I stopped in for a beer and to meet a friend I haven't seen in years. I bypassed the host stand and went to the bar but it was packed. The high tops were also packed so I back tracked and sat at the family style shared table. Even though I skipped the host the server was on it and super friendly. He picked up my drink order and got me a menu. I'll be honest I decided to skip the food after looking at the menu. It looks like most other brew pub menus and I just wasn't in the mood. It's probably great but just not what I wanted. The beer however was spot on. I ordered a secret sauce number 8. Secret sauce 8 was soooo good. Well rounded and the abv was fairly low for an IPA. I love IPAs but after two I feel drunk so this was perfect having a lite but well rounded IPA. Too bad I forgot my growler. read more

10 Barrel was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. It was refreshing that every staff member made sure you were taken care of. We had finished plates picked up seconds after setting them aside. I am not a beer drinker do to food allergies. However, I had the most amazing local Malbec here. I always loved a place that balances both great beer and great wine, which is sorely lacking in most areas. The food was amazing. I had the steak & Gorgonzola nachos. They we're to die for! All their meat is local and the chips were freshly made with their own seasoning. All in all one of the best experiences I've had ever. read more

This place seems to have a magic formula of pretty good pub food (shrimp tacos with lime) and absolutely great beer (try the wheat IPA on nitro for a smooth, frothy experience) and nice ambiance. This is the classic low key neighborhood spot with dogs, families and friends hanging out, drinking good beer and eating good, simple food. Great design elements in the restaurant, from the typography, to the dining room elements --just a nice look and feel overall to this spot. I understand its popular and can get very crowded, but we had no wait. Great use of railroad spikes, by the way, as a fencing element which seems to fit in nicely with the history of Bend. You guys had me with female Brewmaster. It was just uphill from there after tasting the beer. Kudos. read more

Maybe it is just the big changes but I have been around Bend for many years and have followed the birth of 10 Barrel. Congrats and selling the business and it makes no difference to me but I have just never been a fan of their new place. The food is fine, not great just okay and a standard stright-up menu with inflated prices which is normal for Bend when not in a recession. Most of the people there on a busy night are loud, not my crowd, and seem to be there because they perceive it is the hip local place to be? I doono it is just a restaurant with okay food and good beer and a DUI favorite. The wait staff however does always seem into it so that's entertaining if that rocks your boat. If you're a touron you have to visit, take a selfie, sit by the fire pit, buy a hat, drink a beer, and hang out but for me there are better places to enjoy. read more

THIS PLACE IS A MUST! Nice atmosphere and great service. But their beers and burgers definitely take the golden medal, along with our wonderful server Derek. I cannot begin to explain to you how good their burgers were. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that both me and my boyfriend talked about how those might have been the best burgers we've ever had! Came back literally the next day for more! If you're in the area, stop by and ask for Derek and do yourself a favor and just get the d*mn burger! read more

Fantastic food and brews! Started off with several sour beers and loved them! Todd's A Surfer was the best! The Jaca pizza was terrific! Crust was just right! Not too thick or thin. Maybe it was the long hike before but our burgers were some of the best we'd ever had! Pictured left: the impossible burger and right, the regular burger. Both fries and caesar salad were 10/10. I am constantly amazed at the wonderful brewery community Bend is! Well let me tell you, 10 barrel lives up to the great standards that have been set. Whether you are sitting on the porch soaking up the sun or sitting inside, you are guaranteed to have a good time. The service here is excellent. Your server is not the only one that pays attention to you. Any worker walking by that sees you have an empty glass or food plate they will clear it and ask if you want more! Not many places do this! I really enjoyed my meal and my Coastal Whip brew on Nitro. I would go back everyday if I could! Bottom line-- Grab a bear and a snack, sit on the deck next to the fire, and enjoy the atmosphere! I mean what other town can you hang out at breweries all day and not be judged?! read more

We visited 10 Barrel twice on our visit to Bend. The first visit was mid afternoon and we had a late lunch and beer. We enjoyed the paradise peach salad and veggie fritters for a snack. The staff was able to help us pick beer we enjoyed. We may have ended up buying extra Last Blockbuster Black Ale to take home. ... The second visit was a late dinner after a long day of biking. We had the Italian Pizza and Pinot. Both were tasty. Both trips, the vibe was super chill with everyone hanging out around the fire. There were well behaved dogs on the patio. read more

I ordered the blue goat burger (beef burger, has goat cheese on it) which was the best burger I have had in a long time. My husband had the foghorn leghorn chicken sandwich which was very good also. My daughter has the kids chicken strips which was very tiny. They were very busy that night and we had to wait a long time for a table but got to sit outside by the fire with our beers which was nice. read more

I seriously think there isn't one bad restaurant in Bend. The atmosphere here was reallynice and I love when places have globe string lights hanging outside on the patio (Romantic). It had a modern yet cozy feel to it but it was a little chilly at night so bring a jacket. The chairs were surprisingly heavy and forced me to become a gentlemen and pull my lady's chair out for her (It made me look really good lol). As for the food, we ordered pizza and a salad which was delightful but they didn't have plain pizza dough so we ordered it with the gluten free dough and it was just as good. We tried to go here the last time we were in Bend, but the crowds turned us away. This time we arrived early enough for seats. It's a great space - love the outside seats at the bar. Barkeeps are very friendly and helpful, offering samples of beer. I settled on the Apocalypse IPA, which is pretty solid. The nitro version, not so much. - Margarita pizza excellent. - Smoked salmon salad excellent. Dog friendly patio. This place can get loud from all the people but the music isn't blaring. Street parking, but I guess that's the thing in Bend. Recommended - one of the better brewpubs, and that says something in these parts. read more

Would have liked to have eaten and drank here but their time estimates where way off. We were told initially one hour, then at 1 hour we were told another 30 minutes, then after 40 minutes another 20 then finally after 2 hours of waiting we were told sorry "we can't estimate how long it will take for people to eat." Apparently not. Then they said maybe another 20 minutes. It's now 2.5 hours and no table. We left and are still waiting for a text. I understand COVID-19 has impacted businesses but we've been to dozens of restaurants in last few weeks all practicing safe social distancing (less tables) and none have been anywhere close to this far off in their seating estimates. read more

This place was so packed when we went on a Saturday for lunch. We waited about 30 minutes for takeout, which is not bad considering how busy they were. As for the food, the wings and the nachos were great. The portions were decently sized and the dishes had great flavor. read more

What a cool place! Lots of food and beer options! We opted for the coastal trip beer and a personal pizza the hack-a! The pizza comes with a garlic cream base, sausage, pep, jalapeno, and pineapple. It was very tasty and it also came with a salad with creamy gorgonzola dressing. It was a great atmosphere and awesome service! Ok food is ok service is good and beer is good and actually open unlike the other awful places that close early in this town so why 2 Star!? Only had outdoor seating available and it's night 55F with breeze and very cold with zero heaters! I asked the hostess why no heaters and she actually said it never gets cold at night!!! Coming from the San Francisco Bay Area where Michelin starred restaurants are plenty. This place is freaking awesome. The brews and the food are all so delish! And they have a good outdoor space that's open during COVID. We were here are in July and their menu was still amazing. We had the fish and chips, the stramboli French dip and the reuben. All were scrumptious. The appetizer - steak gorgonzola nachos were absolutely ridiculous. We wanted to order another to take home. Luv this place! Highly recommend!! read more

Excellent drinks, excellent service- this brewery does it right! Their selection of drink options was great. Two people in our group are sour beer fanatics and loved all 3 that 10 Barrel offered. They even got a growler of the Bob Exotic to go- a great deal for $12. As the resident celiac friend in the group, I was thrilled with the gluten free options. I didn't see a gf beer, but they had plenty of canned cocktails, so I went with the peach hard iced tea. So refreshing in this heat! This place has great outdoor seating and is dog friendly. They're diligent with all necessary Covid precautions. And the service was everything you could ask for. We were lucky to get Katie as our server, and she was fantastic! I'm so happy we were able to get a reservation here during our vacation in Bend. The staff did a perfect job. The food was great. We started with the large house salad. It was tossed in a basil mint vinaigrette. We also had the margherita pizza. It was topped with fresh tomato slices which made it absolutely delicious. I started with a pub beer and then tried the imperial raspberry rose. The Rose was so smooth and delicious we ended buying a growler of it. Highly recommend!! read more

The least customer friendly restaurant we've been to in a while. They have a ton of seating but you can't sit certain places unless you order certain things so we were told to move twice. My husband ended up having to stand against a wall because the only place we were allowed to sit was in the bar inside. They also gave us free drink tokens at an event earlier that day which were not honored at the bar. I do not recommend this place as there's plenty of other breweries in the surrounding area. read more

Interesting to note, it's like all the beer drinker mt bike folks that used to all come here years ago just happened to grow up and have kids at once, so now it definitely has a very kids playground scene, but I still think it's cool here. (Just go inside to avoid the mayhem. lol!) It's sweet that they create a fun environment outside there. A suggestion maybe would be create a small section outside. that's a no kid table for sunshine and drinking too. ;) it looks like they're making good use of their space. I noticed many changes since the last visit. Looks like they have a party room you could rent, lots of fun well designed swag for purchase, ect. Her disdainful reply, looking at it, was "well, that's a lot of pepper." The pepper wasn't the problem, and being snide to a customer who hadn't complained or asked for anything despite my disappointment in the dish was unnecessary and rude. On the plus side, the beer was good and what I expect from Deschutes. Given that there are a bunch of brewery restaurants within a few blocks, I would have expected more flavorful food and absolutely a better experience with the staff.

They have an event space with its own bar, and a pinball machine collection. They have bar, table, and outdoor seating too. The bartenders were funny and very welcoming. The beer is excellent and worth stopping for a few flights or pints. They also have an incredible deal for full pours on certain days. Prices super reasonable for the quality. If you're a beer fan, I highly recommend this brewery.

We chose to sit inside for lunch and had wonderful table service. The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and exactly what we were looking for. After we finished eating, we weren't quite ready to leave, so we grabbed a spot in the outdoor seating area to watch one of the World Cup matches. It ended up being the perfect way to spend the afternoon while our 4-year-old burned off some energy running around before we headed to the airport. Great food, great beer, great service, and a fantastic outdoor space that made us want to linger. They do have a larger brewery downtown but we both liked the vibe of this place. My husband I both went for a pint of the Diablo Red. We both enjoy a red brew and they are hard to come by. Everyone is looking for the magic IPA, but those beers just aren't for us. We had a great time enjoying the afternoon on a warm September day in Bend drinking this beer.

It was obvious the organizers knew what they were doing. The venue had a small bar inside so you didn't have to go to the main building to grab a drink. Outside, between the two buildings there were nice seating areas alongside fire pits and access to multiple food trucks. There was even a third stage in the outside area that must be used in warmer weather. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely come back!

The meal was supposed to include brussel sprouts but came with a grilled broccoli cauliflower assortment instead. My wife had the Scallop Risotto which was also a great recommendation from the server. In reality, The Hook & Plow deserved 3 1/2 stars but that's not an option on Yelp. It may have been an off night for the staff, so I will give them the benefit of doubt. We would be open to trying it again sometime in the future.
