I've had Igor do four jobs for me and they turned out great on the fifth job it was a $40,000 bathroom quartzite job and they cut the hole for the diverter valve too big for the diverter valve plate I told Igor we have three options, replace the slab and cut the hole in the right spot or I could have it replaced and bill you or I could allow you to put a larger diverter valve plate in its place, which I really didn't want to do because it would look out proportion next to the main shower valve plate, which was part of the shower hardware. we agreed that Igor would replace the tile countertops in the hall bathroom as compensation for this allowance we shook hands. He measured the surfaces and told me we would do it in January. I called in January and Igor reneged on his promise. He then proceeded to tell me this was my fault that the hole was in the wrong place and that I was a liar. I seriously resent that as I am not now nor have. I ever been a liar, very unprofessional, so if you plan to proceed with Apex Marble N Granit, make damn sure everything is in writing because if something goes wrong they may end up blaming you for any screwup they made My suggestion is save yourself the headache, and hire someone else read more

Apex got me out of a pinch! I had ordered granite for 2 bathrooms from another company, but after they failed to fully install the first countertop, I decided to call Apex. I spoke with Ben and he promptly responded to my request and put together a bid to use the material I had on hand (I'm sure this is not the norm). The bid was reasonable given the fact I was asking him to finish someone else's mistake. What can you say about a company who does everything right? A five star rating just doesn't seem adequate. We hired Apex Marble Granite Tile Co to install quartzite on our countertops and tile on our backsplash. Igor Lomov, the Project Coordinator, was extremely instrumental in helping us pick out the best products to enhance our kitchen. He even went above and beyond the day we were supposed to select our Taj Mahal quartzite and weren't able to make it to Bedrosians. Instead, he drove there, found the two best slabs and put them on hold until we could arrive the next day. My husband and I thought that the tear out of the old granite was going to be exceedingly messy, but Fausto and his demo crew handled it in the best possible way minimizing the dust and debris by covering the cabinets and wood floors, hanging plastic from the doorways and just being careful. Days later, the installation of the quartzite also went very smoothly. Daniel, one of the tile installers, did a fantastic job on the backsplash. The transformation of our kitchen with the quartzite and handmade tiles could not be lovelier, and we could not be more pleased! We were told that it would be a 2 1/2 week process from start-to-finish but it ended up being sooner than that! If you are looking for someone to install new stone countertops - LOOK NO FURTHER! Apex Marble & Granite is, hands down, the BEST! Before we even hired Apex, Ben figured out, from my rough diagram & dimensions - the size of the slab we would need for our kitchen. This kept us from choosing something that, in the end, would require 2 slabs. The slab I fell in love with, of course, was an inch too small. It was going to be tight but Ben figured out and explained how they could make it work! There were days he called me 3 times to go over some detail or other - nothing was assumed or left to chance. Not only is Ben knowledgeable, he cares about doing things right and he never forgot even the smallest detail. Igor met me at the slab warehouse and chose the best of the 3 slabs in stock. It was like watching an artist sizing up his canvas. He explained what the variations in the stone were, what was important and not, and which piece of the slab should be the focal point and why. It never mattered that ours was a relatively small job in a rather ordinary kitchen - he was going to make it the best it could be. There is no other way to say it, he is truly a master craftsman. The guys that came to install have it down to a science and worked efficiently and with great care. We have used Igor and crew for two projects in our homes. They replaced the kitchen counters for us in our Lake Tahoe home about a year and a half ago. It is a vacation and all our renters have commented on the appearance of the counter tops. This project went so well when we remodeled our Kitchen and great room this year we went to Apex again to provide our countertops and fireplace surround. Igor and Ben are both very knowledgeable about what products and available and where to fins the best slabs. Igor went to the slab supplier and helped us decide which slabs to select by showing how they could be cut to maximize visual impact. The measuring cutting and install crew are top notch also.
