    Bangers and Mash

I can't wait to come back. I work remote out of Frederick and realize that every time I come into town, I am eating here. The bangers and mash was so delicious. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Could've used a little more bangers though. I thought it was a little skimpy. I guess I'll have to get an appetizer with it. They have to be expertly trained as it shows in their dishes. We were there on a very cold day in January and it was cold inside. Maybe their heat was out but be prepared with a dinner hoodie. Service was pretty good, she could've smiled more. But ai was there for the flavor and they delivered that. I will be going to the office soon and this place is what I am looking forward to the most... Eating at The Roasthouse Pub. I'll update the indoor weather soon.

Stopped by for a quick lunch during a day of errands. We got the Roastie Burger and the turkey pastrami sandwich. The Roastie was messy but tasty. A little overcooked for the medium rare I requested. My wife's sandwich was very good. A little too much slaw, made it hard to eat. Just have to scrape it off. The sides are good. They must not have a fryer. No fries or chips. Service was quick and attentive. Nice little Pub. Good size bar, booths up against the outer walls. Tables in the middle. Didn't have a beer but the selection was nice.

Service was a bit all over today (a little forgetful), but extremely friendly. Overall, the food was good, the drinks were better. We had the Jerk tacos and some chili - both flavorful. It's small inside - maybe 15 tables and very casual. We tried the Cherry Vanilla cider and some drinks from the bar - we would order all again. We would give this place another go.

I was in Frederick for a Submarine Reunion and really wanted some crab cakes. Well, I hit the jackpot with this place! It was one of the best crabcakes I've ever eaten! There was hardly any filler, and it was literally cooked to perfection! They have a full bar and a very good craft beer selection. The place is somewhat small, but that makes it very cozy. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. This place is fantastic and a must visit when you're in Frederick! Cheers!

It took a few years, but I made it back! I read my previous review and ordered the same roasthouse pub burger (not disappointed). This time, I bypassed the brussel sprout and ordered the side salad with the house chili thai dressing. It was delicious, but if you don't like spicy change out the dressing. Remember the rotating taps? Well, my favorite beer rotated on out of there. They offer 2oz, 5oz, and 16oz pours, so we settled on a few 5oz pours. If you don't like committing to a single beer, this is for you! We also had the chicken wings with old bay (very good) swapping out carrots for celery. The celery was so fresh and crisp! Note: Despite listing outdoor seating on Yelp, there isn't any outdoor seating here, and the ac works great (note to self: bring a sweater).

Our waiter David was awesome! We had burgers and they were done to perfection. Salad and potatoes were great too! We enjoyed our local draft beer will be back next time we're in Frederick.

"This might be the best burger I ever had"- a man that takes his food very seriously. I thought I took a picture but I guess I was too excited! Food was absolutely excellent and the service was great as well! We came at 12 on a Friday and it wasn't very busy. Definitely a hidden gem!

It's hard to find a place where the owner/menu creator makes His culinary training or love of food known through every dish presented. Each dish presented complexity of texture, flavor and balance. The Roasthouse Burger is the pinnacle of this delicious complexity. 1/2 lb. local Angus patty, Maple Bourbon Bacon Jam, house-cured Jalapeno Bacon, Buffalo Mozzarella, house sweet pickled jalapenos and the toasted Bavarian Pretzel bun offers the perfect chewiness and the burger meat has the perfect fat to meat ratio - high quality and perfectly cooked. The other dish that you definitely should try is the Ham Brisket Sandwich... it is a 1/2 lb glazed Applewood smoked Ham Brisket with white cheddar, jalapeno bacon on a Bavarian pretzel bun. Warning: they don't have fries or onion rings. But offer a side salad with an amazingly spicy Asian teriyaki house dressing that I wish was being sold by the bottle. They also cook red potatoes in bacon fat or mashed potatoes. For beer lovers... they definitely have an amazing assortment of beers that will meet all serious beer aficionados. I can't recommend this place high enough. If you are in the area... come check it out!

Randomly came here by using the yelp feature that says surprise me! I was pleasantly surprised because I had been wanting to come here for a while but never timed it out right! Today I came and Luke was the bartender and server. He made me a tasty whiskey sour and henny margarita. He also recommended the ham brisket sandwich was flavorful and delicious! They also had the door open and so the fresh air was nice on a 70 degree fall day in Frederick! Ally was equally amazing and I could tell customers liked both of them! Come here and you won't be disappointed!!!

I had driven two hours and was hungry, but I was also committed to making good decisions. Or at least mostly good decisions... The hostess offered me a seat at the second-floor bar rather than the quoted 25-30 minute wait. Great! Solo diners love surprise upgrades. Unfortunately, when I got upstairs, the one "available" seat had apparently been claimed by a diaper bag and a giant straw sunhat belonging to the woman sitting next to it holding a too-little-to-walk baby sitting at the bar. Uhhh...this isn't going to work. Back downstairs I went. I gave them my name and number, found a shady spot outside, and settled in for what I assumed would be a long wait. Five minutes later, my table was ready. Thank you, Universe! My server greeted me with water immediately, explained the QR code menu situation, and told me not to order through the app because she'd be right back. No worries, friend. I'd already done my homework. I knew exactly what I wanted. One Martha Stewart's Prison Pizza ($22), please. (Sausage, broccoli, ricotta, Calabrian chili peppers, lemon oil, and sea salt.) I asked for the chili peppers on the side because I know myself. I like adventure. I don't enjoy possibly setting my mouth on fire. And a Diet Pepsi ($3.50), because balance. While I waited, I people-watched, which is one of my favorite hobbies. White Rabbit was PACKED. The patio was full. The downstairs bar was full. Upstairs was full. Couples, groups of girlfriends, older folks, younger folks, families, solo diners...everyone seemed happy to be there. The place itself is pretty small, which explains the wait. Six tables downstairs, maybe eight bar seats, more seating upstairs, and a constant dance of servers carrying food through the same front door customers use. Add the "please wait to be seated" crowd gathering in the narrow hallway and I'd describe things as organized chaos. But once I was seated, I was perfectly comfortable and out of the traffic pattern. One cool touch I noticed: outlets and USB ports built right into the front of the bar. Maybe that's common and I've somehow missed it all these years, but I thought it was pretty neat. Then my pizza arrived. Oh good lawd. OH. GOOD. LAWD. This pizza was SO GOOD! I knew from the first bite that I was in trouble. There was no sauce, which surprised me at first, but after approximately three seconds I no longer cared. The sausage was plentiful. The broccoli added texture. The ricotta was creamy and rich. And that lemon oil?! That lemon oil set it off! Everything just worked together perfectly. The Calabrian peppers arrived on the side exactly as requested. I bravely sampled a very small amount on my fork before desecrating my pizza and quickly determined that folks with stronger heat tolerance than me will absolutely love them. They were just a little too spicy for my delicate tastebuds. Thankfully, the pizza was incredible without them. And those slices? MONSTERS. I ate one and seriously contemplated a second before reminding myself that I had dessert plans elsewhere. A box was requested. Self-control was exercised. Barely. As a solo diner, I also want to give White Rabbit extra points. Multiple staff members checked on me throughout the meal. I never felt forgotten, rushed, or weird sitting by myself. Everyone was warm, kind, and made me feel completely comfortable. I really appreciated that. My total bill came to $32.44 including tip which felt really reasonable given the amount of pizza I consumed and brought home. Worth every penny. I'm already scheming my next two-hour drive back. Maybe a smashburger. Maybe those Brussels sprouts everyone keeps raving about. Maybe another pizza. Maybe all of it! I highly recommend checking out White Rabbit. Make it a destination, not just a stop while you're in the area. Don't let the size of the place or the wait scare you off. It's totally worth it. PRO TIP: If you park in the Church Street Parking Garage, look for the staircase labeled "STAIR 3." White Rabbit is literally right outside the door at the bottom. No hide-and-seek required!

I reccomend parking at the Church Street Garage to access the restaurant as it's sort of hard to find parking. Interior was quaint and conservative and our waitress was amazing and very sweet.

OMG; OMB is so freaking good!…read more Frederick has a wealth of local brewers, and Olde Mother is consistently at the top of the heap. The taproom at OMB has a warm, Cheers-like vibe (they don't know my name, but I'm working on it!). Their taps feature a rotating selection of light, sour/fruity, hoppy, dark/malty, and non-alcoholic beers. I'm a fan of their various Kolsches, and their stouts are "interesting" (I enjoyed their Morning Ritual Golden Breakfast Stout this week: looks like a lager, with a maple syrup taste that was really refreshing. Guinness it wasn't!). They also offer cocktails and wines for those poor people that can't appreciate a well-crafted, well-poured brews (pagans!). Pours are generous, prices are reasonable, value is great. They even have a selection of board games so you can while away a cold (or hot) evening by yourself or with friends. But wait: there's more... OMB shares space with Backslash Burgers (which was recently renamed from "50/50 Burgers" for what sounds like trademark reasons. Yelp hasn't caught the name change yet. (If you like heat, try the "I Can't Feel My Face" burger. I dare you...). Sandwiches can be ordered as single or double patties, and can be made with chicken. Large groups can be accommodated, and there are regular events (bands, Night Markets, even a "Paint Your Pet" night are on this month's schedule) to help bring in thirsty and hungry hordes. Trivia Night is every Thursday, and it can get raucous. OMB shares a parking lot across the street with Gravel & Grind bike and coffee shop. It's not easily handicap accessible, with a few steps separating OMB and BB, and since both are self-service that could be a problem, but it's a great place to make helpful friends, no? The hours are also a little quirky for a pub (Monday-Saturday 11AM-10PM, Sunday 11AM-7PM). So, if you find your way to Frederick (and you should!), stop in for a great brew and burger.
