Quality eats with great Asian inspired dishes! Yelp & 12 Sixty Modern Pub & Kitchen hosted a great evening. Sampling a variety of dishes and all were amazing! Don't be fooled by it being in a hotel, definitely worth trying especially during happy hour! Service was great, plenty of parking.

$16 SPICY CHICKEN SANDWICH: DELICIOUS! The brioche bun was soft & fluffy and the chicken was fried perfectly

**CONNECTED TO HOLIDAY INN** PARKING (5/5): The HOLIDAY INN has its own parking lot, so there is plenty. Doesn't seem to ever get full. AMBIANCE (4/5): The restaurant itself is BIG! It seems almost like a nice sports bar. However, it's always empty so it kills the vibe. SERVICE (3/5): The bartender we had several times is TERRIBLE! She seems like she hates her job and has an attitude with everyone. We were afraid to order or even ask for anything because it seemed like we were bothering her. Definitely ruined the vibe. FOOD (4/5): The food is pretty good for a restaurant connected to a holiday inn! Was impressed! $21 CLASSIC BREAKFAST: comes with 2 eggs, choice of meat, toast and potatoes. The potatoes looked gross or white so didn't even try them. The breakfast was OK, but I would skip breakfast here and just buy something at the PEET'S cafe in the hotel lobby next door instead. $10 CHEF'S TATER TOTS: these were SO GOOD! They are GIANT sized tater tots that come with cheese INSIDE. They are yummy, order it! $13 QUESO DIP: obviously must love cheese. It comes topped with some jalapeños and pickled red onions. I thought it would come with chips, but it came with soft tortillas. So you make a mini cheese burrito. It was good FRESH, don't let it sit too long or it will harden. $16 SPICY CHICKEN SANDWICH: this was DELICIOUS! The brioche bun was soft and fluffy and the chicken was fried perfectly and topped with a yummy sauce. $36 STEAK & FRITES: the steak was a little chewy for me. The Chimichurri was delicious! Fries were amazing. I don't usually like French fries, but these were homemade. OVERALL (3/5): The food is good! The bartenders attitude makes me want to never go back.

We stopped by without much expectation, but the Hazy IPA was really good. We were just looking for a place to hang out briefly with friends and chat, and this spot turned out to be perfect for that. The atmosphere was clean and pleasant, and the service was good as well. A nice place to relax and spend some casual time.

My family and I had the opportunity to dine at 12 Sixty Modern Pub & Kitchen at our recent trip to SoCal. It's connected to the hotel we were staying at, so we had breakfast there a couple times, in addition to ordering lunch or dinner on nights that we were too lazy to get back in the car to find a new restaurant to try. The food is, unfortunately, a hit or miss. On the first morning there, I had an eggs Benedict dish, which was delightful and seasoned well. However, their lunch/dinner and dessert options were disappointing. For the night we ordered dinner, I ordered the carne asada tacos and a fruit cobbler. Both were severely lacking in the flavor department. The asada was dry, chewy, and flavorless, even with the sauce they added. For me, the cobbler was most disappointing of all. Canned peaches and blueberries were add, which is fine, but the seasoning just wasn't there. It tasted like dry, sugarless cake. I was hoping that the peaches and blueberries would help, but they didn't. I ended up not finishing it and just throwing it away. Overall, the breakfast here was good, but unfortunately, the rest of the menu was a huge miss. The restaurant is convenient, since it's located right next to a hotel; however, outside of breakfast, I'd recommend dining elsewhere unless you are tired and don't want to drive anywhere.

This place is right next to holiday inn. We ordered the steak and frites, steak is so tender and the chimichurri sauce is really good I love garlic so I love it. Place is very intimate, cozy and clean, you can watch sports and there is a bar. Servers are very courteous and fast.

    My favorite local bar

Michael has done it again, not only did he provide fantastic customer service but he was also very attentive by bringing me tea every time I finished it (I had a bit of a cold). The bar was lively and had a good vibe. Would come back just for Michael's service.

The food has always been delicious. The service, very attentive. Ambiance is chill. Lots of screens for sports viewing but not all encompassing.

This place was exactly what we needed. Came out for our annual youth camp and a group of us come early for a lot I mean a lot of setup. The year prior our dinner spot just didn't land well as a group. However this place blew us out of the water. Just an unexpected amazing restaurant attached to a hotel which is rarely the case. Kayla our waitress was amazing. Such a large group of us with kids and she was always on it with the orders being properly placed and making sure we were taken care of. Our food was also way way better than we were ready for, this is definitely a spot we plan to come back to

Sorry, but why is it called 12 Sixty?

La Mirada became incorporated in December 1960. We are proud to be an establishment serving our local community and those who visit us from abroad.

Do you have to make a reservation?

Hi Esperanza. Good question! Most of the time, you will be able to walk in without a reservation and be seated immediately. Friday and Saturday nights do get a bit busy so I would encourage you to make one on those nights.

Any type of happy hour offering on the weekends?

Hello Lauren, Unfortunately we do not have hapoy hour on the weekends. However we do have happy hour Monday- Friday from 4 p.m to 7p.m.

Could you hold s dinner party event of 75 pl?

Yes! This property is connected to a major hotel and is usually pretty empty. Maybe a little too empty. The party of 75 would liven this place up!

    Yes

Do they still offer a late night happy hour?

At this time we do not offer a late night happy hour, however we do have happy hour from Monday through Friday 4pm-7pm with great specials! Hope to see you soon!

After last night I was ready to just write this place off and move on. Then I checked my bank…read morestatement today and saw that my tip had been increased by $10 after the fact. That is where this crosses from bad service into outright shady behavior. We came in as a group for dinner and the experience was mediocre at best. The restaurant was so dark we had to ask for additional lamps, which didn't even stay on. The service button at the table didn't work, so we repeatedly had to flag down the two servers. Water refills were forgotten. Basic attentiveness was missing. Nothing about the service justified anything beyond "okay." Our server eventually replenished our onions and broth, and perhaps that single "heroic" act went to her head- because after we paid and were already heading to our car, she ran out after our group. Our server, ASHLEY ran out to the parking lot to tell me my total was incorrect. I had accidentally written $170 instead of $178 due to a minor handwriting error. Understandable- so I corrected it immediately. That should have been the end of it. But it wasn't. She then had the audacity to question why her tip was "only 7%." I told her the service was just okay and we left. No argument, no scene- but it was already inappropriate and unprofessional to confront customers about their tip in the first place. What's completely unacceptable is what happened next. The finalized charge posted as $188- not the corrected $178. That means she added an extra $10 to my tip without my consent. Let's be clear: that is not a "mistake," that is altering a signed receipt and helping yourself to someone else's money. For context, my intended tip was $14.95- about 10% of the subtotal. More than fair for the level of service we received. Tips are optional, not owed and certainly not something a server gets to revise after the fact because they feel entitled to more. This was downright tacky, dishonest, and a complete breach of trust. I have already filed a dispute with my bank as I have a picture of what I signed before leaving the restaurant and I strongly recommend others check their receipts carefully and document it before leaving as well. But if you are smart, you would avoid an establishment that employs such an abhorrent server with no integrity or shame. Do better.

It's not a far departure…read morefrom foods of other cultures around the locality, but you'll notice differences between British and American English, for example. Many of their dishes include chips, which during my visit, resembled steak fries due to their thickness. You'll also see that curry is a signature dish in the menu, which reflects how Anglo-Indian cuisine has maintained popular influence in the United Kingdom. I ordered Cutty Sark's curry with chicken, rice, and chips at medium spice. The name is derived from a British merchant vessel that operated during the late 1800s. The curry had a mix of savory and sweet flavors, which reminded me of both Japanese and Indian cuisines at the same time. I couldn't say with certainty that the curry fit into just one cuisine. Packed with some heat and bold in spice, it's a delightful and large dish if you desire a lot of flavor. Where the curry went a little off course was the addition of celery. The petiole is strongly flavored and distracts from the curry in my perhaps controversial opinion. Curry seems to better mix with potatoes and carrots. I tried some of the bacon sarnie as well. The word "sarnie" is an affectionate diminutive for "sandwich." American bacon usually comes from pork belly, which provides a flavorful yet oily crispiness. However, the British variant usually comes from the loin, which is meatier and leaner. I thought of the bacon here as similar to a savory ham. The sarnie bread is fried in fat to emphasize buttery flavor. The restaurant, filled with English decorations, has the style of a cozy and dim pub. There's a good amount of small wooden booths with cracked leather seating. Our server was really nice and made sure we got everything we needed despite the busyness of the restaurant. For example, my curry came with a chutney, and I had asked for a lid to take it home. While I forgot to take the chutney home, she went outside as she noticed that we took the back exit to look at their double-decker bus. She even offered to take a picture of us. The service deserves a lot of kudos, and we were grateful for her consideration.

After burning a few calories, we were more than ready to put them all right back. Upon entering, we stood at the front for about a minute before being acknowledged and shown to a booth. Not exactly a dramatic wait, but just enough time for me to start wondering whether we'd accidentally wandered into a museum exhibit instead of a restaurant. And honestly, that wouldn't have been the worst thing. The décor here is fantastic. While waiting, I found myself admiring all the details and soaking in the atmosphere. It genuinely felt like we'd stepped into another country without the hassle of passports, customs, or a 10-hour flight. Having never been to a British pub before, I was excited to experience something different. We were seated in a cozy leather booth that looked straight out of a vintage European train car. "Cozy" is definitely the operative word here. If you're dining with someone, prepare for the possibility of an accidental knee-to-knee alliance. It wasn't an issue for us, but taller guests might find themselves wishing for just a few more inches of legroom. For our meals, I went with one of their signature dishes, the fish and chips, while my girlfriend ordered the seafood platter. Looking to start things off properly, we asked our server for an appetizer recommendation. He suggested the chips with curry sauce, which sounded great at the time. What we didn't realize was that our entrées were already arriving with enough fries to sustain a small village. When the food landed, we suddenly found ourselves in possession of what felt like the restaurant's entire potato inventory. The curry sauce itself was tasty, but in hindsight, something like the garlic mushrooms or vegetarian samosas might have given us a little more variety. I ordered the two-piece cod fish and chips, which came with a mountain of steak fries and a tiny scoop of coleslaw that looked like it had wandered onto the plate by mistake. The fish was good, but the portion was impressively hearty. I made it about halfway through before my body politely informed me that further eating would require a nap. The curry sauce was enjoyable, though not quite the life-changing experience I'd secretly hoped for. The real MVP was our server, who remained friendly and attentive throughout the meal despite looking like he was covering half the restaurant by himself. He checked in regularly and did a great job taking care of us. Overall, the atmosphere was the highlight of the visit. Between the immersive décor, cozy pub vibes, and generous portions, it was a fun and memorable experience. Just be warned: if you order fries as an appetizer, make sure you're prepared to commit to a serious relationship with potatoes.
