I got a call back telling me my product would be in on October 29th. I called on 11/5/2021 and was told my product would not be in until mid to late November. WARNING - BUYER BEWARE - USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! NO VALUE TO LIFETIME WARRANTY!! Ongoing issues since installation in 2019 (See my original google reviews). Hanson's does NOT honor their warranty.....I have 4 bowed and cupping windows that 2 Hanson employees and a Hanson's independent installer told me were defective and needed to be replaced (see attached contemporaneos notes). NOTE, the Hanson employees would NOT put this in writing for me nor would the independent installer for fear of losing their contract. The Regional Manager has told me the installer stated the job was complete which is inaccurate per the contemporaneous notes with the installer on 11/2/22. At this time, Hanson's is refusing to replace the 4 defective windows but the Operations Manager instead wanted to put non-factory screws into the base of the frame track to push down the cupping and bowing so the windows would no longer "look" bowed.... This is a "jury-rigged" fix so they do not have to replace their defective windows and honor the warranty. Seriously, they have sales people who will suck you in and provide a copy of the lifetime warranty but if a company does not honor their word, then the warranty is worthless. read more

Then, they sent me sub contractors to complete the installation, which has not been done correctly. for example, many metal screws were added to the let to windows that are not part of the design and look ugly, the team did damage my bathroom door, screen door bent and damaged, sub contractors are like Graiglist handyman with no badge or sign on the truck........ I gently called 1800Hanson and asked for a quality inspection. it looks like all they care about is the payment and not the quality of their product. Then a lady called me asking me to either make the payment immediately or it goes to collection without first taking care of my issues. what an attitude and customer service. I called hansons for a screen repair and was on hold for over a half hour, when Nicole answered my call the only offer i got to get my screen repaired was 4\30\21 between 11-1. todays date is 4\8\21. I cannot believe that they treat their customers this way. I have been with hansons since 1996, had two houses fully replaced with their windows and this is how they treat a repeat customers. i guess in the future i will deal with a company that cares about their customers and their needs and not just a sale! I had a wonderful crew Jack B with B & E Construction that performed the work on my home. I had new windows installed throughout the entire house. The workers were courteous, efficient and did an excellent job. After they were done they hauled away all debris. I would highly recommend this company and crew. I would give them 0 stars if I could. Paid in full 12 months ago. Siding installed in late December and gutter installed in February. Siding was not installed properly and has warped throughout. Company is HORRIBLE at communicating and will only return calls when you call multiple times. We are still waiting for action. I cannot in good conscience recommend this business to anyone I know. There was some confusion in getting the quote scheduled but that isn't the worst of it. They subcontract all the work out to other companies. I met with them in May. The work was supposed to be done in July. It was just done. I looks great but there were some issues with communication for the install. The guy on the job was initially not very friendly but slowly warmed up after his hangover improved. They are sending reps out to get your business but they don't have enough workers to complete the work. The siding looks great though. read more

At first I was a little nervous when only Tom kurkowski showed up to install the windows. But the guy was fantastic he was able to replace all 9 windows including my front window. Which is a oversized window by himself. The trim work and caulk work. Just wow it looks fantastic. I have never seen such smooth looking caulk lines. Both me and my wife are loving the new windows we had the old metal frame single pane windows. I work midnights The noise was horrible. With the new ones. It's much easier to sleep the noise has been reduced tremendously. read more

Never go with Hansons very unprofessional. First we get told that measure techs will be out within a week. Never came for over a month and missed a window measurement. Finally came back a week later. This all delayed the process of the windows to be manufactured. This bothered me cause we were told 8 weeks but it went to 16 weeks, which we got over l. Next the installer came out cursed my wife out screaming at her which I had to leave work to ask him to be professional. I leave cause I'm a truck driver I end up getting a phone call from my neighbors that this guy is screaming again they thought someone was being injured. Contacted the company. All while things in my house were broke. Next I get a message from their sales guy David which promises to be there at installation don't count on this. He says he messed up and didn't order the window and wasn't in the contract. Yet I have his email that states change 6 basement windows to obscure no charge. Don't ever get windows unless you love stress and being treated like crap. Never once has Hansons tried to rectify any of this. read more

In my previous home (1927 build), almost all the windows were the original wood/lead glass which, as expected, were poor insulators and did not open/close smoothly. I wanted to replace them all and was not looking for top of the line windows as I knew I wasn't going to live there forever, but I also didn't want junk. A couple people I worked with recommended them, so I called for a quote. The first issue I had with Hansen's was they sent a sales rep who knew little to nothing about window installation nor did he have a clue about competitor brands and how they compared to Hansen's products. He was more interested in making a sale than anything and quoted me an absolutely outrageous amount. I called Hansen's back and complained and they sent a much better gentleman from the commercial side who knew a lot about windows in general and who actually took his time with me. He quoted me for 8 triple pane, mid-grade windows, and he said normally the triple pane are only available to commercial customers but they would install them in my house. The price was a lot better for supposedly better windows, so I went with it. The installer was one guy - I was surprised, but he did a very nice job, was polite, did not waste any time getting to work, and cleaned up well. After he installed the windows I was disappointed to see on the tag they were double pane - not the triple pane I was promised, but oh well. Not the installer's fault. As far as the quality of the windows, I was not impressed, especially considering they were mid-grade, but I went from painted shut windows to windows that actually opened, so I was happy about that. For the double hung windows, the latches felt cheap and the windows only had a half screen and not a full screen, which I thought was pretty skimpy - part of the point of a double hung window (at least in my opinion) is to open it at the top and bottom simultaneously. My American Craftsman windows installed a few years prior came with full screens. Second, one of the casement windows quit latching after just a few uses, meaning it would not close properly. I had to take the screen off to grab and close the window. I ended up selling my house not long after, so I didn't end up calling them to fix the window. Lastly, I was supposed to get a free tablet with my purchase and never received it. I called them and they did send it out right away, to their credit. Overall, I think Hansen's is good for people who need bargain windows and/or a financing program. They also are good at getting back to you as far as customer service. Personally, I purchased a new home and am needing some windows replaced, but I am calling around to other companies instead and will likely end up paying more for a better product. read more

MAJOR LEAK, REFUSING TO REPAIR. Roof on my house was installed in 2019. It has a major leak in 2022 and they refuse to service the roof or even come look at the roof because the previous home owners had it installed and it isn't under my name. We agreed to have hansons replace our roof, gutters and replace the facia on our home. We had a number of businesses give us estimates and they were not the cheapest, but they told us they would be able to do the job the soonest. We waited and waited, contacted them numerous times, received a number of "your installation will be" emails. Finally after many weeks, they came and did our roof. They did a great job. Looks good. They only replaced a small piece of board (the person said we probably wouldnt get charged cause it wasnt even a full board). So, we waited again for the gutters and facia to be installed. We waited and we waited. Called about when it was going to be done, received emails about installation, blah, blah, blah. They finally came out a few days ago. The roof was done in July, its January of the next year. After, the workers were finished, my husband gets a call about the completion. When he told them, it was not good. That they put facia on part of the front and one side. then the other side the new facia was wrapped around about a foot onto the old facia. Looks awful. The caller asked how it was, he stated it looks like a patch job. She ignored that and said you need to pay $110 right now for the board that was used on the roof. And then to top it off, she said the financing, which they ran through, had expired. THEY TOOK SO LONG TO GET THE JOB DONE THAT OUR FINANCING HAD EXPIRED. So, very upset with this company. The quality of the roof job was great. The actual workers who did the work were very nice, but when you take 7 to 8 months to even start the job after you tell your customer 6 to 8 weeks. TERRIBLE QUALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE! We replaced 17 year old windows and a patio door and the old sealed better than what Hansons has installed!! They installed them three months ago, one window was wrong and we are still waiting for them to come back and install it. Left the patio door screen falling off the track and it was bent, they told us "they are cheap, not much you can do about it", seal on the screen is two inches short and we were getting bugs and ants in the house, seal between the doors is awful, we can hear traffic outside and feel air blowing through, window screens didn't seal at the bottom. Have made several phone calls and service appointments, they have canceled twice. One time came out, didn't have what they needed to do the job!?! Even spoke to a supervisor whom was suppose to call me back two days later and three weeks now I still haven't heard from her! We want what the salesman sold us.....good quality windows and patio door. Paying twice as much in heating bills due to leaks! Unacceptable and very disappointing. I am currently getting ready to move into a home that needs a cple of windows replaced, some roof repair and some siding repair. I called hansons to schedule an appointment for June 27th 2023 and I was told that I cannot schedule any further out than June 6th 2023. I work for a cabinet/granite company and we will schedule people a year out. The company I work for would rather have a year's full of work instead of one week's worth of work. The reason I want to schedule on June 27th 2023 is because I am moving into the home on June 26th 2023 and I am going to have several contractors at my home on the 27th of June to give me estimates on different work that I want done. I will never use a company that forces you to schedule within a week out. Many people plan ahead for a certain day for certain reasons. I called when they were 15 minutes late and was told that because they could not confirm my appointment, they would not be showing up. Really? I have voicemail at home and on my cell phone. Hansons customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. We had a salesman give us a quote on new windows and we put down a deposit. The next week someone came out to measure and said they could not do what the salesman told us because of a structural issue. We were told someone would be reaching out to come back out and give us a new price on installing the windows a different way with supports in between. After a couple weeks of not hearing back I decided to call and see what was going on. I had to call 4 times over the span of a month and kept getting told every time that somebody from management would be reaching out. After still not hearing back for a month, I then called and asked for my deposit back. Someone from corporate, Deon Baldwin, reached out and said he would give us a substantial discount if we continued with them and assured me I wouldn't have any more problems. He told me "you would have a better chance at winning the power ball than having another issue with us because once my name is on something it gets done." We continued to have the same exact issues after talking with him. He sent out someone to check on the structural issue the next day. The guy that came out said there would be no structural issue and they could continue with the original plan if we decided to stay with them. He said he would be calling me back in the next 2 hours with a new lower price for what we had dealt with. I never heard from him. I then called the guy from corporate multiple times and he told me they were still worried about the structural issue. I asked what the point was of sending the guy out to look at the issue if they weren't going to listen to his opinion. He then told me he would call me back in 20 minutes with a new price. I never heard from him. After multiple more calls, I didn't want to deal with them any longer and called and demanded my deposit back. I then called D&W windows and they quoted me almost half the price and said there would be no structural issue whatsoever. Hansons likes to claim they have the best warranty and that is why their prices are higher, but I couldn't imagine trying to get ahold of someone to actually come out if we needed something fixed. read more

We had our roof replaced in March 2011 due to a leak that sprung up. The price was fair, the sales person friendly and the roofers were nice enough. That is where the good points end. During our meeting with the sales person, we emphatically told him that we DID NOT want the shingles on our bay window replaced. We also told him that we DID WANT our old satellite dish REMOVED from the back. Guess what happened? Satellite dish was put back on, then removed at my insistence. Then the worst part...the bay window was RESHINGLED. In the process of doing what they were told NOT TO, they managed to mangle our siding. Mangle is actually an understatement. All around the top of the bay window they left about a 2-3 inch gap cut out of the siding. The shingles did not taper up and blend with the siding like the previously did. I pointed this out to the foreman who apologized and said he would return to make it right. Well return he did...4 more times with results getting noticeably worse with each trip. At one point Hanson's thought it would be great to smoosh a bunch of caulking into the gap to close it. Too bad the caulking was nearly black in color and not the light tan that the house is. The story does not get any better from here. The final trip out, they put a big off-white siding panel around the top of the bay window. Along with this monstrosity, they have the great idea to use caulking that looks like a five year old finger painted it on. We finally gave up on this endeavor due us not being able to sit at home to babysit them each successive time that they came out, and going in to try to sue would cost us more than the roof repair. Needless to say, when Hanson's recently came back around the neighborhood canvassing for more work, we said "YES!. We are looking to get our house resided, just not by your CRAPPY company". The look on the sales guy face was great. He was hoping that he was getting a sale only to be slapped with the insult of working for a shoddy company. I hope Hanson's reads this and wants to talk. I am more than willing to remove this review if they are willing to make their wrong right! read more

I had the pleasure of working with Hansons for new windows for my new house. I believe the quality of the windows, workmanship, and lead time to get the job completed were very satisfactory. I really enjoyed working with my rep Bill and him taking the time to explain and show me the different types of glass and materials used. Ultimately yes I would recommend them for windows, and probably any of the other work they specialize in. The only thing that didn't earn my complete complete satisfaction, is the fact the work was not completed in a timely manner. On the day of the installation, the windows got put in, insulation foam injected around the frame, etc... but apparently the day didn't allow enough time to install the outside trim... So I get it if there weren't enough hours in the day, but the job remained unfinished the day after... and the day after... and the next, etc.... It took me 2 or 3 calls to insist the job get completed and finally about a week and a half later the installer came back out and completed the job. But like I said, other than that, I'm pretty happy with the results and would recommend Hansons to anybody interested in windows =) Besides, installing energy efficient windows earns you tax deductions, let alone energy savings, it's a win situation all around =) read more

Seriously, my mom entered Hansons contest and within 10 minutes they were calling our house to see when we wanted to make an appointment to come in. Mind you, we don't need a new roof or anything from Hansons, my mom was just checking out their site to see what they had to offer, and figured there would be no harm in entering their free contest. So, 10 minutes after filling out the form our phone rings. It's Hansons wanting to know when we can come to their showroom or schedule an appointment. After letting them know we didn't want anything they became insistent. So, rather than argue my mom said, "Sure, Wednesday at 7." with no plans to follow through. Sure enough, Wednesday at 7, my house phone starts to ring and doesn't stop until 7:45 until someone from Hansons Windows actually showed up AT MY HOUSE. I let him know that even if I made an appointment to get an estimate and didn't show up, that showing up unannounced at my house was unacceptable and unprofessional. He left, I thought it was finally over. I was wrong. Immediately after I send the guy away, my phone continues to ring and my caller ID verifies that it's Hansons for the FIFTH time in less than an hour, they also emailed and left voicemails. This is harassment, there is no contest, it's a scam to get info that you would normally not give and harass you until you buy something. It is not acceptable to send anyone to my house if I didn't agree to it and the guy on the phone apologized but didn't see what they are doing is wrong. I told him I entered a contest but he didn't acknowledge that either, he just said they thought I wanted a roof estimate. IT'S A SCAM. Period. read more

Hanson's wouldn't even come out to quote it because I wasn't having at least 3 windows replaced. My picture window is bigger than any other 3 windows in my house. They are also full of BS. They don't return any service calls, they take even longer to repair- like months and months. Then it still is not satisfactory. We had a full house if windows, siding and roof on house, garage and pole barn. Our siding from multiple walls had fallen off after the first light storm. Took months and several calls to the call center and managers to finally get them out again. Finally a different crew came out and the siding still fell down. We currently have siding laying on the ground. I called May 19th and still have not received a callback. I just called again. The receptionist said the scheduling manager would get on it. We are interested in new siding and gutters. I have heard Hansons ads since I was kid, so I had them come out for a free estimate. I really liked our salesman(A.V.) He is young and inexperienced, but he was really nice and courteous. I would give him 5 stars. The reason for the 2 stars was the quote process. Before we started, I said we can skip all of the games. Please, just give me your best. It was first 35K, then $25k, then the friends and family discount for $20k. This is the third time the lock on my sliding doors has stop working, I have had these doors installed less then 2 years ago. I called today 8/1/2017 and spoke with the assistant manager. Each time I have called for service I get the same response; YOU'LL HAVE TO GO ON A WAITING LIST FOR SERVICE. After expressing my very blunt feelings and concerns about the urgency of this matter being resolved immediately, she said that she could get someone out tomorrow. There is no since of urgency when it comes to warranty repairs for their products. When I stated that I should have used Wallside Windows, the assistant manager made the statement "YOU DON'T THINK THEY HAVE THE SAME ISSUES". Will change my review if my views change. Our roofing project was supposed to start 2 weeks ago. It's supposed to start tomorrow now but the project manager said probably not. Sales rep told us they only replace wood if it's rotted, our project manager glanced in the attic for 5 seconds and said all of the wood needs to be replaced because of spacing. I have messaged multiple times with questions with zero response. Sales rep also told us things that the project manager says are not accurate. The owner of the company must be really arrogant and a degenerate to be that desperate for business. You're dealing with millennials now buddy and we dont operate like it's the 70s. I used Hanson's for new gutters with gutter guards. First off, the salesperson wasn't not truthful on the actual costs of all the work that needed to be done. When we tried to dispute the extra charges through customer service the lady argued and just charged us approximately an extra $100 because they already had our credit card information. Secondly, all Hanson's did was hire a contractor (outside company) to do the work. Why have a middle man who takes a cut? I mine as well just hire the contractor as I imagine it would've been cheaper. The contractor left a small mess. Little snippets of gutter all around the house. In my opinion, just go with another company. The dishonest practices weren't worth the hassle. They have called me since then asking for more business. The lady on the phone just tries to show empathy and sell me more services. She even disputed that they don't contract out work for gutters. NO HANSON'S!! NEVER AGAIN!! read more

I am active duty marine corps just moved to this duty station and bought a house I had broken windows so I went to look up company's and this company popped up. Little did I know it was Complete trash they messed up the order I called the regional manager and he told me it was my fault and basically for lack of better words to bad so sad. I told The salesman I wanted the windows to match the house he finds the color and said he put it in then when the windows get here there white so now I have white windows and brown windows on my house. Every time I called to get it fixed they told me it was my fault and that I need to pay an additional 2,000 dollars on top of the $6,000 if I wanted to fix it. Then to top it off they installed a broken window! Months later when they came to fix it they said I had to pay $130. This is an absolute trash company the sales man Andrew, the regional manager we're complete assholes! Terrible customer service!!! Salesman made us sit through a 90 minute presentation all while telling us what a nice guy he was and how he wasn't making any commission on this job. Over and over about How he's looking out for us, etc. But not really. We were told on the phone that it was a 3 window minimum and that our picture window counted as 2, but when the salesman was here we would have to buy a kitchen window too, because the 3 we needed replaced wouldn't meet the $2k minimum. My husband and I watched the whole presentation including the sob story about how the business got its name and little old lady who's so happy about the lack of high pressure sales and other emotional pleas to soften us up. Then, as we were finishing up we were told that we needed to close the deal while he was here because he was "not driving back out here." The best part is that if he does drive back out here we won't have the same price and that it would be double his estimate if we called next week. Needless to say I was furious. No pressure sale wasn't the case, so what else he may have been dishonest about. The quality? The Warranty? Because the price certainly isn't something we can count on. read more

Good: Came out on time to give us an initial estimate for siding for an old farmhouse. Ed was fantastic and talked us through the process, clearly showed us his measurements and how many squares we'd need. Gave us a high quote but "finagled" his way down but it was still too high for me. Did not hard sell us. We said we'd think about it and call them in a few days. Good: Justin called a few days later from Hansons and said that they wanted to expand in our area and because we are on a busy street they will get high visibility and essentially say marketing dollars. Said he had the okay to give us a price that was "just above cost" because it'll be an investment. Good: Justin came back out, remeasured to ensure the number of squares Ed had measured were correct. He was on time and easy to deal with...he gave us a revised quote that was very reasonable and we signed the deal. This was only 4 days after Ed's visit. Very cool! Justin told me another Hansons guy would come out to measure one last time to be sure. I was very impressed that they had such attention to detail. They put a sign in my yard and began reaping the benefits of the busiest street in Berrien County with their sign out front. BAD: Justin forgot to get my signature on something, so he had to come back out and get it signed. No biggie. It was a few days later so things weren't moving as fast as I had hoped. The measurement guy did come out the day after that. BAD: No word from Hansons for two weeks. Left a message. No reply. Just wanted to know when they planned on starting. BAD: Get a call from Hansons. Call them back the next day, figure they have a question about the credit application. THEY INFORMED ME THEY CAN NO LONGER PERFORM THE JOB FOR THE PRICE THAT THEY QUOTED. What???? They gave me a quote. They begged me to come out again and offer me another price. They offered me that price with NO HAGGLING on my part. I didn't talk them into a price they didn't like. THEY SAID "IT'S NOT PROFITABLE ENOUGH FOR US. WE WON'T DO THE JOB." They were able to try and offer me a price $10k higher though, that would be better for them to make money off of me. BAIT AND SWITCH!!!! Justin (and another Hansons guy) had said they were willing to do it "FOR COST" for the exposure. A week later, while still fuming about this poor business practice, my wife called. THEY SAID: "THE SIDING WASN'T MEASURED PROPERLY THAT'S WHY IT'S NOT PROFITABLE." No one said that to me the previous week. HANSONS MEASURED THREE TIMES...coming up with the same number each time. THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE MEASURED. The lies are amazing. They wasted 6 weeks of my life on this and I essentially gave away free advertising with their sign in my yard.
