Awesome little coffee shop! Conveniently located in the lobby of Hotel Indigo and 13 Coins restaurant. Very small inside the coffee shop, but there are chairs in the lobby and outdoor seating during nicer weather months. The batista was friendly and accommodating. We walked in after exercising along the waterfront, so I was looking for a cold coffee beverage and she offered to make me a Frappuccino! I didn't see one listed on the menu, but she was more than willing to make me one. The coffee here was super good. Very deep, rich flavors. My friend and I were super happy with our drinks. We also shared a lemon crumb bar. Very good as well. Overall very happy with our first visit. We're looking forward to returning and trying some of their other offerings. Highly recommend. read more

Cute lil coffee shop! I had heard of 13 Coins the restaurant but didn't know they also operated this cafe. Attached to the neighboring hotel, so it's probably a great amenity for guests. Parking in the area is tricky. Standard array of coffees - if I recall correctly, a small drip was $2.50 and the small latte I got was $4.50. There are also grab-and-go beverages and pastries. A decent amount of seating for the small size of the cafe. But even better to take it to go for a walk along the waterfront! read more

We ordered an 8oz vanilla latte and a 12oz white mocha. Unfortunately, both drinks had a terrible burnt coffee taste. I tried to drink it anyway, but got to the point where I eventually threw my coffee away because it wasn't worth it. At first I thought it was just a one-off thing where the barista messed up, but now that I see similar reviews, I wanted to confirm that the burnt taste is true. The inside is super cute though and the location is amazing. Hope they can fix their coffee! read more

This place has great service and is connected to a nice fireplace within the hotel, however, I've never seen it have like exciting drinks. Kaflex is also is not a favorite for me, a waterfront relief to use an outstanding coffee shop, especially with unique cold coffees. I definitely come here more than the other shop on the waterfront, but their cold brew does come from a can. Would love to see some more unique cold drinks. read more

It was my first time here . I ordered one of their apple pie which was so delicious. I believe it was one of the best I have ever had . And I asked for one Americano . The young lady behind the cashier asked me for what size? And I said which size has more shots of espresso? She said all of our sizes ( 8,12,16 ) have only 2 shots . What ? I have never heard that before !!!! So means they charge you more just for extra hot water . That was so annoying. I didn't say anything. I just said ok . Give me 12oz . I paid and left . They also have pretty high prices for their pastries . She charged me $14.5 for just an americano and the tart . Any way I pay the same in SF. I was expecting they charge less as in Portland everything was also cheaper. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this coffee house! It's very small, and very modern inside, which seems like the perfect attachment to the hotel. They have a lot of pastry options, and some little lunch salads and such in their little refrigerator thingy at the front. The people that work there are always really nice, and pleasant. They are helpful and make very good lattes! I have only gotten a couple pastry's from here, so I can't speak for the salads or anything else! If you're looking for good service, good coffee and a tasty pastry, this is the spot! I was worried about the quality of this place because I was so disappointed with the 13 coins restaurant, but like I said, happily surprised that the coffee shop is completely different, and very good quality! read more

Heyy 13 Coins ,where you Bean ?? I didn't know we had such a cute coffee shop right here up untill my regular coffee shop was closed and I yelped to find something within walking distance. Its located in a hotel but the coffee shop stands out in itself. They have a dark intimate moody vibe which I found unusual because thats generally not the ambiance coffee shops go for however I am here for it . I loved it the moment i walked in . Not very big space wise and just enough seating but with the gorgeous water front right here walking out with your beverage also seems like a good idea. Lots of pastries and beverage options and you can customize your dairy choice. every thing that i have tried from there baked goods section has been nothing less than stellar. The service is fast ,friendly and very warm . I found them just a tad bit expensive for the size of my drink but thats true for most waterfront establishments.I have already returned multiple times over the course of one week and that for me is what a 5 star business is about. read more

So excited to have 13 Coins Coffee House in my neighborhood. On my walk I peaked in to see how the progress was coming. The manager invited my husband and me in to try a complimentary coffee. I was so impressed with the flavor and quality of coffee I had to come back on opening day. So, excited to be 13 Coins Coffee Houses first customer. The coffee house is beautiful and comfortable. The decor is modern and hip with plants and branded merchandise. The staff are very friendly and professionally dressed all in black, not stuffy but classy professional. The food was alright, it was good but could have been better. But at the same time, it's a coffee shop, not a test to see who can do it better, but it's was pretty good. The coffee was amazing on the other hand! My friends enjoyed their brownie but the cranberry cake was a tad dry, it ended up not being finished by me or my friends. Walked over from the restaurant in that building to grab a latte and lemme tell ya, not what you'd expect! Barista ignored me for five minutes as she was vacuuming her worktable with a home depot cordless vac. Then gave me attitude when I asked for alternative milk. I hate giving bad reviews but this place deserves it. Get in your car and drive over to a different cafe and save yourself the trouble of dealing with an entitled low skill level barista. Walked in a few times and another time a girl was arguing with a homeless woman that she accused of steeling food. Definitely undertrained and low motivation level vibe from the workers. We were staying at the hotel and my fiance went to get coffee two days in a row and employees were either rudish or others had inappropriate vibes and trying to strike up a personal convo. When i came down and made it clear we were together we received cold shoulder treatment. Coffee was bad with latte milk burnt and tasteless. Surprised at it being this bad right in dt. We dined in and had some pastries and coffee. They were fine but the attitude of the front server was really poor. She had a very negative demeanor about her and seemed inconvenienced to be taking our order. I would never go back base upon our first impression of her and the negative tone and vibe she projected. Hard to get it wrong in a tiny basic coffee shop but place run like a college campus cafe with baristas usually hiding in the back sitting on their phone and often giving attitude to hotel guests and customers. lovely location , right next to a brand new hotel attracting both local and visitors . shop is small , yet modern and well appointed . staff were not exactly friendly , but I was hungry and purchased a sandwich, croissant, berry parfait and latte. I paid just under 40 USD, I settled down on one of the small tables waiting for coffee to be prepared while eating my delicious fruit parfait . A client with two dogs entered the shop and "barista" preparing coffee came over with some dog treats/biscuits and "fed" biscuits to dogs right out of her hand in front of me and at least one other customer waiting to be served. barista quickly returned to coffee machine behind the counter and continued handling coffee cups and opening fridge , etc. without cleaning her hands after touching dogs moth. My coffee when served was cold and after witnessing the above scene , I am pleased to say that I will not longer be returning to an unfriendly , un-hygienic , overpriced shop. This experience could have been a memorable one , but it was not to be so. large disruptive dogs should not be allowed inside the shop and hygiene standards should be at the top of the priorities when handling food, which is then sold at excessively high prices ! read more

Although small quaint coffee shop we like to sip our coffee in the lobby of Indigo West near the fireplace. Staff consistently very nice. Coffee and Pastries are a nice way to start our mornings. read more
