I have lived in Bend since the '90's and have been to this location more times than I can count since it opened. Tonight was a different experience. We sat at the bar and had immediate service, ordering a tasting flight, which was delivered immediately and we're off to a great start to the evening. It then took another 20-25 minutes before our server came back to ask if we wanted food. She didn't check in on us again. Another server noticed us sitting there staring and trying to get her attention and he asked if we needed a to-go box and gave us our bill. We had planned to order another round of drinks, but after almost 30 minutes of sitting there without any interaction from our server, we decided against it. Our original server was too busy flirting with and giving a comp meal and three beers to a patron sitting next to us. Do better. read more

Super great place to visit with friends. Good beer, a nice array of options. Our server was super sweet and very attentive (not to the point of it being annoying because I know that exists too). It was a super busy night but we still got our drinks and food within a shorter time than most places nowadays. The shrimp was fantastic, not a huge portion but it was amazing. The chicken sandwhich was fine, I'd recommend trying other things first. The steak and blue cheese nachos where otherworldly. And SO HUGE. I had the fish and chips and it was a child size portion. For years I only ever been to the west side location. I was pleasantly surprised at the eastside location! The staff were amazing, we had great service for our large group. The menu was larger. Bend, OR is well known for their breweries - which can make finding a spot that has room for you difficult on a holiday weekend, on top of there being a pandemic. 10 Barrel (east) had call-ahead over the phone which made this super easy. The concierge even took my consideration for a spot with shade into account. I got a couple texts once my table was ready and walked right in upon arrival. The beers are delicious and there are a variety. Everyone has their own tastes in beer, but I would recommend this place highly. As for the food, we got the Brisket Sandwich and the Burger. The Burger was a classic gastropub burger, about 1/3 lb of meat with all the fixings. Well seasoned and quite the gut-bomb if you're really hungry. Just like our server said upon recommending the Brisket Sandwich, it was really nice if you're looking for a strong smokey flavor. With COVID, eating at a restaurant made me very anxious. Would we be too close to other tables? What about the food? Would people be observing social distance? I will say: 10 Barrel is probably the best example I've seen of a restaurant going above and beyond. In what usually would be a packed restaurant space, tables were more than 6 feet apart, both inside and out. Windows / doors were fully open. There were one-way lanes within the restaurant to help ensure a flow of people that could be better controlled. The bathrooms had clear signs about capacity. Every server had a mask on. There was a contactless option for payment as well, using your phone and a QR code. Valerie, our server, had her mask on the entire time and even without seeing it, I could tell she was smiling. All in all, this was a great experience from reservation, eating and drinking, and all the way through payment. read more

10 Barrel pulled some bait and switch this year at the Redmond fair and expo. They decided to serve Bud Light as "the deschutes fair Lagar . I asked what kind of beer it was and they said they deschutes brewery, lager... come to find out it was coming right out of a Bud Light keg also served in a bud light cup.! You lost my business for life 10 barrel! Never again will you get a single dollar from me or my family. I hope your bait and switch $8 Bud light was worth a lifetime of business loss! read more

I came in with my boyfriend, and ordered their special Fine Swine Flatbread. This flatbread is my favorite that my family makes on occasion so I was super excited. I'm no Karen or nothing, I've never even left a review before, but it was TERRIBLE. The honey was extremely overwhelming to the point that I was just trying to pick the meat off, but even that was covered in honey. The service as well was not good. I saw our waitress maybe twice, and she never asked if we wanted any more water or anything, Maybe I'm being petty but this place is overrated. 10 Barrel is one of the mainstays in the Bend brewery/brewpub scene, deservedly so. Their west-side joint is a fine spot to drink and eat, and 10 B's beer is among the best, although that's obviously very subjective. This east-side joint is more of the same. - Good bar, easy and comfortable. They have outlets under the bar for laptops but lack hooks for bags, etc. The rest of the bar area is populated with well-spaced tables, if you're not a bar rat. With a fine outside patio (dog friendly), you have plenty of seating options. - Service at the bar is fine. I haven't had to wait more than a few nanoseconds before being presented with menus and have my beer order filled. - Great beer. Top five in Bend. Quite a few brews suit my taste, including a nice black IPA (more breweries should make black IPAs). - No happy hour? Unusual for Bend. Food: - Korean BBQ wings: well prepared but very sweet. Too sweet. Korean BBQ does tend towards the sweet side but generally not this much. - Winter salad: solid. - Fish & chips: also solid. Fries are decent but could be a touch crisper. Comes with cole slaw but only a tiny amount. I like cole slaw and want more. - Could be a bit more vegetarian friendly. For example, why add cured meat to the Brussels sprouts? Or the asparagus? Both could be vegetarian, which would result in my wife wanting to come here more often. - Is parking an issue? I think maybe so. On each visit, the lot out front was all but full (one or two spaces left), yet the bar was not very busy at all. Are the corporate people parking in the front lot? Where do customers park when this place gets jammed? - So far, it hasn't been too loud in the bar. Which is good, because excessively loud music - to the point where conversation is difficult - tends to make me want to turn around at the door. This is a larger location than the West Side Bend, so I typically have better luck at this location getting a seat. Food is always consistently good and beer changes often and there usually is something for everyone. They also have some good cocktails and wine if you aren't a beer person. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming with great/quick service. Super easy parking at this location as well since they have a pretty large parking lot. Plenty of outdoor seating on a nice day too! read more

The food/drinks and ambience were excellent. However we sat at the bar and the bartenders could definitely use some improvement with their customer service skills. It wasn't super busy and yet we were somewhat ignored by the two bartenders. We ordered two drinks and a pizza which were great. When the pizza arrived that was pretty much when the service ended. No check ins, no " how is everything", no "can I get you anything else"- both my husband and I would have liked another drink yet they never asked us. Luckily the busser came by to clear our plates and offered us water, which we greatly appreciated. East vs west location is fully based on desired vibe. East is an industrial vibe with larger seating, which is why we went there. The beers are always great and easy drinking, and less "pivoting" than somewhere like Deschuttes. The food...SO GOOD! Good pub food isn't a common thing in Seattle, but 10 Barrell was amazing. The grilled shrimp and cauliflower salad was summer in your mouth. Pair with a sour beer and you won't want anything else! The fish and chips were lightly/perfectly battered. Pork skewers were moist and well seasoned. The bread pudding dessert was also the best we've ever had. I don't care how full you are...get it! read more

Have really noticed a change in the last year with these big guys. Was great to have this place open on the NE side but service and quality of their beer have taken a back seat to big business. They used to brew smaller batches of interesting one off beers but I just don't see that much anymore. Pizza and fish and chips are still good but they need some new items on the menu. Heard that they are about to expand the brewery portion. They really need to expand the parking area and add another urinal in the men's room. Honestly who builds a new brew pub with one urinal. I have been to 10 Barrel in Portland multiple times and I already know they are good , so we decided to check this place out when we were in Bend. We were immediately seated in spite of the big crowd but it took some time for our orders to be placed and the food to actually arrive. They had one of the best gf pizza I have had in a long time and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for GF options here . I had a wine and everyone else in our party tried their beer. The general opinion was that the tasting menu lacks variety and there are more of the same kinds present. Nevertheless, their beer menu is extensive and I believe there is something for all kinds of beer lovers .Their is a nice outside area with a fire pit and the parking is ample and the service good. read more

We came here for lunch. Service here was good and quick. Our waitress was nice.Unfortunately they don't have any of my sodas that I like so I just got an iced tea. My Dad ordered fried pickles which turned out really good. The batter was panko breading so they were super crispy. I loved the spicy sauce that came with it. It was like a spicy mayo. For our entree we got the combo pizza. I split it with my Mom and brother. The pizza here was great. Their crust is made fresh daily and you could taste it. The dough was surprisingly light and airy. The combo pizza was really good. The topping were really fresh too. Although I like button mushrooms on my pizza more than portobello. I used the restroom here once and it was pretty nice. They even had custom ten barrel locks on the stalls which was cool. They give lots of attention to detail here. For dessert we ordered the perfiderols. They turned out great.
