One of my go-to spots! My favorite rolls are the Mr. Yagi and the Midtown Roll, which never disappoint. And when I'm not in the mood for sushi, their ramen is super solid as well. The service is really quick, especially for a place with limited seating so it's perfect if you're on a tight schedule. The staff is also really friendly, and there's parking on the left side of the building. Overall, it's a great spot for a quick lunch or dinner, especially if you're in the SLU area!

I was in town for the night and found this wonderful gem. I arrived about 1 hrs before closing, it's self-seating so I found an open booth. Clean dining area and chill vibes. Excellent service and my server was very knowledgeable about the menu. Ordered the spicy edamame, which delivered and the Spicy Midtown ramen, which lived up to the name. The broth was flavorful and it packed the perfect punch. Will definitely return if in the area again.

Great spot! Almost walked right past it because it looks vacant but it is definitely not, lol. We're seated immediately on a Sunday for lunch. Lots of tables and booths. Modern and clean inside. Expansive menu- lots of ramen options and you can build your own as well. Lots of sushi as well as chicken and pork entrees for those not into ramen or sushi. The chicken karaage don is amaze. Got mine with broccoli instead of rice, it comes with soup as well as a salad. Sushi was fresh and delish! Service was excellent and portions and pricing were fair. We will be back!

I'm a big sushi girl, I've been to a lot of places, this is by far the best sushi I've ever had. I can just tell they have insanely fresh ingredients and the sushi just tastes so much better here! Great service as well! Quick, attentive, and friendly. I highly suggest coming here. They have a parking lot right by it so no need to pay for parking or park on the street! I've suggested it to many friends and highly suggest it to you! Will be coming again and again.

This Is My Go To Ramen Restaurant In St Louis. I Took My Son, Grand Daughter And Son's Girlfriend To This Restaurant. Of Course This Was There First Time Visiting The Restaurant. They All Love That I Introduced Them To Midtown Sushi And Ramen Restaurant. The Service And Ambiance Is Five Star Quality.

I've been dying to try this spot since I've heard so many good things about it! Conveniently located in midtown with a good sized parking lot that's easy to get to! So many options for seating, tables booths & they can even accommodate for large parties it seems like! This menu is pretty big. Great options for apps & so many sushi & ramen options. I chose the Spicy Kimchi Ramen & it was wonderful! We also got the crab Rangoon which didn't disappoint & a couple rolls. The Philly roll + spicy crunchy tuna roll was great! Def recommend the stop by

Quiet low-key Ramen spot in Midtown. Wasn't crowded. The waitress was helpful and knowledgeable about explaining the menu and sake. The Ramen was good and I had the Goku sushi roll, which was also good. The karrage wasn't my fave.. I've had better.

Build your own ramen, shrimp tempura roll, Philly roll. Couldn't wait to dig in before we took the photo!

Nice little place. Definitely not fancy, but it's clean. We've been here a few times and always had a good experience. It can get crowded around the 6-630 range on a weekend. The food is very good and it's served quickly. They have a pretty extensive drink list. The servers have always been attentive and friendly. You will have to tell them to separate the check ahead of time if you don't want to get one big check for the whole party. They do take reservations through Google. Parking can be tricky if they are busy. There's a side lot, but it can get full, leaving only street parking.

Midtown Sushi and Ramen is one of my go-to sushi spots in STL! It also has Ramen so it can satisfy all! The selection of sushi and ramen is impressive. Despite my usual preference for non-fried rolls, I find myself consistently drawn to their Mr. Miyagi roll. It's my favorite! Save this and stop in and check them out!

Exactly what snow weather calls for. The ramen noodles and broth is amazing. The noodles taste fresh and homemade. The sushi was fresh and good.

    Birthday Dinner!

Came here to celebrate my sister's birthday. They don't take reservations but we were able to be seated quickly. Served greeted us and offered sake shots to celebrate! I appreciated her good customer service throughout dinner. She was very welcoming and helpful. We went on a Friday night and it was pretty busy. It can get a bit noisy at times due to the open concept of the space, but the tables are spaced out pretty well so you don't feel like you're packed in the restaurant. It's a pretty fast paced service so this is great for a quick lunch or nice dinner. And casual attire or even a little dressier works well here.

I've been wanting to come here for years. I'm a vegetarian and most ramen isn't vegetarian. This place is in the City and has veggie Ramen! It did not disappoint. Everything was as very good! The ramen was delicious. I've never had ramen (real ramen) and I loved it. The kimchi was probably my favorite thing I ate. Our avocado roll was very fresh and the spring rolls/dumplings were great. The service was good. You can sit at any open table and then are greeted by a server. Our server did forget to put in my Ramen but it came quickly after we alerted her we hadn't received it. Overall a great meal. I would definitely return.

We love Midtown and so does my 5 year old! The staff is always so friendly and accommodating all the while covering several tables! The ramen is delicious, even just the plain one my child gets. We love the variety of sushi rolls and appetizers. I haven't tried entrees yet because we tend to order agedashi tofu, another appetizer and rolls.

How authentic is this place? I could not find any menma on the topping list

Very authentic and vey good. Had the Hakata (Tonkotsu) Ramen. I had bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, mushroom, red ginger, corn, egg, and pork belly. I think maybe green onions as well. Broth and pork belly were full of flavor. Noodles done right.

When we pulled up, there was a line but it moved quicker than we thought. Once we got inside, we were both surprised at how small it was. While I've yet to go to Japan, it def gives off the vibe strictly from ambiance and the decor. It's small but intimate and offers seats at the "bar", as well as communal seating. We didn't get a choice and were sat at the bar. Ordering is done through the QR code and water is offered self-serve. We split an order of the appetizers: house cucumbers and karaage. I'm not a huge cucumber fan but I tried it. I preferred the one with miso as I found it to be more subtle in taste. The chicken was average and didn't wow me. We each got the chicken shoyu with no pork, no scallions and an extra egg. It felt like it took a long time to get our food. We were both surprised once we got it as we were expecting actual chicken pieces but after rereading the menu description, it was chicken oil. He was a bit disappointed as both our dishes were covered in scallions. I suggested we not send it back since it took quite a while to get our food and they were close to closing. Nevertheless, I found the broth to be tasty and full of flavor despite there being no meat. Overall, it was a solid first visit.

I think…read morethere may not be enough seating for its customer demand... that's a sign of a popular place. Happy hour prices + the food quality are what had my friend invite me here. Some rolls are half off and so are a few beverages, like hot sake. I had never had hot sake. I've only had any sake once. I liked it fine, but I didn't want a second order after I finished the first. I was disappointed that Robata was out of plum wine. Instead I ordered what was described as a white sangria, but it tasted more like a brandy. I had a few sips and gave it to my friend. I had 4 vegetarian sushi rolls. Only the asparagus was included with happy hour. My 3 other rolls were takuan, pickle plum and BB. As much as I like plum (keep reading), and takuan was a pleasant surprise, and the asparagus was good, the BB, which has tempura asparagus, cream cheese, and sweet soy, was my favorite item of the evening. I was happy to see umeboshi onigiri on the lengthy menu. These were of a good size, but I think it perhaps would have benefitted from a higher pickled plum to rice ratio. (The only time I've had it has been from a food truck and I don't know how representative it is of onigiri.) Each order of food took a while to come out. My friend had trouble getting the server's attention when she wanted to put in more orders. Robata is not a place for a quick happy hour bite. It's going to take a while, especially if you're ordering in multiple rounds like we did. When the kitchen got too busy, my order another roll was denied. That happened well before dinner service ended and it was disappointing. I would have waited a bit longer. But it was probably good to get cut off from sushi at some point. We were a little confused by the bills. My friend may have overpaid (not gotten happy hour price) for some of her items, and there was some question about whether mine had been billed correctly, but in the end we decided that mine was probably correct. Hers, though... we aren't sure. I think I'll return to Robata for the BB roll, plum wine, and maybe something new, but I will be sure to have plenty of time, order a bunch all at once, and check the bill.

I came with a friend for happy hour. We got the half off sushi (which included the mackerel nigiri, which is my FAVORITE (Tho, theirs isn't as good as Sushi Hanna in Alton)) and house hot sake, which was perfect for this freezing week. The heat was out? Which the waitress apologized for. They had a space heater out, so we sat right by that. I also ordered a few of the onigiri to go. They aren't the best I've had, but I'll probably be back semi-regularly to get my fix of the flavor, which is just so unique. Same for half off mackerel Maybe one day I'll even try their non-sushi offerings...
