As much as I'd like to gate keep this little hidden gem I won't because everyone needs to try this place. I did not do my research before so I had to order when I arrived and wait (they seem to really only do carry out). You order online and pickup at the window. It only took about 15-20 minutes and I was pleasantly surprised. Okay now the sushi...it is so good like really good. The fish on my rainbow roll was so cold and everything seemed so fresh. What an unexpected gem this place is! We were looking for a sushi place open on Thanksgiving day and this is one of the only places we could find open that also delivered. Everything arrived neatly organized and the right temperature. The staples like the miso soup and Crab Rangoon were delicious as were the rolls. We tried classics like the spicy tuna and some highly rated unconventional ones like the Tempura Asparagus roll. My favorite was the deep fried (and huge) Tokyo Fantasy Roll. I've had this sushi a few times prior to making my review. Every time the food has been fresh, prompt and properly prepared. The price is inline with other sushi restaurants. Got takeout from here and gotta say was pretty impressed. Came packed in an organized way that still looked pretty good. I got the sweet potato roll and Yummie Roll. Sweet potato had a nice crunchy feel. Textures just work. Great aftertaste of the potato after being initially greeted by the sauce strewn on top.. Yummie rolls cream cheese, crab and avocado complement well in a symphony of flavor. Was a pretty big roll I almost think it alone could fill you up. Only knock was that it was a bit pricey, could probably be close to as satisfied with some of the cheaper rolls they have. Will definitely order again from here. read more

Diamond in the rough for sure! I'm not gonna lie, I was not sure about this place at first. The name and not the location per se but when I went to pick up my order the neon sign was off, almost looked closed? Hmmm.... The place was small, takeout only clearly, the floor could have used a mopping, some lights and like even the most basic decor/a poster/big menu board would have made it more inviting. All that said? I dont care now. This place is FANTASTIC! I was skeptical, lets be clear this isn't Sado lol, but if you want some just really decent quality but not bougie straightforward takeout sushi this place has you covered and at a great price and with easy convenient fast takeout. This place reminds me of what Ai Sushi downtown USED to be like, or similar to Cafe Mochi but at a much cheaper price, honestly better menu options too, and better quality by far than the last few times I ordered from either of those places. There's really not too much I can write. The sushi, sashimi, and nigiri prices are fair. The rolls are creatively comparable to Cafe Mochi and Sushi Ai. And the flavors were on point. This place doesn't have anywhere to dine in and is in a weird part of town but it is AMAZING!!!!!! I got a roll that I've never seen anywhere else wrapped in coconut flakes and was the biggest roll I think I've ever seen. I'm not too particular about the size of sushi rolls but it was really surprising. The customer service was friendly, don't let the exterior scare you off. I usually order this for takeout. It is good sushi for the price! Lots of fish, but also a lot of rice. Out of all the sushi spots, I have gravitated towards the spot, the most! Total hidden gem. Very unassuming and really surprised me. I've eaten at every sushi/ramen spot in the city and this is by far the best. Owner/chef is very nice and the food is even nicer. I've found that most places these days offer "classic rolls" that are small and clearly inferior quality-wise to the special rolls menu. Not this place. The sushi here was good enough, the rangoons were fine but pretty standard and not much different than any other sushi place I've been to. I actually prefer the rangoonsfrom old St. Louis chop Suey. Four stars because they are clean, fast, friendly accurate and conveniently located. for starters because they didn't do anything wrong per se, but they didn't do anything to make themselves stand out above the competition. I might go here again, simply because the location is convenient for me and it's somewhere where you can get both crab rangoons and fresh sushi, and they offer delivery on all the apps, so they promise what the name suggests. however, I've had better sushi elsewhere in this city, but this is definitely not bad, and I wouldn't tell you not to go there, I just wouldn't tell you to go out of your way to go here either. read more
