We chose to sit at the bar and found the bartender to be very friendly and attentive. I ordered the comeback burger with sauce on the side because I'm not a huge fan of most sauces. The burger was topped with all fresh ingredients. It was a delicious meal.

I had a very positive experience here a month ago so decided to go back and review! I have been on a salad kick lately so I went for the 122 Tavern salad and added grilled chicken - it was delicious (hello fried goat cheese balls) and also filling! We got the Brussel sprouts appetizer and it was maybe the best I've had! It came in a bowl but I usually see them come in a plate! It made the difference because the pieces of bacon were a plenty ! I just have to add that both times I've been here the staff have been so super friendly! Like they know me - but they don't! I think that really made the difference here - it has a very homey feel and the kind staff add to that warmth! Looking forward to going back!

    Reisling, delicious.

New restaurant in the area, bookmark it - you won't regret it! Great selection of local beer, wines and house specialty drinks - I can't wait to go back and try a few of their Gin drinks on the menu. I took my son here to try it out, and man! We love it. We started with the truffle Brussels - o m.g. Amazing!!! My son had the chimmichurri chicken tacos, mouth watering goodness, delicious! I had the burger, bacon, tomatoes, cheddar, lettuce & onion - cooked perfectly & tasted great! I love the freshness of the food, high quality. We sat in the bar at a high top - the bar tender and the waitress are excellent, so pleasant and we had great conversation. I can't wait to go back!

Fig Burger with gluten free bun

Came here on a Monday afternoon, so it was nice and quiet and relaxing environment. I love the ambience here, the decoration is beautiful and the windows have a lot of great natural sunlight entering the room. I ordered the fig burger and the patty was delicious (medium) and fresh. I got it on a gluten free bun which held up well. Instead of fries, I got a side of vegetables which I'm glad I ordered because the burger did not have any vegetables in it. The only flaw, which might have just been an oversight, was I ordered a gluten free bun but then they deep fried the goat cheese in breading...I didn't realize that it would be breaded but kind of assumed if I ordered the burger GF then they wouldn't deep fry the goat cheese. No big deal, I was able to remove it from the sandwich with no issues. Other than that, great spot for a nice lunch!

    Lobster Roll and Onion Rings

I had an excellent experience at 122 Elm St Tavern. Service was exceptional and the food and drinks came out quickly. The highlight for me was my lobster roll entree, which was a perfectly soft bun packed with buttery lobster, it was absolutely one of the best I've ever had. For a side, I ordered the onion rings and, in addition to them being tasty, I loved that the onion didn't separate from the fried batter on the first bite. I also had a bite of the Fig Burger, which was an excellent blend of sweet and savory. Overall, my party loved everything we ordered and we can't wait to return. Shout out to Taryn, Katie and Erin for the awesome service!

We sat outside on a gorgeous patio, really a pleasant setting for dinner and a cocktail. They had a Spanish tempranillo on their wine list, which is a rare treat. It was delicious! My husband is a craft beer nerd and he ordered some yummy concoction from Kent Falls...he was over the moon. We had a fig and arugula flatbread for an appetizer which was delicious. The highlight was the shrimp tacos. Sadly, I don't recommend the Brussels sprout salad... it was mostly tasteless. However, the Brussels sprouts appetizer is FANTASTIC. My husband has also become a huge fan of the short ribs entree. He says it is the best he has ever had. I will also say that if you are lucky enough to have Erin for a server, you will have a guaranteed lovely evening. She was a charming and attentive server who made our evening that much better.

7/21/22 Lunch with my old friends Dave & Pat N!

I told the it was our first time there and the lady taking my order answered some questions I had with a smile. I ordered 1 cow tongue taco, 1 al pastor taco, a kids beef burrito and a steak burrito. The kids burrito is a great deal. You get a choice of a burrito or quesadilla and it comes with fries for 9 bucks. The lady was so humble she didn't even realize they had great reviews online until I showed her. Everything was good with my favorite being the burrito and the cow tongue and my least favorite being the al pastor (not that it wasn't good, it was just ok). The food was ready quickly and they even gave us 2 of their limeades on the house! Delicious btw I highly recommend their homemade limeade. It's so refreshing and sweet and the perfect compliment to the fat is and burritos. The food smelled so good even in the container lol. I'm def going to be a regular here.

Okay, so at first, I wasn't planning to write any more reviews for the foreseeable future. Just…read morebecause I wrote one review recently didn't quite mean I was warmed back up to Yelp just yet, and if I'm being honest, I'm still not. Between a removed review causing me to go missing from Yelp for 6 months and losing my trust in posting my reviews here on Yelp, I let go of my Elite status and am now back to square one. But after driving my mom to Manor Inn so she could attend an event there, I decided to look up spots around there since I did spot that their wait times were going to be extensive. That's when I decided to go here and see what was good. Honestly, after I encountered the parking situations in both places and went into the restaurant, I knew I had made the right call. I was seated immediately, given a menu, and even given some complimentary chips, salsa, and a plate of refried beans sprinkled with some cheese. Now, refried beans and salsa are not foods I would normally eat because my food palette don't usually like those items. But with these tortilla chips, they were both very flavorful, and given this was complimentary, they were all the more appetizing. I should also mention that my waitress, Sayda, was very nice and prompt whenever she came to my table. Answered any questions I had, and had no problem with my orders. So from the menu, I went with the Tropical Twist, their Calamari for an appetizer, the tacos de barrio for dinner, and even ordered churros to go so I have something for when Winter Storm Fern dumps 80 million inches of snow tomorrow and into the next day. Oh, might I say, everything was delicious! I knew I couldn't have alcohol because I still had to pick my mom back up and then drive back home to Waterbury, but that Tropical Twist was a nice consolation if you can't have alcohol. The fried calamari was also another great choice. That dip it came with was so addictive it was like crack, and the perfect thing to pair with fried calamari. If there's one thing I would say could be improved, it's that they could be just a smidge more liberal with the fried coating. There were some pieces that had some small spots that had no coating at all, but nothing too major. For the tacos, MMM MMM GOOD! The meat was tender and flavorful, the presentation was great, and the consome paired deliciously with the tacos. It's definitely worth the $20 they cost. The churros were also pretty good. I can't say they were the best churros I ever had because the place that made my favorite churros ever closed down back in 2024 and had since become a dog grooming place, but if not for that, then I might make a case for that statement to be true. The chocolate syrup it comes with is divine and a nice sweet treat to finish off the night. I was in and out of the place in maybe a slight smidge above half an hour, so I would say all-in-all I'm glad I came. The place is also well decorated, bathrooms are clean, and the ambiance is inviting and casual. Now, I may still need to gatekeep a few reviews here and there, but this place was a step in the right direction in getting my confidence back in Yelp. I would definitely come back here again whenever I get a chance, and I highly recommend coming to check out this place if you're in the area. Oh, and for comparison's sake, it was an hour and a half between when I was finished here and when I could finally pick my mom back up again from Manor Inn. Take that as you will.

I called ahead to make sure they made their own michelada mix, which did not disappoint. It was more on the tangier side but delicious nonetheless. I got their chicken mole which came with white rice, different than any other mole dishes I've had before. Their white rice was some of the best I've ever had- to say the least. The refried beans were delicious (they served me tortilla chips with salsa and refried beans as soon as I sat down). The mole was a good sauce, certainly on the spicier side - hot and strong spice favor. Everything was good, I could see myself going back for a michelada and trying other things off their menu next time. I definitely won't pass up on their in restaurant fried tortilla chips, that's for sure, they were delicious. Thank you Loteria!

From the moment we walked in, the place was spotless, welcoming, and full of positive energy. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about the customer experience. The meal started with warm, crispy chips and fresh salsa that had just the right amount of kick. Then came the horchata, and honestly, it might be the best I've had anywhere. Smooth, refreshing, and packed with flavor without being overly sweet. For the main event, we ordered a variety of tacos including the al pastor, chorizo, and lengua. Each one brought something different to the table, but all of them shared the same thing: incredible flavor and quality ingredients. The meats were tender, well-seasoned, and served on tortillas that tasted fresh and authentic. What really surprised me was the cemita. If you've never had one before, this is the place to try it. The bread was soft on the inside with the perfect texture on the outside, loaded with fresh ingredients and flavor in every bite. It was one of those menu items that immediately makes you start planning what you'll order on your next visit. And then there was dessert. The custard-filled churros with cinnamon sugar paired with chocolate ice cream were phenomenal. Warm, sweet, crunchy, creamy--everything you want in a dessert and then some. What stands out most about Hashtag Tacos isn't just the food. It's the consistency, attention to detail, cleanliness, and hospitality. You can tell the owners and staff take pride in what they do, and it shows in every part of the experience. There are plenty of places that serve tacos. Hashtag Tacos serves food that makes you want to bring your friends back so they can experience it too. This isn't a five-star review because everything was perfect. The owners are so friendly and very helpful if you have menu questions. They prepare the food very quick too. The restaurant is small, but they have a handful of tables and booths if you want to eat in. Most of the items are sold separately ($3-6 each) so you can try a few things. They have tacos (obviously), burritos, quesadillas, fajitas, speciality dishes and they started serving breakfast. Our favorite is the Shrimp Taco. On our last visit we got four! Perfectly fried, crispy shrimp topped with lettuce, pico de gallo, avocado slice and served with lime. We also tried the Chicken Taco, Chicken Tostada, and Carne Asada Tostada. We don't live too far from Hashtag Tacos so our food was still warm. Everything was good and super fresh. They are generous with their taco toppings and filling. The tortillas are homemade and fluffy. The avocados were perfectly ripe. I like their verde salsa the best, but they have a unique, bright orange salsa that has a little kick. We hope to dine in at Hashtag Tacos very soon--if we think takeout is great, the food served hot and fresh at the restaurant has to be even better.
