I just bought new tires for my 2016 CRV . I got a set of 4 brdgestone tires from costco and i after installation i had the wheels aligned. I came in on a Monday morning, took about 1 hr to get the job done. My car has not been aligned in 4 yrs, already i can see that the new tires+ wheel balance and alignment make a hige different on the fuel efficiency of the car. Previously i was reaching about 27 MPG on highway, now i am getting 30 miles. Definitely an improvement, and savings on my transportation costs. I needed a tire to pass my inspection. We came to their other location on nothern blvd and they before said on the phone they had it, but they didnt, very annoying but still, we came here then after the nothern blvd brach called they confirmed they had it here. We came and the place was faily not busy and we got all done pretty fast. The annoying thing is that their credit card machine was not working very well. So we had to go get money at the ATM. Was a tiny inconvenience. However overall the time was in a really good condition and we were really happy. They even gave a 5 dollar discount on the tire and we were really happy. They seem to have a lot of other very nice services that we are going to take advantage of. read more

I went to 106 st. Tire and wheel for an inspection. They typed in the wrong mileage number for my vehicle. Doesn't seem like a big problem right? WRONG! This affects your Carfax report and makes the value of your car depreciate significantly! It makes it appear as if someone tampered with the mileage. So a word to the wise, don't go to this place if you value your wallet and car value. read more

Horrible service.. employees walk around slowly and carelessly..uninterested in customers.. give no information of what's going on. I went.. they made me wait an hour after which I tried to find the guy and ask him.. he said my tire had an air bubble.. and needed a new one.. said they didnt have used ones .. so when I said I'd find somewhere else to go he said he'd "check" .. ohh so he hadn't checked before he told me he had none?? BS .. made me wait another 20 minutes before i went over to him and he replied with.. " I haven't checked yet.. I have 3 cars ahead of you" .. wow.. he was going to have me sit there while he serviced 3 cars to tell me if he had a used tire.. ridiculous.. This is a review for their Queens Blvd location. In a few words, avoid this place at all costs. The counter person tried to overcharge me for a service that is clearly listed in their website. He said he did not know about it and tried to make me pay extra money thinking that I was naive. At the end, he went with my price and went ahead and did the service. They will mess up your car because they hire inexperienced workers who have no idea on how to perform a simple task. I went in for a followup after my car was fixed since it was starting to have issues. The man tells me that their warranty was one month - nowhere to be found on the receipt, but rather made up out of convenience. I have to go to another mechanic to fix a problem they created and pay more money. read more

This is my go to shop for wheels and i must say i have to stop coming here. I bought a used tire for 100$ because they said the tire i wanted patched was "unrepairable" because it's not safe. Which i don't buy but sure ok. I bought the new tire and a few days later i my PSI was dropping in that tire and i brought it back and the dude had no clue what was wrong with it. He said it was the tire but when i said i bought it from here he starts to switch up the reason for the leak of air in my wheel. Place just is so lazy and scams you. read more

Avoid the Queens Blvd. location. I brought my car in with an AC problem that had already been diagnosed by two other places. First he wanted to charge for diagnosis, then he wanted only cash! When I said I did not have cash he insisted that I go borrow the money from someone (which I did not). The whole experience was sleazy and unprofessional. read more

I have used this store since it opened, and, in fact, at times the other 3 stores at times depending where I am and what I need. This business tries to make its customers very happy but like any business some times it fails to do that because of difficult customers, staff members who get fired for not providing customer care, etc. What I know about every store in the 106 St chain is this...this business will go the extra mile when customers stay calm, ask for managers and act like ladies and gentlemen. Like every business, things change quickly and I have on occssiona had some issues on promotional items, prices changes, etc. But this goes on everywhere. As a customer with 106 St Tire & Wheel, I know that anyone can call the main store on Northern Blvd and get top rate service at any of the other 3 locations because the main store take a deep interest in what goes on, will get involved, will straighten out confusion, etc. The Queens Blvd store assimilated AMCOR's customers and their very experienced mechanic so the guy who is complaining may have just hit this business at the wrong time. Generally, service, hours, products, sales people, etc have gone up in quality over the past 2 years. I would always stick it out with this business because I know that this tire business is one of the finest organizations in Queens offering support to the community, offering freebees to customers and backing up products they sell. I wouldn't think about going anywhere else as this business has a 10 year track record with me and many of my friends as the best in the business. read more

I love the Queens Blvd location of 106 St Tire and I love the 3 other locations as well. It's a clean and well run business that goes the extra mile. This location became 106 St after AMCOR retired from the autoservice business and things got better when 106 took over. It amazes me how stupid some people can be when they don't realize that tire shops, tile stores, Mc Donalds, Starbucks, Home Depot, etc and other hands on businesses and webmasters do not work in the same place. I have had many experiences where the on sale price was not the price that had yet trickled down to the stores in a timely manner but the company gave me that price anyway. If anyone thinks that walking into a tire shop has the mechanics and the front desk people up to date on what the webmaster is doing across town or across the world, they need more help than I can give them. 106 St Tire & Wheel is one of the most accommodating, friendly, community oriented businesses there is in NYC and as far as tire businesses are concerned NO ONE offers more to the community than 106. I am familar with all 4 locations and though some times not everyone is on the same page, each of those stores go out of their way to make me comfortable, give me great service, they apologize if everyone isn't caught up to the webmaster who IS NOT ON SITE, DUUUH, and their discount prices, management and technicians as well as their services cannot be beat by any other tire business in Queens. Free wheel alignment with 4 new or used tires purchased at the stores? Free nitrogen fill with the purchased of 4 new or used tires? Early bird specials? Discounts for city workers? Free flats fixed for TLC owners at the Jamaica location. Sorry, Jay J but get a grip and join the 21st century.
