There's a shuttle right outside the terminal that you can jump on and will take you the two or so miles to their offsite location. However, as of July 2026, when you return your car, you do take it to the rental car return which is right next to the terminal at the airport. The employees were so nice and welcoming. Customer service like that is rare these days so I really appreciated it. Keep in mind as well that you might have to wait a little bit as they keep very few cars at this offsite location and apparently have them in some kind of parking garage nearby.

Accommodating, and they made me feel welcomed and understood when I asked general questions for a first time renter :). Shout out to Zach, Micah, and Madison for being great! Car selection: This one is subjective, but I saw about 5 cars I could choose from, and of course I went with a Kia K5 as that was the most fuel efficient vehicle. The car did have some scratches and dings, but that's all wear & tear and as expected. Customer service: During the entire time I had the vehicle and when some issues came out, the manager (Zach) was very accommodating and committed to making the experience good. I got in tried to start it the key fob was not recognized worked on it then got it started. Returned car no other reliable cars present in the car class. This location is terrible management has zero customer service relations. They don't try and make it right. Third time at this location. Perry the branch manager should find another opportunity he fails to assist the customers. This location 5 years ago was great. Not anymore go to speedway herts or avis tanque verde. I'm a Gold Elite member and every other airport I fly into, I simply go to the vehicle in the space indicated in the email I receive. I did the same on this trip into Tucson. I got to the car but there were no keys, so I went all the way back to the desk, stood in line and finally got my keys. Defeats the purpose of being a Gold Member. I then took my luggage out to the garage and got to the vehicle and did my customary walk-around. The window had a chip (that's a nightmare when Hertz tries to bill you for it - ask me how I know) and damage to the passenger door that I just didn't want to pay to drive (picture attached) because it looked like a second tier rental. I went back to the desk with my luggage and was given another vehicle. By this time I was running late and needed to get going. The vehicle was filthy inside and out. I've attached pictures of the outside. There were also large scratches down the passenger side. If the vehicles weren't inside a parking garage there may be an explanation but - nope. Once I started driving I saw that something had been splashed all over the dashboard and steering wheel. Totally unacceptable. I had to have the car washed the next day. Try as I might, I could never get a human being to talk to. Everything is done online or via voice messaging . Someone finally texted me and 'annotated' the damage to the passenger side and said I'd have to contact roadside assistance if I wanted a new car - which entailed waiting around for hours - I ultimately opted to just wash it an press on. I competed the survey they sent and received a 'canned' email 'we're sorry we didn't meet your expectations . . . '. I sent an email back saying that the canned email was actually more offensive than no response - they never responded. Based on this experience, I will be cancelling my account after my trip next week and will not use Hertz in the future. Their prices are always a bit high, but in the past it's been because of vehicle quality and customer care. When I asked the attendant at the airport why the damage to the first vehicle wasn't fixed, he said 'Hertz doesn't fix them - they just put them back in service'. I guess that says it all!

Not to mention I still have not gotten back my 200 dollar deposit. I called customer service, the representative was rude and condescending. Online customer service has been incompetent and slow in resolving this. Overall this has been a horrible experience and I do not recommend this car rental company. Frankly it comes across as a scam intent on overcharging its customers.

I thought they checked the car out for any problems, however they just gave us the car without fixing it or doing maintenance. We got a flat tire by the end of the night. I had to go to Walmart and purchase a new tire. Then the next day the van wouldn't start up. Got the car to Oreilly's and they hooked it up to computer and the alternator was bad. The battery was corroded. Some Angels were able to help us get the car back on the road so we could get home safely, thank goodness!! There was no emergency number to call for help.
