After driving by this place for a while and the building always grabbing my attention, we finally stopped in. I grabbed a flight and enjoyed every beer I selected. My brother-in-law enjoyed his flight as well and there isn't one that I tried that I wouldn't recommend. A good selection of draft beers. Service was excellent, the only bartender there was a wonderful woman that took care of everybody at the bar and tables. It was a smaller place than I expected. This was a nice, unexpected stop. The staff was nice, it was great to have outdoor seating and I noticed a food truck getting geared up. I went with the flight of beers, of which the Kolsch and the Raspberry Sour IPA were the highlights. They also have gluten free options and non alcoholic beers as well. Any brewery that's dog forward I am for! We were greeted with super friendly staff and from there they not only brought over our flights but brought over a cookie and a water bowl for our dog. The hazy are not that great and I will admit (in my opinion) that it's a hard beer to master especially since there are so many breweries who nail this brew. If you are looking for a great place to have a beer and wind down from a busy day, the Iron Mule Brewery is a fun place to have an excellent hand-crated beer and relax. I have visited multiple times and I have been impressed each time with the wide selection of beers. This time I had their Apricot Kolsh called the Mighty Aphrodite. The flavors were bright and crisp making an excellent dinking beer without being heavy. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and have had an excellent Mexican food truck outside each time I have visited. They also have a relationship with a restaurant just down the street that will deliver sandwiches and other great-sounding food items if you order using their online app. The noise level has always been manageable and you can have a conversation at your table. We also learned they have "Chive Trivia" available, which was nice to play while we were enjoying our beer this last time. Looking forward to future visits to Iron Mule and their friendly and welcoming brewery. read more

Went there on 6/6/21. Our first time there. Good size patio. Very tight inside. They do not have a restroom. You have to go outside and behind the building is a building restroom building. The bartenders this day were very friendly and attentive. I believe one of them was the owner. We tried a flight. We got the black IPA, grapefruit IPA, amber, brown and Italian Pilsner. Nothing special. Just basic for the amber, brown and Pilsner. Black IPA was good. The grapefruit IPA was not good at all. Will def come back for the customer service. Cheers! read more

My wife and I have been exploring Castle Rock since our son moved here last fall, and love this little neighborhood brewery with its dog friendly bar and patio. We've stopped in on three occasions for a beer or two. The staff is very friendly and accommodating - no sooner had we sat down after visiting the farmers market on Sunday than a lady appeared with a bowl of fresh water for our doggies. The beer is excellent, and you feel welcome and appreciated from the moment you arrive. The interior is very nice and the patio is excellent, with a great view of The Rock and the occasional train passing by. We will make a point of stopping for a pint when we're in Castle Rock. read more

Cool place but you'll never find the bathrooms without a little help. Had a flight here with some friends. Wanted to make a pit stop as well but I found myself at a loss when locating the bathrooms. My mind wandered as my feet did. Surely a place that serves carbonated adult beverages has a bathroom, I thought. Come to find out, they're just outside and around the corner. Needed something to drink after the long journey. Thankfully, my friends had gotten a flight with the brewer's recommendations. He didn't steer us wrong. Great brews made here, there's a beer for every taste. From a smooth Pilsner to an IPA that will make you whoop. I especially enjoyed a saison that was spot on. The food truck outside left an unpleasant smell within the establishment. The icing on the cake was that neither of us tried any beer that would bring us back. Iron Mule was great! I really liked the space! Beers were good - we got a flight and enjoyed them all. My favorite was the Berry Me - Strawberry Champagne. I had two 3oz drinks of this. I really liked it, but its pretty sweet and high ABV, so a small amount is good for me. The bartender was very nice, friendly, and attentive. Great local craft brewery. Their website was not accurate for the tap list so I was disappointed when I came in and the two beers I wanted to try were not available. The bartender and beer made up for that disappointment! The bartender was super nice, friendly and helpful. Ordered the peach lager (not my normal style) and it was amazing! Dog friendly inside and out on patio. 2 dart boards up for practice and Jason is a good mgr for all customers. Quick to do service behind the bar. Early hours server has the same attitude as Jason. Not a big tv place, but better for meeting up with friends, etc. Food trucks are out front of the outdoor patio usually. Go for the beers, and have a few. Not a high alcohol content selection but flavorful. Smaller batch beers brewed on location. My review is based on two years of visits there. I avoided this place for a bit thinking they might be associated with the dumpster fire that was the "Castle Rock Beer Company". To my delight, they are NOT. The beer here is very solid, good selection of beer styles. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating. So far their food trucks are pretty good as well. We were pleasantly surprised by the Iron Mule Brewery! On a busy Saturday afternoon brewery hopping in Castle Rock, we were a little skeptical about stopping in at the Iron Mule because it wasn't busy but before we knew it, many hours had gone by and good beers were had by everyone. An added plus was food truck in the parking lot serving up possibly the best nachos I have ever had in my entire life. Cannot wait to have another cold brew at the Iron Mule next time we are in town.
