I went 8/28/21 and the WAIT TIME is REALLY LONG. I am not sure as to why as there's only 2 customers in store ( including me ) Are they accepting pick up orders? Idk. I REALLY loved the nice cute little setup this place had! From the grass walls and teacup filled shelves right down to the modern setup for chairs and tables. They let you pick your sweetness level which I think is really unique to any boba tea place that I have been to! I picked 100% sweetness (just like myself) on a thai tea. We went in maybe an hour before closing so I noticed they did also have some very cute cupcakes but we didn't try them. You can also maybe make your own? By the looks of the fridge area in the back...right down to putting the plastic covering on your boba cup! I have had better thai tea elsewhere though :( and I am half thai so maybe I'm biased. I give it a 4 stars for concept and presentation. Staff was friendly and let me have my own little photoshoot as well. Fairly priced at around 4-6$ for most items. As an express location, expect to only interact with staff after ordering from the kiosk. Watched elderly person struggling with the ordering system. Didn't enjoy staff interaction. I've had drinks from this location and the Arlington location. I'd say the Arlington is better, but not much better. It wouldn't be the first place that I would seek out if I wanted milk tea. I've tried the vietnamese coffee and I've had the lychee oolong tea, lychee milk tea, and taro milk tea. All 3 times, there was an after taste to each tea and milk tea. We came over here once to see if it was just the Arlington location and still there is an after taste. Boba was too firm for my liking. Husband didn't care for his vietnamese coffee. This place used to be good, but it isn't anymore. I went in today and neither of the two girls working had any idea about any of their products. I tried to order a non-dairy tea and they told me that they were instructed to just use a condensed milk for all of them and to tell people it's non-dairy!! Thank goodness I asked for details about the non-dairy products going into the tea since I have a pretty bad allergy to dairy. The boba itself was decent, but I've deducted stars for the overall cleanliness and service. We stopped in with my newborn (one of the first places we ventured post baby) as I really wanted some boba. The girl at the counter convinced my husband to not get boba because they were out and it would take 12 min to make more. I said I didn't care and would wait, which she seemed annoyed by. I also asked what a few flavors were and she just described them using the name of the flavor itself and was no hello there. She also couldn't tell me which had caffeine or anything about the organic options. After we ordered a few others stopped in and another worker came out to help who seemed much more knowledgeable on all the offerings, which is why I've given 3 stars instead of less. Our experience may have just been due to training that had yet to happen. The tea itself was fine, nothing special, though I've lived in Seattle the last 5 years and been spoiled with excellent boba options. Also, the place itself had some spots that were really grimey- like the curtain to the back- that were pretty gross. I might come back to try again, but not very likely. I will probably still opt to get boba from Kung Fu Tea- it's cleaner, faster, and more reliable. read more

The store has a kiosk to order at in the front. There was staff out in the front and I had questions when ordering however once we were in the store for a bit, they went to the back and did not come out again until after drinks were made. Because staff was inaccessible, I put a special request and hoped that they would come out to ask me about it or to adjust it. The staff completely ignored my drink comment and didn't say a word to me about it. I found out when I got my drink and when I tried to ask the staff about it, they gave me conflicting information and told me ultimately they couldn't modify any drinks if it wasn't already preset. There's virtually no customization to drinks here. Drink wise, the boba was under cooked and hard. Also, the brown sugar syrup still had sugar grains and wasn't fully dissolved. Also, the cup was extremely sticky. I got the Tiger Sugar Boba Milk, and if they were a bit more cooked, the flavor would've been nice. At $8/drink, it was definitely not worth it. read more

I was pretty disappointed with this place for a couple of reasons. You could only get a large sized cup on certain drinks, there were like four drinks you couldn't get bigger. For a place with coffee in the name I would have figured they would use a higher grade of powdered instant coffee instead of the nasty bitter stuff, I had to throw it out. And I'm cheap as hell. This place is cute, but it sucks. Maybe it was the service I got due to the lack of knowledge from the girl working there. My boyfriend ordered a coffee and it tasted like ass. He asked why it tasted like that and also said it's not at all what he expected and most places are like oh let me fix that for you or you can get something else but no the girl just said oh. I order something but before I order I ask, what is the most ordered thing here? All I get is uh I'm not sure. Uh what? Lol so I order a milk tea and order it 75% sweet and it comes out and damn that thing tasted like a ton of creamer in a drink. I give her his drink back and ask if she can fix it and she's like sure I'll fix it and we get it back and it tasted slightly sweet. Like maybe just a tad bit and that's it. This is a shop I've been to on multiple occasions. Service is always slow, they are a friendly staff, but don't have too high hopes. Drinks are standard, nothing spectacular. I'd honestly be willing to give another star if they would be willing to get better wifi and faster register/credit card reader. I don't appreciate having to stand there for 10 minutes at the front of the line to place my order and another 10 of rebooting a system that still won't process my (any) credit card. We were told the wifi was the issue and it's "been this way lately". How are they still in business?? Waste of time and I won't be back. read more

Probably the nastiest tasting taro milk tea I've ever had. My first drink was extremely sour and tasted spoiled and very brown ( taro is normally purple ) asked her if she could remake it maybe something wrong with ingredients. Ordering pick up from here is usually frustrating, but today it took 40+ minutes extra to wait... I arrived later than the recommended time since they are generally late for pick up orders, but was able to run to another store, come back, and still wait even longer... Had to ask for a bag when I got 4 drinks... Combined with the service never being anything special normally it was definitely a frustrating experience. The tea was great (my favorite tasting place even though I definitely did not get the extra boba I paid for), but service is extremely lacking. Being polite and communicating with customers that there is a bit of a wait goes a long way in improving guest experience. I work in restaurant management myself (so I get that it is hard right now), but the customer service here has always been subpar. I stopped in after visiting the taco shop next door. 1102 is a quaint little boba shop with great service. There are fewer options on the menu than other boba places (but it a good way, there are plenty of choices but the menu isn't overwhelming).
