Wow, shocked it has that many stars. Started off great, promptly greeted by waitress and ordered drinks and apps. A few minutes later ordered main meal. App was crab dip. Wasn't super hot and the cheese placed on top looked like an afterthought but we were hungry so ate it. After about 20 minutes our waitress came by and let us know that since we ordered the steak cheesesteak they had to defrost the steak After 35 minutes people around us that had came in much later than us were getting their food and we still had nothing. I went up to the bar and told the waitress we were done waiting. She let me know she would take the cheesesteak off our bill‍ Well that's good, since we never got our food. She apologized but still ended up charging me for the app. It is definitely a one and done for me there! read more

Awesome new small town bar with the perfect combination of cozy dive bar and modern sleek spot. I was traveling through the area for the weekend with a group of friends and needed a spot to fuel up with a few brews and bites. We stumbled upon 10 Tavern around 1pm on a Friday. The bar was fairly empty (not surprising for this time of day) - we had our selection of tall bar tables, 4 top dining tables, or seats at the bar. We grabbed four seats and were greeted immediately by the very friend bartender. The drinks were really solid - I went with the blackberry cider on tap for $8 which was absolutely phenomenal! They had a fall cocktail menu with a variety of specialty drinks for $10ish - my friends tried the cider mule and a pumpkin flavored drink which bold got good reviews. They have hoop tea on tap which I thought was so much fun - I haven't seen a bar with a tea on tap before, very unique. I didn't eat but 2 of my friends ordered - they had the vegan bean burger and the fish sandwich. The fish filet was absolutely huge, was very tempting to order. Both said that the food was solid, not amazing but good. The service from the bartender and other staff members was really great; she shared the history of the area and bar with us. Awesome that a local spot has been redesigned and reshaped to fit a new need for the area - definitely love the story behind the new bar. If you're in the area, 100% worth a stop through - and I highly recommend trying the blackberry cider. What a treat! read more

Came here tonight for the first time. The food was awesome. We had the egg rolls, they have a different one each week. I had the buffalo wrap with sweet potato fries- you can get them with honey and powdered sugar. My hubby hand the black and blue burger. Service was great- staff were friendly. Great place to visit. Ate here for the 1st time 2 days ago, mainly because of the high rating it got on Yelp.It was Not overrated. The 10 Tavern is not large but just the right size to feel Cozy.The staff were very friendly and patient. They don't bug if you're not ready to order and just want to enjoy a drink. The Burger and Fish and Chips we had were some of the best I've ever tasted and the the prices were reasonable. Not very busy tonight. We got there just after happy hour. It's Thursday evening so I guess most people are at home. This was our first time there. No live music , Karaoke or trivia. I would like to check out those nights and add to my review later on. So I'll do that. I got the Buffalo chicken wrap. I liked it. I usually don't get chicken without bones in it. I just want to be able to identify the body. But I thought the wrap was very good. The Buffalo sauce was hotter than you usually get anywhere else. Cute and cozy with a pub-like feel. I stopped by in trivia night so trivia fans please note. I had the mushroom Swiss burger which was hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had! The garlic Parmesan fries were a nice added bonus. And it was rounded out with a fresh squeezed orange crush (No concentrate please!). Service was good and patrons pleasant. So far so good, just posting initial images of the menu. Ambiance is nice. Slightly loud with everyone talking. Took photos of everyone's plate! Nobody had any complaints of their food, food was good. Was getting a little warm with everyone here, so far so good for early opening of the place. Found this place randomly after returning from a winery. The food was great... the burgers were tasty, and cooked perfectly. But the service, oh the service. We sat at the bar, and the bartender refused to give us menus, instead telling us another server would help us. 15 minutes later, the server finally gave us menus and took our order. Mind you, there was no one sitting at the bar, and only 2 tables sat when we got there. Once we ordered our food, it was like we were forgotten about. They never checked on us, and then finally after over 1.5 hours, we got our check. We didn't see a bartender or server after that. The only person we saw was some random dude sitting in a back room the entire time eating fries and chillin on his phone. Overall: food was delish, but the service (or lack thereof) will definitely keep us from ever coming back. read more

Must be mostly friend reviews here. Never like to give small business bad reviews but this is warranted. Comfortable atmosphere with TV's in view from any seat. Got two apps, wings and the shrimp. The flavor of the wings was ok but the wings weren't crispy at all. The shrimp was ok but some were hot and some were cold? We needed extra napkins after the wings and got rough bathroom paper towels? My burger was ok, but surely not good enough for what should be their best item. My wife got the Buffalo chicken wrap. She said it tasted off and didn't eat it. Our server was sweet but could have been more attentive. Had a few glasses of wine, the pours were very weak for charging $11 a glass for house wine. An expensive below average meal. To be honest, it kind of reeks of an owner desperately trying to penny pinch. read more

My friend and I enjoyed a hike in Catoctin and thought we would give 10 tavern a try. The restaurant just opened in July and it was delightful! The menu is mostly burgers, wings, and fries, but after a long hike, so that worked well. We started with the crabby fries, which were excellent. The service was excellent and prompt. There is an ambience of a sports bar with televisions around the establishment showing games. The burger I had was well done, and it nicely cooked. I must say I was pleasantly surprised and would return to this restaurant for a meal in the future. It would be nice to see some salads or other healthy entrées on the menu... But hopefully that will be forthcoming. read more

Very nice ambiance. Food was good overall. Unfortunately the lettuce on my salad was so bad I couldn't eat it. I'm talking. Black and squishy. When I told the waiter she said sorry but did nothing. Nice little eatery. When we went it got busy. There were 2 waitresses working the dining room and bar. They were moving the entire time we were there. We ordered, talked, and watched some tv. It's a relaxed atmosphere even though they were working hard. The food is really good. We have liked everything that we have ordered. This newly remodled restaurant is very clean. Our server, Jess, was very informative and kind. The food was delicious! It was a bit pricey for a burger and fries, but worth the money. I had the Black and Blue burger and my daughter had the Smashburger. Both burgers were prepared as ordered. The brioche bun on mine was very fresh. The burgers were served with fries or our choice of another side. We both had fries that were seasoned well, and nice and crispy. My grandson ordered from the child's menu. He chose the usual chicked strips. Instead of fries, he chose mac and cheese. The chicken was outstanding homemade fried chicken that was crisp to perfection. Not greasy at all. For his side, he chose mac & cheese, which was I sampled. It was homemade with the perfect combination of cheeses. It came out bubbling hot and delicious! The best I have ever had! My daughter's burger came with a special sauce that she said was extremely good. We don't have many options in Thurmont besides fast food, which I eat very rarely. Now, with ALL prices increased, I didn't mind paying a little extra for delicious homemade food obviously prepared by a trained chef. They also have a bar. The ambiance could use an upgrade is my only complaint. Maybe some decor and music? Just a suggestion. Overall, it was a better than average lunch and we will definitely be back! read more
