Maybe it is just the big changes but I have been around Bend for many years and have followed the birth of 10 Barrel. Congrats and selling the business and it makes no difference to me but I have just never been a fan of their new place. The food is fine, not great just okay and a standard stright-up menu with inflated prices which is normal for Bend when not in a recession. Most of the people there on a busy night are loud, not my crowd, and seem to be there because they perceive it is the hip local place to be? I doono it is just a restaurant with okay food and good beer and a DUI favorite. The wait staff however does always seem into it so that's entertaining if that rocks your boat. If you're a touron you have to visit, take a selfie, sit by the fire pit, buy a hat, drink a beer, and hang out but for me there are better places to enjoy. read more

We came for an appetizer and beer tasting around 2pm on a Friday. It wasn't too busy though there were definitely plenty of people there. We were able to sit outside. I like how kid friendly it is and that they give you crayons and paper to get them occupied. We tried the 10 samples for $10 and I think this is a VERY fair deal. All the beers were really good. I really enjoyed Joe IPA which looks like they sell in cans. They had lots of very interesting beers though too and also a cider. We had their famous steak and fries nachos. We shared this three ways and we were STUFFED for hours. We were surprised how long it kept us full. We would definitely come back in the future. read more

Great beer and drinks, burger and tofu chorizo were over cooked and our total time there was close to 3 hours. Over an hour of waiting for a table, about an hour to get our food and then our actual eating time. Will come back next time for drinks but not for food. The ambiance and vibes of this place are great but not the food. read more

We've always been big fans of Brother Jon's across the street from here. We hadn't been there since the pandemic began but were going to give them a try. Big mistake. The place was not only packed but there didn't seem to be any measures at all being taken to minimize possible infections. The tables have always been closely spaced and as far as I could tell they had done nothing to increase separation. We left and hit up 10 Barrel across the street. Got to give these guys a big 5 star review. People were spread out appropriately, staff was fully masked and most importantly the food was perfect. Best burger I have had in ages. My wife's pizza was 5 star also. read more

I stopped in for a beer and to meet a friend I haven't seen in years. I bypassed the host stand and went to the bar but it was packed. The high tops were also packed so I back tracked and sat at the family style shared table. Even though I skipped the host the server was on it and super friendly. He picked up my drink order and got me a menu. I'll be honest I decided to skip the food after looking at the menu. It looks like most other brew pub menus and I just wasn't in the mood. It's probably great but just not what I wanted. The beer however was spot on. I ordered a secret sauce number 8. Secret sauce 8 was soooo good. Well rounded and the abv was fairly low for an IPA. I love IPAs but after two I feel drunk so this was perfect having a lite but well rounded IPA. Too bad I forgot my growler. read more

Beer was good. Even gave a free flight to our friend who was celebrating a birthday! I ordered a burger and fries. Not once but TWICE and they still could not get it right. The medium well burger came out bloody and cold in the middle. Sent it back as they were happy to remake it for us. While the rest of our group were enjoying their meal I waited only to be served another VERY RARE burger that was supposed to come out medium well! Fries were good but only because that is the only thing we had to eat and were very hungry. They did offer to cook another burger but we declined. 10 Barrel was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. It was refreshing that every staff member made sure you were taken care of. We had finished plates picked up seconds after setting them aside. I am not a beer drinker do to food allergies. However, I had the most amazing local Malbec here. I always loved a place that balances both great beer and great wine, which is sorely lacking in most areas. The food was amazing. I had the steak & Gorgonzola nachos. They we're to die for! All their meat is local and the chips were freshly made with their own seasoning. All in all one of the best experiences I've had ever. read more

Got sick! Be careful ordering take out. My son and I ordered the 10 Barrel Burgers. We both spent all night sick with stomach cramps and the obvious accompanying symptoms. Will not be back and would not recommend. read more

The environment and staff were very nice. Food took a lot longer than we expected to come out. I got the maple fried chicken sandwich and wasn't very impressed. The chicken was over cooked (it was dark brown) and the sandwich was dry. Needed more sauce in my opinion. My brother got the fish sandwich and said it was mediocre. Wings, pizza, fries and drinks were good. read more

THIS PLACE IS A MUST! Nice atmosphere and great service. But their beers and burgers definitely take the golden medal, along with our wonderful server Derek. I cannot begin to explain to you how good their burgers were. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that both me and my boyfriend talked about how those might have been the best burgers we've ever had! Came back literally the next day for more! Fantastic food and brews! Started off with several sour beers and loved them! Todd's A Surfer was the best! The Jaca pizza was terrific! Crust was just right! Not too thick or thin. I seriously think there isn't one bad restaurant in Bend. The atmosphere here was reallynice and I love when places have globe string lights hanging outside on the patio (Romantic). It had a modern yet cozy feel to it but it was a little chilly at night so bring a jacket. The chairs were surprisingly heavy and forced me to become a gentlemen and pull my lady's chair out for her (It made me look really good lol). As for the food, we ordered pizza and a salad which was delightful but they didn't have plain pizza dough so we ordered it with the gluten free dough and it was just as good. We tried to go here the last time we were in Bend, but the crowds turned us away. This time we arrived early enough for seats. It's a great space - love the outside seats at the bar. Barkeeps are very friendly and helpful, offering samples of beer. I settled on the Apocalypse IPA, which is pretty solid. The nitro version, not so much. - Margarita pizza excellent. - Smoked salmon salad excellent. Dog friendly patio. This place can get loud from all the people but the music isn't blaring. Street parking, but I guess that's the thing in Bend. Recommended - one of the better brewpubs, and that says something in these parts. read more

I am constantly amazed at the wonderful brewery community Bend is! Well let me tell you, 10 barrel lives up to the great standards that have been set. Whether you are sitting on the porch soaking up the sun or sitting inside, you are guaranteed to have a good time. The service here is excellent. Your server is not the only one that pays attention to you. Any worker walking by that sees you have an empty glass or food plate they will clear it and ask if you want more! Not many places do this! I really enjoyed my meal and my Coastal Whip brew on Nitro. I would go back everyday if I could! Bottom line-- Grab a bear and a snack, sit on the deck next to the fire, and enjoy the atmosphere! We visited 10 Barrel twice on our visit to Bend. The first visit was mid afternoon and we had a late lunch and beer. We enjoyed the paradise peach salad and veggie fritters for a snack. The staff was able to help us pick beer we enjoyed. We may have ended up buying extra Last Blockbuster Black Ale to take home. ... The second visit was a late dinner after a long day of biking. We had the Italian Pizza and Pinot. Both were tasty. Both trips, the vibe was super chill with everyone hanging out around the fire. There were well behaved dogs on the patio. read more

Would have liked to have eaten and drank here but their time estimates where way off. We were told initially one hour, then at 1 hour we were told another 30 minutes, then after 40 minutes another 20 then finally after 2 hours of waiting we were told sorry "we can't estimate how long it will take for people to eat." Apparently not. Then they said maybe another 20 minutes. It's now 2.5 hours and no table. We left and are still waiting for a text. I understand COVID-19 has impacted businesses but we've been to dozens of restaurants in last few weeks all practicing safe social distancing (less tables) and none have been anywhere close to this far off in their seating estimates. read more

What a cool place! Lots of food and beer options! We opted for the coastal trip beer and a personal pizza the hack-a! The pizza comes with a garlic cream base, sausage, pep, jalapeno, and pineapple. It was very tasty and it also came with a salad with creamy gorgonzola dressing. It was a great atmosphere and awesome service! I ordered the blue goat burger (beef burger, has goat cheese on it) which was the best burger I have had in a long time. My husband had the foghorn leghorn chicken sandwich which was very good also. My daughter has the kids chicken strips which was very tiny. They were very busy that night and we had to wait a long time for a table but got to sit outside by the fire with our beers which was nice. read more

Only had outdoor seating available and it's night 55F with breeze and very cold with zero heaters! I asked the hostess why no heaters and she actually said it never gets cold at night!!! Coming from the San Francisco Bay Area where Michelin starred restaurants are plenty. This place is freaking awesome. The brews and the food are all so delish! And they have a good outdoor space that's open during COVID. We were here are in July and their menu was still amazing. We had the fish and chips, the stramboli French dip and the reuben. All were scrumptious. The appetizer - steak gorgonzola nachos were absolutely ridiculous. We wanted to order another to take home. Luv this place! Highly recommend!! read more

Excellent drinks, excellent service- this brewery does it right! Their selection of drink options was great. Two people in our group are sour beer fanatics and loved all 3 that 10 Barrel offered. They even got a growler of the Bob Exotic to go- a great deal for $12. As the resident celiac friend in the group, I was thrilled with the gluten free options. I didn't see a gf beer, but they had plenty of canned cocktails, so I went with the peach hard iced tea. So refreshing in this heat! This place has great outdoor seating and is dog friendly. They're diligent with all necessary Covid precautions. And the service was everything you could ask for. We were lucky to get Katie as our server, and she was fantastic! I'm so happy we were able to get a reservation here during our vacation in Bend. The staff did a perfect job. The food was great. We started with the large house salad. It was tossed in a basil mint vinaigrette. We also had the margherita pizza. It was topped with fresh tomato slices which made it absolutely delicious. I started with a pub beer and then tried the imperial raspberry rose. The Rose was so smooth and delicious we ended buying a growler of it. Highly recommend!! read more

That room is equipped with restrooms, relieving one of my major complaints about a lack of facilities, as well as a second serving station complete with taps. Since then, Crux has significantly changed the outdoor area as well although I'm not certain it's an upgrade. It's a little too landscaped and way too much like a playground now. Locals have always tended to refer to Crux as 'daycare but with beer.' The last several times I've come here, the second serving station has not been in operation even though it looks to be still fully functional. Meanwhile the line to the bar serving stations is often long, sometimes almost out the door. Not sure why that is, doesn't make sense to have the capacity to more efficiently serve customers but not use it. All that said, the beer is still stellar and they continue to have a wide range of beer choices, the new(ish) large room has plentiful high-top seating (mobility challenged folks will need to venture outside), and the music is kept below ear-splitting volume. You can also sit at the bar itself although the vibe there isn't great - it's not like a neighborhood pub bar. Crux still has a kitchen. I used to order directly from them but have since transitioned to patronizing one of the several food carts outside. Being food carts, they tend to come and go so I'll not go into detail there. That said, the new Alpine Smash burger is fabulous. The other significant change in recent years has been with the location. A dispute with the property owners to the west resulted in the access road that way being closed, requiring Crux patrons to use the road coming from Second/Scott Street (or ride a bike). The west road is now open, maybe because the Jackstraw housing complex over that way is now completed and the road serves their tenants. RIP Spoken Moto.

I want to give a higher rating but I feel like for how big of a tourist attraction this is the business should be able to find a more accommodating building. We waited almost two hours for a table, which isn't a huge deal when you don't mind waiting and you can drink a cold brew during the wait, but 2 hours for a table for most others is way to long. The first time we were here we had the cheeseburger pizza which was amazing. After raving about it to everyone we could we brought some family back to try it out while they were in town, we ordered it again and weren't as impressed. Thinking it must have been a fluke and being mindful that everyone has an off night now and then we returned with friends who wanted to try the brewery out. The pizza recipe must have changed. How could you give this less than 5 stars? We had such a great experience here. The food and beer were top notch. Super dog Freindly. Everyone had their dog and all the dogs were social. The people were too. Very East to talk to strangers here. We sat w a guy named Dave who was very cool. He got the fire going for us. We had the Margherita pizza, Nachos ans Mac & Cheese with the sampler of beer. Since we planned to take food and a growler w us the bill was $75. Well worth the price. We were in Bend visiting family and decided to have lunch at 10 Barrel Brewing and man am I glad we did! I wish I had gotten the name of the host and the server that took care of us because they were GREAT!! The host was soooooo beyond accommodating in moving our large group (with a toddler) from a sunny table outside to one with more shade and our server took such great care of us! The food was amazing and the beers... to find a place that had a dark German Dunkel... I was in heaven!!! 10 Barrel Brewing thank you for helping make a special weekend with family even better!!! I have been here twice and both times there was a 30 minute wait for a table but I was able to find seating at the bar. The bar is great with a beautiful indoor/outdoor experience. Lovely in the summertime. Beer is delicious! BUT, a little too much testosterone behind the bar. Chill out guys, it's just a bar! The overall design of the space is pretty great. Only reason I rate a 3 is because 10 barrel is a bunch of sell outs owned by people looking to only get rich. That being said I really love the food and will continue to come back for more fantastic dinners. The beer is also incredible. Now let's get to the good stuff. The service was awesome, we sat at the bar and had a wonderful waiter who made some great Bloody Marys and kept the beers coming when we ordered. Food: my wife got the chicken fried steak and eggs, it was good. I got the biscuits and gravy and let me tell ya those biscuits were so soft and good and that gravy was amazing. We really enjoyed our food and when we come back to visit we will definitely stop by again.

We came on a night where they had open mic comedy. It wasn't great standup but it was fun, a good community, and I did laugh a little. The food was pretty good. I had the fried chicken which was juicy and really crispy. The greens are really good, fatty, smoky, and tender. The mac and cheese, however, was a disappointment-the sauce was grainy and lacked cheese flavor.
