I was hoping for beige highlights and got bright blonde. I asked for a refund and was only offered a "fix it at no cost". I declined. Intervention: Reached out to Vance who did my hair in the past. Don't ask me why I just didn't come back. Vance was able to see me pretty quick and did an AMAZING job!! He gave me beige highlights and darkened the base which I just love. I'm tanned skin so the blonde highlights was not flattering. Evaluation: I am forever grateful for Vance. He is very skilled at his craft. The result was exactly what I was hoping for from the very beginning when I stepped into the other salon. Note to self....i will never see any other stylist. I highly recommend Vance if you're looking for a highly skilled professional that will make you leave his chair feeling confident and amazing about your hair!!!

It is going to be custom tailored to complement your appearance specifically. I tried to articulate what I disliked about my previous haircut and he immediately understood, and explained what it needed. Also, I have no idea how he does this, but when I got home and hopped in the shower to rinse off the bits of hair you always get after a haircut... there just weren't any. I was greeted by a hairdresser, a shorter woman with long hair. I showed her a picture of what I wanted. Of course, I understand it can't look exactly like the photo, but I asked if it could be as close as possible to the desired result. She said my hair would be much lighter than my current color, especially since I was doing highlights on the entire head. I emphasized that I did not want yellow tones. However, I was given only partial highlights, and the ends of my hair were not even touched. When everything was finished, I could only see a few "yellow" strands--that's all I got. The whole process, including the haircut and blow-dry, was completed between 11:30 AM and 3:00 PM, which is much shorter than the planned 5 hours and 45 minutes. Clearly, the full service was not done. I was charged for the service I originally booked, even though it was not performed. I asked for the price to be adjusted, and she recalculated it by adding root coloring. After that, the difference in price was only $10. If that was supposed to be charged, why wasn't it mentioned from the beginning? Realistically, I should have only paid for the haircut and blow-dry--nothing more. When I washed my hair at home, it was yellow, dry, and damaged. I could have filed a complaint with my bank for a refund, but I decided not to. I want to find a solution for my hair as soon as possible, because after the service at this salon, it looks terrible--and I paid $450 for it. Pay close attention when looking at their photos, because what you see there is something you will never get in this salon or with this hairdresser. I may be a foreigner in this country, but I've been getting my hair professionally colored for the past 20 years, and I know that what I'm asking for is achievable. I've had this color before, so my hair is not the problem. The problem is that the hairdresser does not know how to do her job. Don't be misled by the ratings and photos of this salon.

leo and min are amazing!!! they're experts. they got me color corrected to a super pastel pink…read morecolor. i honestly didn't think my hair goal of getting to really light pink would be possible w my hair that had like 4 different shades in it and years of doing my own hair at home with red dye i've been doing since i was 18 (im 22 now). i spent 7.5 hours with them and they did an incredible color correction on me and i can't believe how amazing my hair looks. it feels even healthier than it was when i came in which is so shocking because we had to bleach my hair twice to correct the color! i had red dye and they were able to make it so light and so platinum. they brought me snacks and they were so attentive. another salon i went to for a consultation said they'd have to cut 5" off my hair but leo only trimmed a little and kept a lot of my length. my hair feels sooo soft and healthy!! i'm amazed min was so gentle and sweet. i almost fell asleep when she was shampooing my hair. the salon is super clean! L2 has very fair prices especially for 7.5 hours of work and leo gave me tips to maintain the pastel pink. i couldn't be happier and i would absolutely recommend leo and min to anyone!! i will definitely will be a returning client!

When I showed Leo my inspo pics he managed my expectations because we couldn't get to the exact color I wanted without damaging my hair (silvery grey with black tips). My natural hair color is black and was lifted to a brown with blonde high and low lights...so they literally went through my hair strand by strand to group my hair so they could bleach it properly to get my hair as even as possible. After the toner and color was added, washed out, and dried Leo noticed some parts weren't blended well and instead of just taking my money and letting me leave (since I've already been in the chair for 10hrs and they had closed already) he stayed even later to make sure my hair was as perfect as can be. My hair isn't 100% what my inspo pic was because I'll probably need another session to bleach it but I'm still 110% satisfied. Also I saw another review where a person mentioned that they didn't feel welcome because of the language barrier and that was absolutely not the case for me. My first language is English and second is Tagalog. Yes obviously I won't be chatting it up with the stylists in the salon because I don't speak Mandarin but nonetheless every single person that I interacted with was incredibly kind (they brought me snacks since I was there the whole day, they saw I kept fanning myself because I was getting hot under the covers they use and brought me a fan). I 12/10 recommend this place. I live 45 minutes to an hour away and will definitely make the drive next time I need my hair cut and colored.

She used to work at a nearby spot in Burlingame but recently moved here :) Monica is really nice and professional. In my very first visit with her, she made sure to explain the entire balayage process to me so that I knew what to expect. I always show her a few photos of what I have in mind and she would make sure to create my dream hair. I have gone from dark black hair to ashy brown/blonde through my visits with her! I have naturally dark hair so it's always my fear that my hair will turn out brassy, but Monica always manages to make my hair ashy and pretty, and also provides tips on how to keep my hair healthy. When it comes to cut, Monica is super patient as well and has always helped me trim my thick hair. I've visited stylists before that would complain that I had lots of hair but Monica always made my visit really pleasant :D Still not convinced?? Look at my before and after pics haha
