Service was really slow, despite not being busy at all. It took a long time just to get our crabs, let alone put our order in. Another server seemed more focused on chatting with another table, so we were often waiting for our food or to get refills. When the crabs finally came out, they were some of the smallest I've ever seen. The hush puppies were stale. It took forever to get more crabs once we ran out. Our birthday guest ordered snow crab legs, but they came out really skinny. The little girl at the next table got much bigger ones. They do have a full bar, beer, desserts, and a private parking lot, but overall, the poor service and inconsistent food quality made it hard to enjoy what should have been a nice birthday dinner. Probably wouldn't come back, especially for the AYCE option.

You can find cheaper (frozen) birds at big box groceries, but you will never find a better bird. Hillside has limited hours so check out their website before making the trek from wherever you are. I have never become ill from the food and the place has always been clean. The salad bar has always been fresh and tasty, with a huge variety of toppings and dressings.. If the food was so bad and making people sick, the parking lot wouldn't be packed every single time that I have been here in 3 decades. I think a lot of the bad reviews show serious and vicious anti conservative/anti christian bias that liberal "Karens and Kevins" embrace. Some of the negative comments about the appearance of employees are just vicious. I have never had a bad or poor meal here. I have never become ill from eating the food. It has never been dirty there in any way. The malicious, deceptive and vindictive reviews reveal a deep seated psychological disconnect with reality and cognitive dissonance in some of the reviewer's minds. This is a clean, safe place to eat, the food is always very good, the prices are reasonable and the staff has always been pleasant and responsive for the past 30 years that I have been there.
