I've been here about 3 or 4 times already. It's one of my favorite spots to get boba when I'm in Arlington. The design and layout is pretty cool. I like the decorations and ambiance. Parking is easy and the service has always been fast/friendly for me. Get the Green Thai Milk Tea with Boba in their signature light bulb! I always order this and have never been disappointed. They used to serve it in a glass light bulb, but recently changed it to plastic so customers can take it to go. I've also tried the Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba and that was pretty good too. The texture of the boba is perfect and the quality of the tea is legit. I recently tried their Grilled Egg Cakes and was pretty impressed. Prices are typical for a boba joint so nothing outrageous. I'm super picky when it comes to boba and tea. It's taken me forever to find places in the area that compare to the stores in CA, until now! Drinks: Green Thai tea, peach green tea, and jasmine green milk tea! Green Thai tea wasn't overly sweet, it's basically a combo of matcha and Thai tea. Peach green tea wasn't overly tart and had the right level of sweetness! Jasmine green milk tea threw me off because it usually doesn't taste like how I expect, but this one did! I had to come try this place out a couple of times to see if it was good or not. The first few times I came in when it first opened they were still trying to get their drink recipes together, but now after a couple of months of being open, they for sure got it down! I highly recommend their ice blends for starters! I haven't gotten to try all their other types of drinks yet, but I will be back to try them soon since this is such an awesome place to hang out at! It is decorated nicely as you can see in my picture they have an awesome cherry blossom tree you can sit under! I'm pretty sure their workers are the ones that set the playlist so it keeps the music interesting! Honestly prettty good! This shop is so freaking cute. I love how there are different types of seating! There is no music tho which is kinda awkward but we will survive ahah. The drinks were pretty good! Suprisingly they actually use real fruits for their smoothies(i think it depends on which one) or maybe they aren't. In the past I wasn't a big fan of the tea. It usually tasted a tad too watery for me. After a few more trips I can confidently say I would make this a regular stop on my milk tea list. The decor is adorable, with shorts tables to sit at and lots of fake foliage all around. The list of teas is extensive and the have other variants of drinks and desserts. They have a potted "plant" dessert that I've only seen in Koreatown in New York (and actual South Korea) that comes in vanilla or chocolate flavorings. I got the limited edition bucket of milk tea with the lavender flavoring and taro pudding. It was super tasty and aromatic. The obly reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because ICafe and other boba places are just down the road and have the same quality milk tea for a much cheaper price. We went here based on reviews and would say it was worth it! My husband had Mango Milk Tea with Mango Custard (suggested by the person working) and he loved it! He usually doesn't rave about any kind of tea but he said he would go back any time! Unfortunately, because of my milk allergy, I found out I couldn't have a milk tea (which I have had before because many places use non dairy powder). I had a Lychee Jasmine Tea with Boba instead and it was very good! If your looking for a place to grab a boba drink this has a nice selection of flavors and jellies. Its a cozy little place with limited seating inside. Brightly colored interior with cute decorations has an inviting feel to it. There are so many varieties of teas, milk tea and smoothies you can add, that it can get confusing. If it's your first time here, I recommend the Thai Green with flan. It's basically the combination of Thai tea and matcha, and the best part is that it's not overwhelmingly sweet like other milk tea. I am not a milk-tea girl and definitely not a flan girl. I usually go for a flavored tea and jelly but their Thai Green is hard to pass. Everyone working there were very friendly and can definitely help you find something that will satisfy your boba craving. They also have small food items on the menu, so definitely check them out. At first, I thought it tasted strange, but eventually learned to like it. We also had an order of the banh Trang salad, I had really high expectations for that dish. Hands down the most unique location to get boba around DFW! Let's start with the ambience. It's a small cozy place that is beautifully decorated with artificial plants, bringing this luscious green color all around. They have a patch of synthetic grass adhering to the wall making it the perfect photo op background. One side is Japanese-themed with a gorgeous cherry blossom tree and tables low to the ground, allowing the customers to sit on the floor. The seat cushions are patterned with these adorable cats. (Warning: it may be difficult to get up from a seated position if you're sitting that low to the ground). The other side has a modern, hipster touch with wooden tables/stools. When you get the chance, look up at the ceiling - love the décor. There are also outdoor seatings available for those needing some fresh air. Gotta love this time of year though - there's the holiday feels with Christmas decorations. Two items on the menu that stood out: 1102 signature light bulb milk tea and hot pot milk tea. It's no fun drinking milk tea out of the usual plastic cup - been there, done that. I was literally sipping my jasmine green tea out of a light bulb. There's the option to add additional toppings ranging from $0.50-0.75. As for customizing "hot pot" milk tea, there is the option to get it hot or cold. Honestly, adding $3 for a bucket of ice to enjoy the drink cold is a little steep in price. How does it work? 1) Pick the milk tea flavor of choice: black, oolong, jasmine green tea, red thai, or green thai 2) Choose your size: small or large 3) Choose your toppings We had two different milk tea drinks going - red thai and jasmine green tea - with coffee flan jelly, mini mochi, lychee popping boba, and boba as our topping. My favorite was the mini mochi - so colorful and chewy. The lychee popping boba gave me a little burst of sweet acidic surprise as I bit into them. I really enjoyed the red thai milk tea over the jasmine green tea, but that's just my personal preference. Some people think that this is a lot of "work" for just drinking boba. It does require a little energy expenditure in terms of scooping ice into your jar, filling the tea yourself, and manually adding in each individual toppings. I think it's rather fun instead of idly drinking out of a boba drink. It makes it easy to share with friends, try different teas, and ideally control the portion. The hype is real y'all! The cutest boba place with very consistent drinks and boba. I thought I'm not really a fan of milk tea, give me blended drinks and i'll be a happy camper, yet, I find myself keep coming back here several times now the last couple weeks only to get their milk tea. With so many boba places in the area, what makes this one different from the rest and really stands out? I wondered that myself after seeing several of my yelp friends review this place and gave it such a high rating. A little skeptical but curious at the same time, I decided to give them a try. 1. Decor: The place is small, but it's the cutest! First impression: unique. They have hanging pots of plants from the ceiling, a big cherry tree in the corner, couple of floor tables (Japanese style), totally anime theme going on. 2. Atmosphere: the only boba shop i have been to so far that makes me want to stay and enjoy my drinks, instead of just order and go like all the other places. As a matter of fact, they design their menu for that purpose. You can order a larger size of milk tea (not sure what it's called), comes with 2 toppings (boba, jelly, etc....), ice, and mix it yourself at the table. The shop is small and can get loud with so many customers, so not very ideal to come here to study or get some work done, but ironically, it's a perfect spot to hang out especially with some friends. Drinks and food: I have only tried the milk teas from here. You can only add to the drinks, but not subtract anything from it, ie: the sweetness level. I've been here SO many times since it first opened, it has quickly become my go-to spot for tea and casual hang out spot. Drinks: I personally think this might be the best teas in the Arlington area. They aren't too sweet and the jelly/boba options are plentiful. There's so many unique types of drinks here too! There are tea sets you can order that look like tea party trays, which are an absolute blast with a date or friends. Decor: Super cute and calming design on the inside. Their Pinterest levels were maxed out to make this place look as hip as possible. There are two tatami-style tables on the ground level, which are my favorite, a row of tables, and bar style seating towards the entrance. Service: I've always had really good service here. Every time I've been here I've been greeted warmly and always had my drinks done correctly and efficiently. The guy who owns this place actually came up to my friends and I after one of the grand opening days to talk to us and ask us about what we thought. Us: "hey so sorry our cup broke when putting the straw and is leaking can we get another one?" 1102 cashier: oh you have to put the straw hard" Us: "haha yeah we did that and the cup broke by accident" 1102 cashier: "oh you want another cup to pour your drink?" Us: "no like our drink is spilled out and our friend took it outside since it leaked on the floor but we cleaned it up, do you know if we could still get a replacement by chance?" 1102 cashier: "okay hold on" --never came back with a resolution-- Other customer of their culture who had the same thing happened: "oh this spilled and broke" Us watching what happened: "haha dont worry don't feel bad ours did the same thing haha" Other customer of their culture who had the same thing happened talks to 1102 cashier and gets a replacement and tries to pay for it and 1102 cashier says no it's okay and they leave happy and satisfied. We wait 10ish minutes after they leave and go up to the register to check on our drink and the same 1102 cashier of the whole ordeal of both us and the other customers told us: "yeah no sorry we dont do refills or replacements it's our policy you have to buy another one" Us: "so the cup you gave us broke and spilled before we could drink it and we have to pay for another one?" 1102 cashier: "yeah sorry would you like to pay for another one?" Us: "no since the other people didn't pay and we saw that you didn't charge them, we kinda want the same replacement, that's weird we have to pay again and they didn't" 1102 cashier: "*nervously chuckles* hehe yeah no they paid" Us clearly seeing that 1102 is making an awkward and unethical situation happen between us and 1102 and realize that a place that is doing this to us isn't worth arguing what they're doing is wrong so we leave saying: "yeah okay sure thank you" All in all felt uncomfortable it's just scary to declare discrimination or racism since we want to believe there's still a unity between our same generation and that we are better than that. I don't want to declare this was a race situation but the way everything had been laid out and denied when we all lived in the same experience inside 1102 within a span of 25 minutes and for 1102 to treat us (latins) differently and distort the experience we all shared like we didn't witness everything that happened in that span of time and place. Guess discrimination is still very much alive and favoritism towards same/similar cultures is widely showcased in a place of business that everyone from different backgrounds don't get when walking in. I really like the concept of how you can try different teas with different add-ons with other people so you can up end up trying a little of every thing in different combinations. I did like their concept of drinking using a light bulb shape container which was really fun and cute. The second visit was not pleasant, I noticed a foul smell in the shop not sure what it was. My boba tea cup broke as soon as I put the straw in it we told them about it and we cleaned it up ourselves, which I'm not too upset about. And we asked for another one and they said they would give us another cup but never did! Customers that came after us, their cup broke too, and the people at the register quickly made another one free of charge for them. But for us, we never got another and were told we had to pay for another one, but the other customers did not have to. We feel racially discriminated, and that is not ok! The tea was delicious with fresh mint leaf and peach slices in my cup. YUM! Hubby tried Red Thai Oolong Milk tea which was yummy but his best was Kevin's suggestion of Tiramisu (spelling?) Oolng with Flan topping. But what really made our experience great and guaranteed us coming back was the awesome customer service. From the beginning we came in and were greeted. Oh man. This place is that hot guy you meet up on Tinder but when he starts talking .. you just want to run because there's not much going on upstairs. This place is that guy. I was excited to take my family here because it's such a cute little place with its Instagrammable decor and drink set up. We ordered three drinks and all three were awful. That was surprising. The Taro smoothie was soo powdery. Dissolve the flavoring powder, dude. I felt like I was drinking crappily mixed protein shake. The lychee jasmine was bitter despite the sweetness. The milk tea (why was it made with earl grey? Is that the default here for black tea?) was very watered down. There wasn't a distinct tea flavor when you drink it. I honestly hope I had a bad batch because the guy next to me was raving about how this place is more "artisanal" than other tea shops in Arlington. I am somewhat of a picky tea-drinker. I like my tea very "tea" like and not drowned in syrup or milk. With that being said, this is not my favorite place to get boba in Arlington because of this. Their fusion teas are way too sweet and overly flavored. The milk teas are too milky and also overly sweet. However, they have a pretty set-up and its a nice place to hangout. We came across this place by chance since we happened to be in the area. And based on the great reviews from other yelpers, we decided to check it out. Today was only their second day of opening but the place looks great. Upon entering, we were greeted by the owner, who was very friendly and welcoming. He explained to us the different tea options and choices on the menu. Basically, there are 3 options for the base teas (oolong, black, and green), and you can customize your drink with a variety of toppings/flavor options. Also, this place is quite unique since there is an option for in-store, which allows you to enjoy your drink in various glass containers, jars, and even lightbulbs! This option was not ready yet when we came since this was only their 2nd business day. On to the atmosphere, what a perfect place for a cute and casual date night! There are unique low seating options, and the decor makes you feel like you're no longer in Dallas. Our drink was ready in less than 5 minutes, and one of the cashiers brought it to our seating area. We ordered the 1102 Special (jasmine green tea base) with tapioca. The tea tasted good, but was not strong enough since it was masked by the strong milk flavor. We wished there was slightly more tea and less milk in order to have a more perfect balance. The tapioca pearls were slightly undercooked, and still hard in the center. However, the drink overall was not too sweet, had just enough ice (some bubble tea places give too much ice and not enough of the drink), and even had a cute Doraemon picture on the seal. Don't go here. If you want better boba, I would recommend driving down the street, and going to Sharetea instead. Sharetea is popular for a reason. As for this place, well, this was absolutely the worst boba place I've ever been to in my life. So I got the oolong milk tea with boba which is my favorite drink, and it tasted like it was left in the fridge for days. Literally the boba tastes like it was stuck in the pot for six hours (I bet it was), and the boba lacked flavor, and took forever to chew. Their drinks are way too overpriced. Love the boba and customer service! The hot pot is great too! Boba is perfect consistency -- does not taste chalky or water down. Would definitely recommend the green milk tea hot pot with mochi. The lower seats are often dirty and need more cleaning. The music and vibes are great though read more

My favorite boba place in Texas, everything I've ever tried has been delicious, the interior is wonderful, and their tapioca boba is so well made. I just wish they had larger options for Vietnamese Milk Coffee, but other than that, they're great! read more

This place was great before but after tonight, I think the complete opposite. I feel extremely ripped off - the amount that I got and how much I paid for the drink, it was definitely not worth it. I paid $5 for a milk tea and it wasn't even filled up all the way. I am disappointed by this because while their drinks are good, it definitely wasn't good enough to let me just ignore the problem. I hope they train their workers better and also hope they learn how to quality check before they give their drinks to their customers. read more
