    Dirty utensil

Food and service were mediocre. My meal arrived cold, and the eggs were overcooked and dry, I had specifically asked for over easy, so the yolk should have been runny. When I asked the waitress to have them remade, she chuckled and asked if I wanted one or two eggs replaced since I had already eaten one, which felt unprofessional. My son's burrito was also underwhelming, with mostly rice and very little meat. On top of that, the utensils were dirty and still had food stuck to them. Waitresses were taking shots which I thought was unprofessional. Overall, it feels like this place has gone downhill since moving from their original location.

I took my nephew to take his behind the wheel test at the Whittier dmv and since he passed I told him I would treat him to lunch. La casa Del cocinero wasn't too far away and when we came in there was a band playing on the stage (they were great). The waitress was very friendly and funny. She made us feel right at home. I ordered a blended strawberry margarita, queso fundido and a molcajete. The food was all amazing, the salsa was so good I wanted to take some home. They have homemade corn tortillas. There's plenty of seating and they have a full bar. Next time I'm going to come for breakfast to check out their huevos rancheros.

I've been here many times and it never disappoints. Next time you're in the area, stop by for some great Mexican food.

The food was good. Service was also good. Three stars given for the live entertainment which was extremely loud. There was absolutely no way to have a conversation and be able to hear the other person talking.

I'm glad I found this place. I was shopping next-door with my dad. We saw this place and we were in the mood for Mexican food. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by two hostesses with the most beautiful smile. We felt so welcome. The waiting area is beautifully decorated, but once we walked inside it was amazing, I love the way it's decorated all around. Our server Natalie was amazing she welcomed us right away brought us water she asked if we been here before we said no, she prodded to explain the menus to us and recommended some plates, through our whole stay. She was very attentive to us. The prices are reasonable. The food is amazing the plates are huge, come hungry or be prepare. To take home left overs, the homemade tortillas are to die for so yummy. The margaritas are great just the right amount of alcohol, the horchata is awesome my Dad could not get enough of it. If I could probably make a suggestion serve the horchata in the blue water cup the plastic cup does not look appealing, it would be great for a kids meal not for an adult. Other than that thumps up on the horchata. I order the chicharrón in red salsa & my dad order the costillitas de puerco also in red salsa omg!! They were finger liking good, just the right amount of spices not to hot & not to milid just right, the costillitas had. Lot of meat in them. The place has a well stock bar, TVs all around perfect place to watch a sporting even. It also has live entertainment. The gentleman was just setting up as we were heading out. I definitely recommend this place. I would definitely be back.

We haven't been here since Covington. A lot has changed. There is a hostess stand in the entrance, someone came to greet us immediately. We were seated, a waitress came right over and brought chips and salsa and menus. A few minutes later she was back to take our order. I don't eat a lot and asked if I could order from the kids menu. She responded, yes. I ordered an enchilada plate, my husband ordered a giant burrito. Our food was out within 10 min. This was a very different experience than previous times, where we were ignored and the food took a very long time to be served.

    Bri - superb server.

Always great times here! Nice beer selection, wine and well drinks. Food, simply yum! Come for The food stay for the great family service. Live music on Fridays! Super clean restrooms and restaurant. You could always tell how clean a restaurant is based on their restrooms.

There is more outdoor seating on the covered patio than indoor seating. Both seating areas are nice. The lady who seated us was very friendly and pretty attentive and especially considering she wad handling a lot of other tables. Both the house eggs Benedict and house French toast were good. Was expecting crispy bacon on the benny considering the description, but the only difference from classic seemed to be the avocado. The benny egg and muffin were both collected well, especially the eggs they did a great job on those. Wife didn't like the flavor of the hollandaise sauce, but thought it was fine. She liked the French toast much better. You did not need syrup as the butter cream and chocolate sauce were plenty sweet on their own. Half serving is probably ok for one person, full was nice to share. The bathroom was clean, large, and single person--great for a pit stop before you head out! The mason jar waters were cool. Overall, nice local joint for a peaceful weekend or vacation breakfast. Definitely recommend giving them a try. Will be back sometime.

The space itself is pretty small, with limited indoor seating, but a fairly spacious outside patio. The patio is shaded, but if it's hot I'd still recommend sitting indoors if possible. Everything is clean, and it looks like your typical neighborhood breakfast joint. Perfect for brunch with friends and family. The food is really great! From their waffles, to eggs, to breakfast burritos; everything I've ordered has been fantastic! Their potatoes are seasoned very well, and the waffle with strawberry and Nutella is an indulgent treat. The breakfast burrito is another standout, it was cheesy and flavorful. Nothing I've ordered so far has disappointed, and this spot stands out as one of the best breakfast spots I've been to. The service is solid and consistent. Both times I've visited, our server was friendly, and made sure to offer refills when drinks were empty. While nothing was above and beyond, nothing was wrong and the experience was overall great! The fries is so good and crispy! The burrito with pastrami got a good combination worth other ingredients like soft scrambled egg and fries potatoes but they are a bit mushy. Bottom Line Up Front: Eggbred is breakfast food for Gen Z --…read moreand that's not a dig by any means. Let me eggplain... The Background: Eggbred is a fast-food establishment with fast-casual aspirations. You pay at the counter but the meals are handcrafted, so there's a wait similar to a sit-down restaurant. Plus, the prices are higher than a Mickey D's -- $9.79 to $13.99 for sandwiches and $9.99 to $17.99 for burritos, for example. The Food: I ordered the Ribeye California Burrito and it was delicious. The beef was tender and moist, the avocado was fresh, and the cilantro crema was tasty. The lemonade was very meh, unfortunately. The Setting: Located in a smallish strip mall on Harbor Boulevard, it has limited free parking in the front. Not a problem on a weekday mid morning, but I imagine it would be quite difficult to find parking at peak times. Inside, it had a cool, modern aesthetic, but it was small, not ideal for mid to large-size groups. Customer Service: My cashier was friendly and quite knowledgeable, providing an eggcellent recommendation (the Ribeye California Burrito). However, the cook staff took awhile making the food (it took about 20 minutes for my order to come out). The Pros and Cons: So, is the food worth the hype and premium prices? Yes and no. It's essentially a fast-food restaurant charging sit-down prices with longish wait times. Your satisfaction level will depend largely on your expectations: if you're thinking it's fast food, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the care they put into the food and freshness of the ingredients. You'll be disappointed if you're expecting a more premium experience to match the premium prices. The Conclusion: I would need to return to try the other dishes on the menu to give a definitive answer, but based on my first experience I didn't feel like I got enough value for the price I paid and the wait I endured. While I would be open to trying their other dishes, I would not return unless I was in the area by chance.

Although there is parking in the front, it's very limited. We later found there is much more convenient parking in the back, which I definitely recommend using. It also seems to be a favorite among the locals, which is always a good sign. The service was excellent. The staff frequently checked on us, kept our water glasses full, and happily accommodated my fiancée's special request for her meal. The food was fantastic. My fiancée ordered the Wet Burrito without the cheese on top. It came with chips, and even though they were in the sauce, they somehow stayed crispy throughout the meal. She loved every bite. I ordered the chicken and waffles with whipped cream and strawberries. The chicken was fried to perfection--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and well-seasoned throughout without being overly breaded. The waffles were delicious and paired perfectly with the toppings. We also shared a biscuit with gravy. The biscuit was soft, fluffy, and moist enough that it honestly didn't even need the gravy. That said, the gravy was rich, flavorful, and not overly salty, making it a great complement. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The food, service, and atmosphere all exceeded our expectations.
