I have been trying to get my car inspected for 31/2 weeks. Every time I call they lie the part was ordered then it wasn't ordered. They schedule me for an inspection the prior week and I asked for a mirror for the r passengers side, I was told that the parts dept. would reach out that day they never did. I called and left messages I got no call back. I then called several times totaling 4 weeks to finally get a supervisor today the part was never ordered . I spoke to 3 different people who lied and said they would return my call. TERRIBLE customer service I WILL NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THEM AGAIN they lied from the the time I purchased this car. First and foremost Hyundai should've replaced my engine. I was turned down because of a gap of oil changes between me purchasing the vehicle and the previous owner. Which I feel was complete bullshit. Wasn't my fault. Thank God I had an extended warrant with the company I purchased my vehicle from. Warranty Paid 5,327 for a new engine. I recommend no one purchase an Hyundai vehicle. Experience was horrible. Don't bring shit here. Fuckers cost me a day of work by not completing my vehicle on time. Had to call off and then they decided to not be jackasses. At least they paid for my Lyft to put up my vehicl. Should've given me a rental the day I called. Said nothing about a courtesy check in 500 miles to check my engine replacement. They originally checked the recall for my engine replacement on December 22nd 2022 and didn't checked it thoroughly. The rods failed in my 2016 Hyundai Veloster and the engine needed replaced. Regardless of proper oil changes or not the engine was going to fail because of its poor design. They build up carbon in the engine because it being direct fuel injected. If anyone has a Veloster regardless of the oil being full synthetic change it every 3-5,000 miles. I recommend a flush because the engine will build up sludge. read more

Horrible Service, I dropped my car off Sunday night as planned. Monday morning I get a call from the service center saying, "your call won't start!" I called my husband (side mechanic), who in turn called Cochran. The tried to get $100.00 for a diagnostic test. Mu husband said, "No don't touch her car, we never had an issue with the car. I'm coming up." In the meantime I get 2 text messages, one saying my car was ready please pick up by 6. The next said the previous text was an error. I called 6 times, no one would talk to me, the service manager, the dealership manager, not even Dale S the person sending me the texts. How unprofessional!! BUT!!!! The called my husband! It's my car, why not communicate with the person who owns the car? GENDER RACIST!!! Rather talk to a man than a woman!!! After not getting the $100.00 miraculously my car started with a simple jump.(so they said,) Again calling my husband and not me to de-stress me about my car not starting. When I went to go pick up my car, the service desk person refused to greet me, no hi or hello. NOTHING. My husband said, "we are her for the red Hyunda Accent." Again nothing, the man just got up, got paper work and said "I need a couple of signatures" My husband advised it was my name on the paper work and it was my car. Still no professional greeting or offer of what happened to my car. Simple what was done, "sign her and here and here" I never had such disregard, disrespectful, lack of communication, and shovanistic display of behavior as I did from Cochran of Monroeville PA. Took my car in for an oil change and inspection. I was dropping the vehicle off for next day service I told the gentleman that I only wanted a phone call for when the vehicle was done or if there was anything that needed done that wouldn't let it pass inspection. Not to call if it's only recommending the service as I wasn't going to be doing anything that didn't absolutely need done. I did not receive a call on anything. I had noticed my right rear tire losing air occasionally. our service tech found a nail in the tire, removed it and patched the tire- good as new. appreciate the ability to communicate via text while the car is in the shop, and also being able to drop it the night before. your service is customer oriented and outstanding! read more

I want to express my sincere appreciation to Cochran Hyundai service for the extraordinary level of assistance #1 Cochran Hyundai Monroeville extended it to me during what I considered to be an urgent situation. I will explain further what constituted my urgent situation. I live near Philadelphia and had stopped for an overnight with my brother in Latrobe Pennsylvania on a cross country trip to visit my daughter in college in California. After leaving my brothers house in Latrobe, heading toward Chicago, my vehicle threw an alarm and alert which caused the car to shutter and present a check engine light. This happened around in Greensburg PA on route 30. I exited and drove a short distance to an advanced auto parts store, where they attached an analyzer and determined that the vehicle was experiencing a misfire in cylinder number two. Hyundai roadside assistance dispatched a tow operator who transported by vehicle to #1 Cochran Hyundai in Monroeville PA. Upon arrival, I approached the service desk and was greeted by Michael Loffredo. Prior to that though, I had called Cochran Hyundai Scheduling, and they had already collected my vehicle's information including VIN and had that information in the database for Michael's ready retrieval. Without hesitation, Michael extended excellent customer service to me and despite having a full service schedule on this day, and the seeable future his willingness to immediately help me was greatly appreciated. He promptly spoke with the service manager/shop foreman, who agreed to further diagnose the problem with my vehicle within 2 to 3 hours, while I waited. By taking prompt action, Michael was able to belay my complete uncertainty about what would come next for my vehicle and my planned trip to see my daughter. He assured me that once the service tech has the opportunity to further diagnose the issue we could agree on a plan to get me back on the road and moving forward on my journey to California. Fast forward 3 to 4 hours. The Analysis revealed that the fuel injector for cylinder number two was failing and needed to be replaced. To my surprise and relief the parts department had a replacement fuel injector in stock, and the tech was able to replace it promptly. Following installation the vehicle was tested and confirmed to be operating normally. I then departed the dealership and continued on my journey to California. Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of the service advisors, management team, and technicians I was able to fulfill the visitation commitment I made to my daughter attending college in California. Lastly, I must again say that the extraordinary service provided by #1 Cochran Hyundai was truly appreciated. My experience at Cochran Hyundai Monroeville terrible ! When I first purchased my 2018 Sonata the sales rep didn't know much of anything . My car had mold all through it under the seats in the trunk ect ! Now 2 years lasted my engine is completely bad and burning oil like crazy . I have to do all these oil test and keep an eye on my oil for about a month or so before I can even get a new one ! It's really an inconvenience & just praying it doesn't blow on me while driving with me and kids ! Never again will I ever purchase from here or buy another Hyundai! I am always impressed withe the Service dept at the Hyundai dealership. I was disappointed this time with the fact that my 2017 Tucson needed tires with just 11,948 miles on the vehicle. I did have them replace all 4 but thinking back shouldn't they have done some adjustment on the purchase of the new tires. I did have them rotated at 8,000 miles and I keep the air pressure checked all the time. This review is for the Hyundai dealership which I can't seem to bring up, just goes to Cadillac. This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. The staff seemed totally disinterested in connecting with us. It took almost 5 hours over 2 days to buy a car. We were ignored and left to sit while we waited for someone to work with us. When we finally did get some service the employee kept leaving us to talk to someone else. The sales staff was not prepared to answer any of our questions. The financing people pushed us to buy extras. One of the cars that we drove was dirty and smelled like smoke. I would have walked out and gone to another dealer if the car that we were looking at had been somewhere else. I purchased a brand new Hyundai Elantra the car wasn't even 2 yrs old and the engine needed replaced then a year later the starter goes mind you they are both covered under warranty and each time it's like pulling teeth to get a loaner which I'm entitled to this last incident they left me without a vehicle for 5days even lied to me so that didn't have to give me a loaner. I received my vehicle with a damaged drivers inside door panel, it was scratched to hell and back, the inside of the vehicle was not detailed as we agreed, the windows were dirty had smudge swirls on all of them, the receipt report indicated that I declined a service that was never mentioned to me, your service team broke a piece of hard ware and then had to order another part in order to complete the power steering recall in which you knew about and purposely delayed returning the vehicle but did not inform me, my left rear passenger window tint was perforated and is now missing a portion of tint 12 inches long, IN ALL THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE THAT I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A DEALERSHIP... We had already explored the 2016 Sonata at another dealership, but didn't feel comfortable working with them. We decided to check out Cochran and immediately had a different experience. Charlie greeted us as we were looking at the cars on the lot... There were plenty to check out! His first question wasn't "How much do you want to spend?" Instead he asked us what we were looking for and informed us on the ins and outs of each vehicle/package. We took a test drive and WOW what a difference! Instead of test driving a smokey dirty car, we were in a new Sonata that smelled and felt new. Charlie said that he could find one just the way I wanted - color, sorry package, and within the budget. He definitely did! When we started to crunch numbers, Heather worked with us to keep the car in the budget and get it in the road. I couldn't find the title to my trade-in, but Heather told me exactly what I needed to do to have a new one requested so I could leave that night in a new car. I'm very pleased with my car buying experience at Cochran. I got the car I wanted at a price I couldn't argue with. I came in for an oil change and they were extremely friendly and advised I could wait in their waiting room, I let him know I was going to run errands and then be back and if it was done to please call so I could grab my car. They wrote down my number and called promptly when it was finished (less than 30 minutes). They advised I needed to change a filter and something else and they could do this but wanted to call me before doing so so they did not open my glovebox before asking if I wanted the service, which I GREATLY appreciated, I said I was fine with them adding this after they advised how much extra it would cost for the maintenance work, they said it would be done in and extra 40 minutes but when I pulled around the corner in 15 I saw my car was finished. COVID-19 May have had a hand in how fast this was done, but I also appreciated how kind and professional they were! I will definitely be coming back! read more

I had to corner the manager, Brian, in the service station and demand to know what happened, when I'll get my car back, and a loaner car since they did not offer up either. 2.5 weeks to get my car back and had over spray all over it since they had to replace the bumper and headlights. I made an appointment with Cochran Hyundai - Monroeville to take a look at my 2017 Hyundai Tucson. My brake light on the dashboard came on and they took a look to see what the issue was. It ended up being the brake light vacuum switch. It didn't take long at all to deal with the issue. Dale in the Service Dept. did a fantastic job in assisting me and describing the issue with me, as well as recommending other things to service to make sure my SUV won't have this type of issue again. They were both very helpful in every way and you can tell they truly care if your satisfied. My son and I were on the lot looking at another car, when we saw an escape we wanted. We were told it was just brought in on trade and they needed to look it over and then would get back to us. We clearly expressed our interest. We waited an entire week for the car to be available and when we were finally called we made plans to go to the dealership. Friday night I completed an application for finance and was approved. We were getting ready to head up to purchase and contacted the sales agent we'd been dealing with all week at 3pm on Saturday to say we'd be there at 5 with the funds to purchase the vehicle. We did not attempt to haggle on price and we did not have a trade in to negotiate over. We were told they didn't have our information (that we had entered on their website) and that the finance person had an appt Saturday at 5 and there was nothing they could do and we would have to come Monday to purchase the vehicle. I expressed concern that they said they didn't have the information I submitted via their website and surprise that I couldn't purchase the vehicle, and I was told "the person who handles the finance has an appointment at 5pm. Does that make sense?" I ignored the condescension and said that, "while it did 'make sense' to me, I had never had a car dealership not have the time (during business hours) to make a sale and that they better go tell anyone walking on their lot that they didn't have any time to sell cars today." As my son really wanted the car, we agreed to go Monday. After rearranging work schedules to go up on Monday, we called again to confirm they could fit us in this time and was told that the car had been sold Saturday morning. Bought my Sonata here in 2008 and take it here fairly regularly for service. I love that I can wait for it in the waiting room and still work because of their free wireless connection. It's a dealership so it's a little more pricey than just going to a local mechanic but for certain things I'd rather have the work done by Hyundai. I have homes in Edgewood and the D.C. Area. I generally have my Cadillac serviced at Lindsay Cadillac in Alexandria. Unfortunately I had the misfortune of having a check engine light come on while in Pittsburgh and unfortunately I took my car to Cochran for service. The website stated the Saturday service hours but I found a sign saying service was closed and take my car to their Buick service center, which I did. I was informed that they could not work on my car but they would have Cadillac service call me on Monday. I called them at 4:30PM on Monday and after an hour on hold I discovered they did not even know my car was there. A nice young man then scheduled an appointment for Tuesday to have someone check the car - they charged me $8.14 for his scheduling. On Tuesday I was called and told the diagnostic test showed nothing other than a low oil level. I followed their suggestion and had an oil change even though the car showed 47% oil life left. They also suggested flushing the cooling system and cleaning the injection system which I told them to do even though the car only had 35K miles. Upon arriving for pickup, I walked into the service center where a gentleman was sitting at his desk eating a piece of cheese. He looked up at me but said nothing so I stated my name and that I was there to pick up my car. Without a word he tossed his cheese on the desk, retrieved my paperwork and finally spoke to me - "It comes to $578.05". I paid the $578.05, was handed my keys, told to walk through the service center and I would find my car 'somewhere' out back. I did say thank you although I did not get a response. When I did locate my car, I was surprised to see no courtesy wash, as Lindsay always does. When I the car I instantly got a check engine light plus the indicator still showed the same 47% oil life remaining. I did not even go inside to argue as I would not trust them to touch my car again. I simply called Lindsay Cadillac in the D.C. Area and scheduled an appointment for when I return in two days. I will gladly pay another diagnostic charge rather than ever deal with Cochran Cadillac again. I spoke with a Pittsburgh neighbor at a house I am flipping. He owns two Cadillacs and lives closer to Cochran but tells me he goes to Bowser Cadillac for purchase and service. Can not say I blame him. NEVER AGAIN !! FOLLOW UP: Took my car to Lindsay who ran diagnostic test and found a defective oxygen sensor. They replaced the oxygen sensor, washed my car and delivered to me curbside at the service desk. At Lindsay I received REAL service. read more
