I stumbled upon the place after shopping at Parks Mall. The staff was friendly and cute place to sit and work or just relax. I noticed that there was a door that led to the Ninja Ramen place. They must be associated. I picked inside and they were packed. I had the salt and pepper chicken to snack on and oolong peach tea. The chicken was crispy and had good flavor to dip in the mayo sauce. While the tea was delicious as always when the pearls popped the casing gelatinous film stays in your mouth instead of dissolving like they used to. The pearls also looked smaller. I googled this place for snow ice cups but when I reached there I learnt that they have discontinued it. Anyways so I decided to have eggnette instead and picked up banana strawberries one. Omg first of all the presentation of my desert was pleasant and then the whole experience was delightful. I loved the texture of the icecream scoop used. We came here on a regular night and wanted to have some dessert. We ordered the egg waffle with ice cream, and two different Boba drinks Boba drinks aside, we were waiting for our dessert. He quoted us 15 minutes but after half an hour, somebody came out and said that something happened and that they are working on the egg waffle for us. They did not say well what's going on. No problem, we were just scrolling on our phones and just chilling but after 45 minutes, we thought that this was very unusual and went up to the counter to see what was going on. Basically, their freezer exploded, and all the ice cream was melting. So, I don't understand why they would not tell us the truth and say that they could not give us the ice cream and refund us or at least tell us the truth. I don't know what their endgame was or if they were just very young and so nervous that they could not tell us when we are pretty chill. But, there's no solution for something like this for a catastrophic machine issue. There's no way to fix this Icecream problem since all the ice cream melted, but they decided not to tell us anything at all in hopes that what? We would forget call? That the machine will spontaneously work again and refreeze the ice cream within a specific amount of time so they could scoop the ice cream again and give us a waffle? I was just baffled because it's been almost an hour for us to get a simple waffle with a scoop of ice cream. In the end, the workers had to get the manager because they were unable to figure out some kind of solution amongst themselves for a simple problem. I figure this is because they were all young or management likes to micromanage everything, and they were afraid to make an executive decision themselves. They offered us the melted ice cream so we could dip our waffle in though lol. At the end, the solution was that we got a plain egg waffle without any of the fruits in it and no ice cream, a strawberry banana smoothie which was actually really freaking good, and a calamari stick that we asked for. Despite the almost hour long wait, the ambience in this place was nice, the kids were nice, even though they were quite nervous, the drinks were good and to be honest, we weren't really caring too much. I hope that next time when there is a catastrophic issue with the machines and things cannot be fixed within a reasonable time that you would tell the customer that they cannot fulfill the order and to offer a refund or some solution within 10 to 15 minutes instead of 45. Still a 4/5 bc that strawberry banana smoothie was bomb, and the machine breaking wasn't anyone's fault. read more

We ordered an egg waffle and a smoothie, and after waiting around for 20 minutes with no updates, they finally told us the egg waffle maker was broken. We stopped by here after eating Dim Sum to continue on with our food crawl. We ordered the jasmine green with lychee jelly and oolong milk teas while our friends ordered the salt & pepper chicken. The teas were solid and tasted just as I'd expect from any of my favorite teahouses in Houston. I've been disappointed on quite a few occasions when trying out new spots, but this was not the case here. I've been searching for a place that serves something similar to the Taiwanese popcorn chicken that I constantly crave from Tapioca House in Houston. The salt & pepper chicken delivers and tastes very similar - it's delicious!! I'm happy with the flavor of the chicken as is. But, the orange (spicy sriracha mayo?) dipping sauce takes it to another level! This is the only place near Fort Worth that I've found that has this style of asian chicken nuggets. The service is fast and friendly, the drinks are solid, and the salt & pepper chicken snack is very satisfying. Highly recommend trying this place out! Interesting process during COVID. So if you want boba and snacks from Royal Tea, you have to go into the Ninja Ramen and order at the table and wait until your order is brought out. Next time I will definitely order online and then pick up to save some time! The bubble waffle will take an extra 10 minutes but it is SO worth it. We devoured that thing quicker than it took to probably make it, lol. I ordered a matcha milk tea with less sugar and it was PERFECT. Since matcha is kind of a bitter tea, sometimes it's hard to get the balance of flavor just right, and they did it. My girls had fun ordering mango slush and mango yakult with boba! I stopped by during lunch for Jasmin green tea with tapioca and I was honestly surprised at how lacking the milk tea was. I knew that it was a problem with the creamer and honestly was a bit upset about it. Unfortunately the tea store is under construction so you actually have to order through ninja ramen and the people there don't know much about the milk tea (they're just taking the order for them). In any case, I went back for dinner because I love boba! This time, I specifically inquired about what was being used for the milk teas. It turns out they weren't using half and half in the milk teas... I asked for them to use half and half this time and they charged me extra for the switch up. I personally will stick with Sharetea. I had the unsweetened black milk tea with tapioca. The drink itself wasn't all that great because I couldn't taste much tea flavor. The tapioca was unpleasant because it had zero chewiness factor, and was not sweet enough. The menu makes no indication of adjusting the sweetness level or adjusting the ice level. But they can do it for you. However, the egg waffle was good. Expect to wait several minutes for it though. The interior is fun and brightly lit though. It seems like a great place to stay and play board games with a group of friends. Parking is tight, but there's more parking if you're willing to walk further. read more

I was in the area, picking up my child and tried this place for the first time. My child (he's 21) has 1 drink while waiting for me and another before we left. Since I was going there to pick him up, decided he was going to buy me a drink to pay me for the trip. Also ordered one for a good friend that loves Boba. My "go to" the first time trying someplace new is the "Taro" and here it was amazing and prob better than 90% of the other places I've tried over the years. For one, it was very flavorful, but not as sweet as it usually is. I stick with basic tapioca pearls for the boba and those were great.. Not to soft, but def not too hard/chewy. Super mixed feelings about this place. It's probably the best boba place in Arlington to do work. But the boba here is awful. It's gooey and clumpy, and the tea flavors aren't great either. On my last visit, my friend and I both had the Rose Thai Tea. The drink only tasted like rose and no Thai. A few hours later, we both felt sick. This spot is pretty sweet with its modern and fresh interior to the many drink and food options. Yes, it's decked out like the hundreds of other boba shops around Arlington (I'm not complaining tho!) but I do like the price point and variety of special drinks they have. Food pricing is kinda steep though tbh. The patbingsu (Korean shaved ice topped with an ice cream scoop) caught my friend's eyes and we opted for the matcha green tea flavor with matcha scoop. I personally like it since it isn't so sweet, and had a good texture comparable to typical bingsu shops. Great place to fulfill those cravings! There are many other flavors to choose from too, like mango or cheesecake. Some appetizers we tried were the Japanese furikake fries and coconut shrimp. Both were great but I absolutely LOVED those crispy shoelace thin furikake fries so much. They were topped with sriracha mayo sprinkled with sesame seeds, nori, seaweed, salt and pepper (ingredients of the typical "furikake" mix) and were easily shareable. Everything else, price-wise, doesn't seem worth it. Just get your meal cravings next door to Ninja Ramen and then grab dessert here. The drinks here are great in sugar proportions! I got the oolong milk tea with egg pudding and it hit the spot. The bf got the peach yakult (yogurt brand from Korea... the same one from TATBILB hehe) and it tasted great! I dig the amount of sweetness from the syrup and the slight tartness of the yogurt flavor. It's so delish on a hot day! I ain't mad at all the boba shops poppin' up, and Royal Tea is a fun place to chill at and catch up with friends and fam. They even have board games too, like the other places. This is a good place for trendy boba drinks and desserts. It's a bit pricey but I guess that's to be expected for trendy dessert shops. They have the boba drinks in a lightbulb that have been on social media, and it's pretty cool because the lightbulb has flickering lights on the bottom which illuminates your drink in pretty colors. As an added bonus, you also get to keep the lightbulb. The drink itself was also pretty good. I got the Sweet Dream which has peach yakult, a peach flavored yogurt drink, and peach popping boba. The yakult was very nicely flavored and had a good amount of tartness that complemented the sweetness of the popping boba. Their shaved ice was also really good. The ice wasn't just regular ice, it was creamy and made sure that every bite was flavorful. I got the matcha shaved ice which came with matcha powder, adzuki beans, matcha mochi, matcha icecream, and almonds. I got the regular size but was still unable to finish it because the portion is bigger than it looks. Although it's pricey, if you feel like splurging a bit on good desserts, I recommend you to come try this place. read more

Another new boba tea shop popped up in Arlington, must try! Royal Tea is located the shopping complex off Cooper and I-20, South Side--on the opposite end of Applebees, next to the Ramen restaurant (which I have not tried). I usually get the iced matcha milk tea on my first try at any new boba shop, I saw they offered some appetizers, being a fried chicken guy--I went ahead and ordered the salt & pepper chicken. The iced matcha milk tea was ok--it wasn't bad, but it didn't scream for me to come back and get again. I tasted more milk and powder/sugar than the actual tea. While prices reasonable under $4 for large--if you're a matcha drink lover it was pretty basic. The Salt & Pepper chicken was $6, kind of pricy for the portion provided, although the sauce provided was good--it was a very small portion too, it was needed to make the chicken better. The chicken alone was just ok, crispy but could've had some more spices added for a kick. Might have to come back and try the snow ice. read more

Really cute tea shop in South Arlington with trendy tea shop vibes and lots of tea/snack selections. My mango yakult was a bit too sweet, but my bf's smoothie was pretty good. The reason why I'm giving them 1 star for now, is that we had a takeout order for fried chicken, fries, and the egg waffle thing. I was given a number to wait. They called my number after a while and gave me my drinks. Took my number, didn't have my takeout order. Then after a few minutes I'm given a bag with my order. I take it and assume everything is in there since they told me "thank you,have a nice night!". My When I got home I realized that my egg waffle is missing. Not sure why I would be sent away with an incomplete takeout or why it wouldn't just all come out at the same time. I called the business and asked for a refund for the egg waffle. The girl who answered the phone said that they had them at the cafe. Since I didn't want to go back and get them, I just wanted my money back for that item. I was told that I would get it refunded, but my bank statement is still showing the full amount paid. I will edit my rating once I get that refund back. Edit 12/17: the business owner contacted me and assured me that the staff will have a better idea of how to take care of takeout orders in the future. In the past, I mentioned their selection is small. They have done a great job at trying out new flavors. I'm always hearing of new drinks they roll out.. as well as snacks.
