No rescheduling, no refund, no concern for your situation. * Booking via their app? Your card gets charged automatically before you even set foot in the place, and if the appointment doesn't happen? Too bad, they still take your money. * They treat every situation as if it's your fault. It doesn't matter if life throws an emergency your way; they have zero sympathy or understanding. My Experience: Picture this: I called them 15 minutes ahead, informing them I was stuck in traffic due to a car accident and would arrive 20 minutes late. You'd think they'd show some understanding, but no. When I got there, the shop was completely empty, barbers scrolling through their phones like they had all the time in the world. But apparently, those 20 minutes were the end of the world for them. I was told my appointment was void, and I would need to pay again--totaling an absurd $80 for a single haircut. Trying to remain calm, I paid an extra $44 to get my haircut. But afterward, I contacted Mrs. Diana, who manages their policy enforcement, expecting at least a shred of human decency. What I got instead was accusations. She claimed I'm "always late," like that somehow justifies their complete lack of customer care. And then she had the nerve to say their policies were non-negotiable--even in emergencies like the car accident I'd just been in. Loyalty Means Nothing Here: This woman has cut my hair since I was 16. I'm 24 now, and apparently, 7 years of loyalty don't mean a thing to them. They treat loyal, long-time customers like nothing more than a dollar sign, sticking to absurd rules and showing no flexibility, even when circumstances are completely out of your control. Not the First Time: Just last month, I missed an appointment because I overslept. I didn't make a fuss; I took responsibility even though I've been a loyal customer for seven years at that point. But this time, I made the effort to inform them ahead of time about my delay due to a car crash, and they still charged me double. And keep in mind--the place was EMPTY. They could have easily shifted me to another barber or rescheduled. But no, they're too busy enforcing their petty, money-grubbing policies. Final Thoughts: Let me be clear: this barbershop doesn't care about its customers. They don't care about loyalty, fairness, or integrity. They care about bleeding you dry, one rigid, unfair policy at a time. Yes, the barbers are skilled, but what's the point when the business itself is this rotten? This barber shop is very unprofessional. The owner is rude. He makes inappropriate comments to his customers in front of everyone. After advising of the disrespect, he continued with the inappropriate comments. They increase their prices 4 times in the last year. They do not value their clients. They are not friendly and do not provide the best services. They cancel your appointments if you are 1 minute late, even if you call them beforehand. They have no empathy. They do care if you have an emergency. I do not recommend this shop. My experiences here have been beyond horrible. I will be reporting this company to the better business bureau. read more

I found 1 stop barber shop on Instagram, they tagged some pics with some good haircuts so I tried it out. It's been about 3 years now that Sara has been cutting my hair and since day one has done an amazing job. All she asks in return is for you to be on time for your appointments and that is totally understandable because the haircut at 1 stop barber shop is very well worth it. People are usually waiting to get a haircut because they don't make appointments, so your best bet is to call and make an appointment and be on time so nobody takes your spot. Came in here to try out a new spot to hopefully find a new barber. I drive all the way out to Richardson bi weekly and gas and mileage is getting crazy. I came in and asked the lady at the counter that if an appointment was needed and which barber was the most requested. She said no appointment was needed and said she actually was one of the best barbers their. I took a chance and got a cut with the LADY AT THE COUNTER. She basically lied to my face. She had no cosmetology license posted anywhere , while the other barbers next to me did. The barbers seemed to laugh when she started giving me a haircut. She did not know how to fade or cut hair it was an awful experience. Nonetheless she lied to me in my face after I asked her to set me up with the barber who is most requested, and I'm more than pissed that none of the other barbers stepped up and said nothing. I thought if you didnt make an appointment you're screwed, but found out even if u make an appointment you are still screwed especially if the girl at the desk screws up. She wasn't willing to own up to it so my option was to leave or wait around for hours to see if one of his appointments didnt show up all I was offered was a free haircut next time -which thier wont be- I wont be stopping here ever again.. what a way to accommodate a paying customer for a mix up in which he was not at fault. read more

I originally found this place on groupon. Been coming here since for over 2 years. Gabriel without fail did an amazing job every time. When I started, this place only charged $14 for a haircut, which was higher than the $12 I paid in Denton. But it was reasonable. Not they charge $18 for a haircut and with tip its over $20. And on top of that they stopped taking cards. Too much in my opinion. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because of Gabriel. Otherwise, for the price and inconvenience I do not recommend this place. read more

I booked and pre paid two appointments online for each one of my toddlers. I arrived 5 minutes late and I was asked if I had a an appointment. I said yes and asked for Gloria A and Diana H (one for each one of my kiddos). When she came up to me she was quick to inform me (with lots of attitude) that my appointment had been canceled. She said I would have to book with a different barber if I still wanted to get the service. She said it was the busiest day of the year for them and that I was too late (again, constantly pointing out that I was late). I estimate there were about 6 or 7 barbers working, and only 2 or 3 other patrons besides me. Based on her attitude and lack of professionalism right off the start I knew I did not want her cutting my boy's hair. My first question was, how does my money get refunded? She said it was non-refundable. My next words were, "I was 5 minutes late". She pulled out and switched on her phone and told me, "no you are 8 minutes late!" Like she hadn't been lecturing me for about 3 minutes leading up to that. When you book a service with this barbershop through the website, next to the price it will specify duration of the service. I purchased a kids edge up for my 2 year old for $15 and next to the price it said the duration would take approximately 30 minutes. I knew it would take ten minutes to clean his neck and side burns. My 4 year old needed the exact same service, plus he needed the dead ends in his bangs trimmed (that automatically makes the service a premium haircut, and I totally understand) I paid $23. Then I explained that my boys did not need fades they only needed a light clean up of the side burns and necks basically and it would only take 10-15 minute max. She stuck to the policy and told me I needed to book a different barber and pay the service again. The part that I have trouble comprehending is how they were totally ok taking for a service they did not perform and then having the wit to defend their posture with no regard for a client (as a person) or the situation. I know policies are in place and we have to abide in order to maintain order. I also know a little bit about customer service and business growth, and I know from experience that a little empathy and a little care sometimes can win you long time customers. I have been coming to the barbershop for a few months. The guy who cuts my hair is awesome and kills it every time but today I walked in after making an appointment with 2 different people. I left work and rushed over to make in time before his next appointment. When I got there I walked in and not one person had a clue what was going on and talked to me like I was dumb.
