His estimate was half of the other guys. He closed the valves on my AC unit so we wouldn't leak any more refrigerant so he would have to refill as much. The other company quoted 12 pounds and Eric only ended up adding 4 pounds. Eric completed the replacement, and testing if the new evaporator coil, cleaned up after himself all in about 3 hours. Needless to say, Dependable is now our Service Provider. Their annual service includes 2 inspections with cleaning and filter replacement. Highly recommend this family owned business.

Yesterday we had our new company come out because the unit was running 16 hrs a day and not reaching cooling goal. I told them the unit was only 3 years old and they proved to me that it was actually a builder grade 2017 unit. It was 6 years old when it was installed. Josh was a neighbor and friend and I defended him to neighbors who felt he wasn't above board. He professed to be a good Christain man. We are preparing to install a 4th unit in our 20 year old house, however by a company that guarantees their equipment and labor.

Had a work-in visit today from Airmaster for a old old old unit that stopped working over the…read moreweekend. The horizontal unit is tucked away in a kneewall and is difficult to access the drain pan....which was the entirety of the problem. Clogged drainline which resulted in a float switch stopping the entire unit until emptied. The closed in area was no problem for the tech, Richard...who unclogged the line and then heaved himself into the knee wall between the rafters and horizontal furnace in order to clean the pan. Checking the pressure at the condensing unit, we had sufficient everything including temp testing the supply and return ducts....he wrapped it up in less than an hour and back to cooling off that portion of our home. It always an expense to call in for any maintenance and repair on any part of your home....but fair prices and good workers makes it worth the while for my continuing to call back AirMaster.

First, the technicians are always so nice, very knowledgeable and never make me feel like they are trying to sell me a service or equipment I don't really need. I have been a Realtor for almost 15 years and have dealt with many vendors in the HVAC industry. Some have been good, some have been not so good. With Comfort Control, I have had techs here late at night, on weekends (Sunday too) and have never had to wait long for service. I always feel like they are honest and do what needs to be done at a fair price. That is very important to me. Second, I have referred them to a few of my clients and I have never had any of them express anything except complete satisfaction. Definitely not the norm but a satisfying reaction for me since I sent them:-) I had a client who had her air stop working in one of the hottest days of the year. She was watching her 10 week old grandson and was panicked. She texted me and I gave her their number. Later that day she called me to thank me for the referral and they got someone out there pretty quickly who was able to fix the problem at a reasonable cost (on a weekend) She continues to use them when needed and for maintenance. Kovack Mechanical Inc, was recommended to us for our AC issues. At first it seemed ok but after…read moresigning and financing it became a nightmare. My AC went out on July 2nd, they came out July 3rd and told us they would be there to install on July 9th. I received a text and email confirmation. At 2pm on the 9th I called to find out when they were coming to install and the owner said that they were coming Thursday and had no idea why I received a confirmation beyond him telling me as well he was coming that day. When they arrived they displayed no customer service in assuring that I knew they were on my property or their game plan how they were going to get the unit place. The owner went to remove the unit from his trailer and did not properly unchain the unit causing it to fall off the skid steer and dent it. They also did not remove the tracks on the bottom so it would have a properly displacement of weight on the new pad. After speaking to the owner earlier that week I found him to be condescending and rude. He talks over me the entire time I tried to talk and ask questions so I can be prepared for his arrival. During installation my husband and I decided it to be best if he looked at it when he got home from work and dealt with him rather than me. When he came home we found not only the unit dented, but trash everywhere, sloppy installation, the unit not leveled, gaps under the damaged pad, and no p-trap installed on the drain but yet placed so that the runoff would erode the unit over time. They sent the owners son out to fix it twice. We told him to have his dad call so that we can discuss the damage. I refused to approve payment until that discussion. When he finally called, again condescending and talked over me. He said the unit was not damaged that it worked. I said you know what why don't you call my husband and you all discuss this, I don't appreciate not getting a chance to say what I have to say. To which he said he's going to put a lien on my house. I am fully prepared to release the funds but not for a dented unit. If you purchased a brand new truck and the dealer dented it, would you still take it because it still works? Horrible company, disrespectful towards women, not at all good communicators and display very poor workmanship.

They went out on 8/27/21, checked the unit, and said that the grills upstairs were closed and that was the only issue. They opened the grills and said that the AC was fixed. A week after my mother's close date, two weeks after Kovack went out to the property, the AC completely shut off. We had a different company, Elite Comfort Services, come to inspect as well as had Kovack go back out. Elite found damaged external wires, spliced wires at the unit, missing disconnect boxes, and a few items that were not up to code. The second time Kovack went out, they only gave us a report for the damaged external wires. Again, not a thorough inspection. How did they not see the damaged/spliced external wires the first time? Why did they not report the damaged wires to the previous owner for repair? Isn't is suspicious that the AC was not working, but opening the grills fixed it? They informed me on the phone that they did not conduct a full inspection the first time because they were not told to do so by the previous owner, but then turned around and told my mother's agent that they conducted a full inspection and nothing was wrong. So which is it? Was a full inspection conducted or not? If so, where is the report? This was supposed to be fixed before my mother's close date, and because Kovack did not do their job correctly my mother had to pay out of pocket for the repairs. We went with Elite Comfort Solutions because they conducted a full inspection and were very informative and knowledgeable. We did not trust Kovack to complete the job correctly and expected for Kovack to find additional items that needed to be addressed. I would not recommend their services to anyone.

What. A. Disaster…read more Last Tuesday evening I realized our upstairs AC unit wasn't cooling as well as it should. It was 79°, instead of the 72° it was set at. It was bearable so we waited to call in the morning. My husband called Cool Max based on Yelp reviews and they scheduled to come out after lunch. Two men showed up at 3:30p (not the 1-2p time frame stated when he called). One was a service tech (son of the owner) and the other was training (Ex-brother-in-law). They were polite and began to look at the AC unit(s) outside. The service tech came in and told me we had a tiny leak and that the bill would be $1200+. Our home is only three years old and that seemed ridiculous. I called my husband who was about to catch a flight home and he asked what the parts and service breakdown was. The service tech said they didn't do it that way but said he put what was wrong on the iPad and that's the amount it gave him to quote. After asking many questions he finally said he could just refill the refrigerant but that it would likely leak out again in the next TWO TO THREE YEARS. We decided to go that route since it was $281 (including the $89 service call) and he said it would last 2-3 years. They quickly filled the unit, the trainee felt the air blowing with his hand, and said it was blowing 65°. Two hours later I realized that nothing had changed with the upstairs AC so I called them out again. They quickly arrived and after looking at the units realized they had WORKED ON THE WRONG UNIT!!!!! How does that even happen?!?! They asked for a sharpie so they could label which was which. There was no apologies, only excuses. The service tech tried to convince me that I must have a leak in BOTH units even though the downstairs unit is blowing as cold as an ice box. He even tried to once again push the $279 maintenance plan. I can't imagine what would have happened if I had paid to repair the leak that was obviously not there! The service tech said he wouldn't charge for the second visit, wasn't that gracious?!?!

Total RipOff! Stay Away! First they charge $89 service fees which they do not wish to roll into…read morethe fix cost. Assuming that there prices are through the roof. I got a fan motor replacement need that I had already told them. The part is like $150 and maybe one hour labor max. Their price was $800++ plus they were trying to sell $1500 package. The bloody unit comes for $1500 NEW with 10 years warranty. Just Stay Away!!
