I've been eating here since the late 1960s. It's always been good. The food is great and the prices are fair. The service was excellent, as usual. The only problem was the entertainment, which was a DJ with a system of loudspeakers and high amps. He had a very long drum rhythm sound without music. I've played the drums and know they are to be support for other instruments and voices, with a rare exception of a drum solo, which should be more than just banging cymbals and pounding drums. This was at least rhythm, but without the benefit of melody. My suggestion is to focus on the great food and service and tell the D.J. that his job is to provide background music, not to try and overwhelm diners with lots of noise. read more

Cool pub to have some drinks this place is huge plenty of room with a huge bar they have comedy nights and different events. The food is not good. It's mainly subs fries and wings simple bar food but it has no flavor at all all the food in plain so if you're coming to eat, I don't recommend this place at all if you wanna have some drinks and just hang out this place will do. read more

Back again... attended a family party on July 2026, food was a little better. Party was supposed to end at 12:00am but AGAIN guards started dismissing all guests at 11:25pm music had to stop. If you reserve for a party, make sure you tell them 12am but on your invite put down 11pm. Maggie's pub needs to compensate for the lost times. Not Good!! read more

Upon arrival your see a big RED phone booth,so photo opportunity of course! Lots of parking and hidden inside a industrial area. We entered immediately greeted,and helped by waitress. We ate fish and chips and the spinach dip. The cocktail i enjoyed was vodka and Ginger ale and my friend had a beer in a big scooner. Overall we attended a comedy show here,the headline was great and shared they have comedy every Wednesday. Pretty cool lil place to hang out and definitely recommend this place. Wow Maggie's pub actually surprised me! Came in to check out a comedy night. Ordered the Chinese chicken salad, chicken wings and potato fritters. The Chinese chicken salad was fresh and had lots of toppings. The chicken wings were big and well cooked. The potatoes were like giant slices of potato and deep fried, kind of like French fries but much bigger. Server was very nice even though she was the only one taking orders and trying her best to accommodate everyone. Ambiance was just like any other pub. Bathrooms were clean. Went there last night to celebrate my birthday weekend wasn't very packed the hostess was very rude and was not very very friendly. We ended up ordering food and I asked to waitress what does she recommend, she said she got the nachos I said okay, and i ordered side of fries. Well we got the nachos there was Chicken on it it was very very basic wasn't worth the $18 that they were charging it was very Bland but I was hungry. The place smelled like stinky feet, and the restrooms smell disgusting it was just a bad stench. My boyfriend and I wanted to try something different, so we came here and it was a great experience. From the moment you park you know you know you are not in California anymore, you are in Ireland. Miguel was our server/bartender and he was so welcoming. He was greeting people by name when they sat down. That is always great to see because there is a reason why people keep going back. I ordered the Benny Hill and my boyfriend ordered the Frank Rizzo. Both were so delicious and filling. I was invited to Maggie's Pub by a friend and cannot return due to 2 reasons: (1) The food, and (2) The manager present today 09-27-24 at 4pm-5pm. The service was fine, altho' I had to ask for the server's full attention when asking to see the manager. Still, I tipped her 20%+ since the problem was the food, not her service. The problem was only the food, until the manager took 7 minutes to come see me; and, when we were through talking, he added a second problem to the situation: his mishandling of my issue with the food. I had their Cobb salad, which had no chicken, no cheese, and perhaps a dozen bacon bits (basically, a lettuce salad). I talked with the manager, reading the Cobb's description on their menu, which included chicken and cheese. He said he would mention the problem to the chef (did he?), charged me $20 for lettuce (with the dozen bacon bits), and that was his fix. I would have returned to try their 1-pound prime rib, but cannot give them further business when a manager doesn't ask "How can I make this right?" and charges me $20 for lettuce. I did not argue with this manager, as I make my point without a scene, especially since I did not want to upset the friend who invited me. Also, I don't consider myself unreasonable, since the last time I was disappointed in a restaurant was 20 years ago when I returned a steak that was visibly half fat and half meat. read more

We met up with family at Maggie's Pub while visiting in Southern California for the weekend. My husband's cousin wanted to meet here because it was 1) midway from where they lived and where we were staying, and 2) his recently deceased brother's favourite place to eat. We walked into a large, almost cavernous room that is divided into two dining areas. Booths lined along the walls and there was a long bar at the back. My husband's cousin and his son were already at the bar waiting for us - husband, sis-in-law and myself. There were lots of tables set up in the middle with maybe a half dozen were seated by 6:30pm. The bar itself was maybe at half capacity. After happy hugs and greetings we moved to a table, ordered a few beers, a couple of cocktails and food. The beer glasses look like they hold 24-32 oz of brew. For myself, I had a normal sized vodka tonic. The menu boasts of traditional pub fare named after fictional and historical characters. Between the five of us we ordered two Sherlock Holmes (fish and chips) and three Maggie Thatcher (fish, clams and salad). For the table we ordered their house specialty - potato fritters - which are potatoes cut into large, thick slices, battered then deep fried. Their portions are generous. The Sherlock Holmes had two large pieces of battered cod, while the Maggie Thatcher had one piece of fish, lot of deep fried clam strips and a green salad with a choice of dressings. Everything battered came out piping hot. It's decent pub fare. There are some traditional foods you do not mess with! No truffle chips, no tempura battered anything to "upscale" your food experience. Plates come with tartar sauce, tomato sauce and coleslaw, with malt vinegar at the table for your fish and chips. Your food server will provide you with all the paper napkins you need. Over food and drink, we caught up with each other's lives, toasted to deceased spouses and siblings, ooh'd and awed over photos of grandkids and family pets. We would have hung out longer but after a couple of hours, we were all sleepy - that's old people for ya. After lots of hugs we all promised to get together again sooner than later. read more

We were surprisingly delighted because the food was very good. I had the Cajun Salmon and my wife had the small cut Prime Rib. Both dinner entrees were delicious, flavorful, and tasty. We both had the baked potato that came with all the fixings. My entree also come with rice, veggies, and soup (clam chowder). We had a very nice dinning experience coupled with great service. Talk about foul. I amongst several of us orders Fridays soup. Clam chowder. It was full of slimy big clumps of unmixed soup. It was soo gross. I told the waitress and she looked at it and confirmed it may have been the hard parts that haven't been mixed in well or that get hard when soup sits out. Was it removed from my bill... see for yourself that it was not. I'm so upset. The service.. was.. well there wasn't much hospitality. We ordered 16oz, beers they brought us HUGE glasses. And charged us as so. So we had to drink warm beer all night bc there was no way we could drink that so fast. I have it two stars for the live music. And dancing. But the food.. even the chili cheese fries the cheese on top was not melted! Just an overall disappointment. Such a shame bc of the food and service matched the music.. perfection. I've driven past Maggie's for 20 plus years and always wondered. Some ladies from my women's group said they had been years ago and enjoyed it. On the way home last night I decided to stop in for an early dinner since I was driving past it. The aesthetics are very much pub like so that was good. I sat at the bar and ordered Shepherds Pie and a beer. I became a little skeptical when the pie arrived because on top of the mashed potato topping was a slice of what looked like Kraft American cheese, not very appealing. No worries, just peeled it off. The actual meat part was tasty so that redeemed the slice of cheese. The menu did appear to have some good stuff so may try again. It was pretty empty but it was early Thursday. I was disappointed in the fish and chips, fries were decent but one piece of fish was bland, batter was mushy inside, fish was scarce and coke slaw needed more mayonnaise or vinegar, KFC coleslaw is much more tastier. I don't understand how $18.95 is a Covid price and how can they charge so much, possibly to overcharge for the lack of patrons.
