This bar has a friendly staff. I had Nachos the best I have ever had. Looking forward to going again in the future.

Cactus Flats is a Roadhouse, good music, cold beer, amiable folks and a delicious Cheeseburger, the only thing I've had off the menu.

Did local boy Joey Madrones open his own joint? I know there is beer involved so I grab my co workers and we head on over to Madrones. We're here during the week and the place is jumpin'! I did not make a reservation and was able to snag a table with no wait. The beer selection is quite substantial with 24 beers on tap. I ordered a Hefeweizen to get the dinner party started. I started with the Fried Chesapeake Oysters. I mean, we're in Maryland so seafood is a must. The fried oysters were plump and quite tasty. Madrones is known for their Prime Rib so I ordered a small cut to start. The Au Jus along with the steak was a perfect cut for me. Served with the right cook on the steak, I recommend Madrones when you're in the mood for Prime Rib. I finished with Madrones Peanut Butter Pie, Mmm mm! Madrones, great meal! I will return the next time I'm in Frederick MD

Home fries were also good with the onion and seasoning. The kids got the waffle with the strawberry and blueberry compote which I think might have been homemade. It was very good. The high chair was a bit dirty and sticky and I wish it had been cleaned better. But the bathrooms were very nice and clean. We'll be back for sure. This makes for a great Sunday morning with the Woodsboro park right down the street.

Their menu had a decent selection and we were excited to try our picks. Unfortunately for the adults we were not impressed. The kiddos, on the other hand, were quite content. What we got: Kids meals: comes with a 12oz drink. - Mac & cheese - no idea on the rating. The little devoured it and was still hungry so we ordered a slice of French toast for $2.25. The fries that came with the Mac and cheese were not impressive. The chocolate milk was loved by the kiddos. - French toast - I tried some of this and wasn't impressed. But once again the kiddo loved it and finished it. The chocolate milk was also devoured. M.O.A.B. - 2.5* the toast was fine. The eggs were fine, they were over easy (asked for over medium, but not a big deal). The home fries were on the drier side. The pork chops were tough. The hot cake was fluffy but nothing special. Would've enjoyed it more with real syrup. Sausage & gravy on home fries - 2* very little sausage and gravy compared to the home fries. I thought the home fries were fun as they were little potato discs, but I didn't want nearly as much as what came with the meal. The sausage and gravy was also lacking in flavor.

First time visiting Furnace Crab House, and it definitely won't be our last!…read more My family of five stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and had a great experience from start to finish. Our server, Megan, was fantastic - friendly, attentive, and made some great recommendations. The food came out in a timely manner, and everything was delicious. I ordered the Po' Boy sandwich, and wow, it was amazing! Packed with flavor and definitely something I'd order again. Kids had the cheeseburger, friends had the sampler (it was ok), and another had soup that was yummy! One thing that really stood out was when Megan brought out a pitcher of water without us even having to ask. As a family that drinks a lot of water, that thoughtful gesture was greatly appreciated and showed her attention to detail. Great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Megan deserves a raise! We'll definitely be back.

We will be back Oh their crab soup was the best, in past it was ok.
