My family was in town and we had an impromptu visit for pedicures. First of all, I was impressed at the measures that they are taking with regards to COVID. There were partitions set up between stations, hand sanitation and temp checks. The place was also clean and so were the tools and the tubs. They really do their due diligence, which made me feel very comfortable and at ease. We each got basic pedis and each tech did an excellent job! It was my husband's and my dad's first time getting a pedicure and the loved the massages. My mom and I has our toes painted and both the gentlemen did an great job! My guy's name was Louie. He was very detailed and nice. We chatted with the lady up front and she was incredibly sweet. My husband and I will def be going back! read more

I took my 2 nieces here for the first time last week ( ages 11 & 12 ). They came down for a 2 week visit and the highlight of their trip was their auntie taking them to get pedicures. They literally were SO excited ( and besides the point; going through A LOT ). We walked in, had masks, signed a covid form, and all 3 sat down for our pedicures. The owner ( man doing my youngest nieces toes ) was extremely rude. She was leaning over talking to me and he yelled - yes, YELLED at her "Sit still! If you move you'll mess your nails up and I WONT fix them!" She had tears in her eyes. This was 10 minutes into our pedicures. I was so excited to try this place and support a new business, but he did not have to treat her that way. Do not take kids here, they have 0 patience. I have been a regular here for a couple of years and was usually happy because of the quick service (gel mani and pedi in under an hour is great when you are busy). I would see anyone and they were usually very nice to me. However, the other day I was in, someone different was doing my pedicure and they seemed to be talking about me in another language, asking me questions about an injury on my ankle and why my foot was swollen in between. The man at the front, who is super nice, seemed like he was telling them to stop. Even if my intuition is incorrect, it is still not the vibe I'm looking for when trying to relax. Had an 11am appt.. After sitting in a chair for 20 minutes waiting for someone to greet me, a man scurried over and gives me a quick, no frills pedicure and wraps my gel nails in acetone foil. 30 minutes later, after I feel like my nails are about to disintegrate (and after several walk-in's had been seated) a woman comes over and scrapes off my polish. ANOTHER 20-30 minutes go by (might I mention, the walk-in's are already being tended to) and a different woman moves me from my chair to a table and gives me again, a no frills gel manicure. 4 days later, they are brown at the tips. I've been getting my nails done for years and it puzzles me why this place gets such business. Perhaps it's because they accept every walk-in request while making an appointment wait well over an hour for a 3/10 mani/pedi...‍ Will never be going back. read more

Went in for a mani and pedi. Chose the $43 manicure and the $30 pedicure and tipped $20. Spent $93. This was my second time going here. There was lady sitting in the front chair, didn't greet us. Asked for the menu of services. She replied they will give it to you. It wasn't busy as it was Father's Day. I sat down, one technician was going to start and then they switched. They always do that, they don't introduce themselves. They start talking to each other, laughing all in Tagalog of course. Please speak English. I had one tech doing my pedicure and one doing my manicure. Listen the pedicure was nice. I needed an acrylic nail on my left toe and the tech didn't properly even out the acrylic nail length to the other toe so I have one small nail and the other toe is perfect. Why don't they catch that??? I was so uncomfortable during my manicure because I had to bring my right arm across my body, and twist my lower back to accommodate the tech instead of him going to the right arm, and then the left arm for the mani. Please get off the stool and transition from left hand and right hand instead of making the customer twist their back. That is my 2nd complaint. Then as I paid and go outside, 4 out of the 10 nails on my manicure were not even polished along the sides. I mean instead of talking to each other, laughing and watching TV, the techs must pay attention to me, the customer. The manicure was not worth the $43. Please do better. When we question the tech, for example, change the color or Please don't cut so short, they seem bothered. WE are the paying customer and we pay good money to get a service where we want to feel comfortable and pampered. Please do better! I then drove to CVS, Walgreens and finally, Walmart to find the OPI color so I can repolish my nails and correct the horrible job tech did. I found it at Walmart. I spent an additional $12.71 on this polish. read more

I got my nails done last Sunday and wasn't a huge fan of how they turned out to begin with but they were fine so I didn't raise a fuss mostly because I wasn't happy with who was doing my nails, she was rude and extremely rough with my nails and skin. But then days after getting my nails done, they began to chip and break. So I called in and set an appointment for 10:30 on Sunday (one week later). I showed up and the guy at the front desk said I would need to wait 15 minutes even though I had an appointment. So I said okay and asked if I could look through the colors. So he went back to get them and then ended up handing them to someone else and said I would be next. So I waited a little longer and when she was done with the colors I asked the guy again if I could have them and he went back and on his way back, handed them to SOMEONE ELSE. He said I was next. Finally 20 minutes after my appointment I asked when I was going to be seen. He said they are really busy and whoever was first available. I sat back down. 30 minutes after my appointment time, he sat someone else down before me. At this point, I was frustrated and walked up to him and said "I am just going to leave if I'm not going to be seen" and he says, "Okay, sorry." I'm sorry, but I had an appointment to fix the mistakes that the salon made to begin with and then I get treated horribly and I don't even get seen 30 minutes after my appointment. I will not be returning or referring anyone. They may do a good job but my experience was absolutely horrible. read more

Found this place on Yelp and figured I'd give it a try since it had the most good reviews. I called about 30 minutes prior to going in and was able to get a same day appointment, that was nice! Upon arrival I noticed how crowded it was and the front desk receptionist seemed a bit flustered! I only waited about 10 minutes before someone took me back and asked me to pick my color. Then, another customer walks in demanding a mani/pedi and the lady who was initially sitting with me got up and went to help this other customer! She says to me "I helped you pick your polish" before walking off! So I sat there for another 10 minutes or so before another woman came and finally helped me. She did a good job on my pedicure but it was like 45 with a $5 tip. Didn't think it was worth it massage felt weak and also the water was cold. Also I really only went there for callous removal and the callous was still there and even black and grey after the pedicure. She didn't get the heal because that's where I rest my foot even though I moved it forward so she should of looked to see if it was still there. I didn't want to tel her because then they start talking in another language and it's awkward. I went here for the first time yesterday and I loved it. I was in and out within an hour for a $30 acrylic fill. For $7 more you can get "fairy dust" powder on top, and I love how the effect looks + they offer many colors of it! Glad they recommended it to me because they suggested that the chrome look I originally wanted will wear off faster. The nail technician took his time to shape my nails and it shows. Usually a very good salon, but today I went back to get my nails filled. I asked for a light blue color and instead received a dark blue. After sitting with it for about 10 minutes I asked her to redo them with the lighter blue that I had originally asked for. She said of course, no problem. But while she was taking off the dark blue, she went too fast, and kept pushing the hand held sander on to my skin. Besides that, the finish product ended up still being the wrong color, and the colors are all patchy. Because of the salon closing, I just left. I will not go back to this salon, which is unfortunate because I have always had such a good experience with them. Also paid full price- $32 plus tip. I only give this a decent star rating because they were very nice and I was seen right away on a weekend. However, this is by far the worst "after" experience in all the sets I've received in my years. ALL of my nails peeled or snapped off in less than two weeks with little effort, and all tore at the same length, showing the initial plastic nail was not placed properly. The man doing my nails talked me in to getting a completely new set due to most of my acrylics being crooked, I explained that they are the one that put them on crooked but was still charged. Once finished my nails looked okay, there were clearly lumps all over them and they were filed really wide, not what I asked for, I even showed a photo of exactly what I wanted. I just stopped by on Super Bowl Sunday to get my gel polish removed because I knew the salon would be quiet. I've gotten some pretty mediocre gel manicures here in the past, but I figured they couldn't screw up a gel polish removal. Surprise, I was wrong! As my nail tech began filing the first layer of my gels off I noticed she was staring off into the distance and not looking at my hands- she ended up filing so deep into my nail plate that she left a hole in the tip of my pinky nail, which was about fingertip length. She left the one section she filed way too thin and I let her know she had filed too deep so that she wouldn't do it to my remaining 9 nails. She said "No, that's how your nails are from removing the gel". I actually laughed-- first off my gel hasn't even been removed yet, and she can clearly see that she filed all the layers of gel and most of my nail plate off because she filed in ONE section for way too long, and then she tried to play it off like I came in like that. No apologies or anything. She continued to do a half assed job at removing the rest of my gel polish because it was visibly obvious she was annoyed I brought it up. She also kept stabbing my cuticles with the sharp tool she was using to scrape off the gel polish. I understand it happening once or twice, but she left small cuts on almost all of my fingers by the time she was done. I thought I was being punked it was so bad. I now have an extremely thin, sensitive section down the middle of that nail because of how deep she filed. She also had to end up filing all the length off that nail because of the gap she made from filing the nail plate. I'm just happy she didn't break down the entire nail to my nail bed, but she wasn't very far off. Long story short, stay far away from this place if you would like to keep your fingers intact. read more

Me and my best friend used to come here religiously! They're a very popular nail salon and they get a lot of business especially on the weekends. I made the mistake of going there on a weekend without an appointment and the lady who did my nails was such in a rush she made it crooked and I was too scared to say anything because she already seemed to have had an attitude and she had a client next. I would've been better off if they told me to come in later or some other time instead of trying to squeeze me in and doing a bad job on my nails. read more

Finding parking took a little while longer than expected, so take that into account if you have an appointment, but it was nice to be right on the Main Street in Encinitas. A bit more charming than the typical nail place in. A strip mall. I asked for a heart design that I showed a picture of and the person that did my pedicure tried, but was not able to do it. He sent another girl over and she tried and wasn't able to do a heart either. I asked them just to take it off and do a solid color. I still had a great pedicure, but it was a little annoying that both of them did something that barely looked like a heart and didn't look at all like the picture and I had to point it out when they both looked really bad. Was camping at San elijo and wanted to get my nails done.. ok maybe I was glamping- the wait time was less than quoted (10 mins) and the gal that did my nails was super cute and nice (Tiffany ). She didn't twist or hurt my hands, I didn't feel any discomfort or tension. She didn't cut me or mess anything up. They have almost all OPI which is nice and for a gal fill was pretty standard- kind of on the high side 34$, but I did not have to correct any nails, they all look the same shape and was done is a timely manner.
