treated, they came back out and removed everything within a very short period of time. These guys definitely know what they're doing. I love what they stand for, and keep a high percentage out of the landfill and they recycle and donate too, huge bonus!! My mother-in-law passed and we had the daunting task of cleaning out a lifetime of stuff. When everything was sorted, we loved the ease of booking our on-line appointment. There were lots of options for pick up times, even on the weekend. Curtious, and professional young men showed up early and worked fast. The fact that they came up to the condo to gather our numerous bags and boxes, and we didn't have to take everything down to the curb was huge! Dente and Jarek were so awesome! I had a mattress and boxspring removed and they gave me a fair quote to have a ridiculous chair and dresser taken away as well!
