I came here on a thursday night celebrating a friends birthday after a day of wine tasting & it was great until it wasn't. I really liked the aesthetic, the lighting and decor overall. I won't bother with the things I liked after my card was used for fraudulent online purchases by someone at this location and I believe it was the male bartender...who I just happened to take photos of. I used cash and credit card everywhere accept here where I used my debit card with the male bartender. My friends used their cards with the female bartenders that arrived later and had no issues/fraudulent transactions. I don't know how it happened as I still had my ATM card, but as I headed home that evening I got a fraud alert showing 7 transactions just under 400 made at an online thrift store. They attempted an 8th purchase which was declined by my bank and the only reason I was notified. The place wasn't packed (Maybe 6 other ppl outside my group) and no one else was close enough to scan or get my card information from me other than the male bartender. My bank told me after investigating it was initiated from a Napa IP address and no, I don't live in Napa and of course i didn't make these purchases. I'm filling out a police report as well in hopes this won't happen to anyone else and to ensure that there are consequences for the person that did this. Oh gee, a Thursday night and everything is closing early except for this place on our way back to the hotel. We've been in this space before but don't recall what it was called back then. I think it was a meat kind of place. Open til 1 am, may not make it til then cause more important stuff back at the hotel, wink, wink. A lively bunch but not necessarily our kind of crowd. The drinks here are nothing short of phenomenal. I put my trust in the bartender's hands, asking for recommendations for each round, and he was 3 for 3. It's clear you literally cannot go wrong with anything on their menu. Here's what I tried: 1. Bitch Better Have My Honey: This drink is absolutely phenomenal. I can't even describe how good it was--you just have to try it. 2. Crème Brûlée Margarita: This delicious cocktail reminded me of a piña colada but with a fantastic twist. 3. Rhubarbie Girl: This one was just plain fun. The drink came topped with these amazing bubbles that, when you pop them, give off a good, smoky flavor and scent, kind of like hookah. Beyond the incredible drinks, the bartender was super friendly and made the experience even better. The vibe is great, with a fun, open space that looks perfect for dancing, even though there wasn't any the night I was there. 1331 Cocktail has only been open for about a year, but they've already perfected the art of a great night out. There is not much sitting room space but the music was good. The place was roped up for VIP seating which no one was using but our party of 10 was denied seating when we asked to sit until Larry arrived. No one was there and it was early. The drinks were good. read more

I usually come to Napa for the wine, but during the Napa Lighted Art event my wife and I followed the sound of Metallica coming from a nearby bar--and I'm so glad we did. We popped in and found JV behind the bar, spinning great music ahead of an event they were hosting. He made some drink suggestions and they were 100/10! I got the Manhattan and Old Fashioned while my wife got the white gummy (wish we got a picture of them but the quality was perfect). The energy was instantly welcoming and refreshingly unpretentious. Great tunes, great atmosphere, and a bartender who clearly knows how to make great drinks. We asked what music they normally play and they responded it depends. At their busy times it's mostly hip hop and R&B, other times the bartender's will throw some music on. I would suggest stopping in to have a great cocktail and see what they're playing. This was a fun, unexpected stop that made our night even better. Shout out to JV for the fun experience! I didn't catch the other staff members names but they were funny and welcoming as well. I happened to hear about 1331 Cocktails open mic night on Sundays so I went with some family, and friends and listened to all the talents that performed. We loved the vibe, and had a really good time. I Had a chance to meet the promoter Joe Pena who is in charge of open mic. He was very nice and even though he was busy he made time to talk to us about the establishment, and the Artist who performed that night. We all had such a good time that we returned again on Sunday with more friends and had a blast! Its nice to see that's there is a place for the locals to go and display there talents. And that there's a promoter who keeps the talent coming. We definitely will be coming back on Sundays. read more

Really great cocktails by "'Menu" really aweful bartender by execution. What's his name? Very easy to forget, Braden, Brock, oh no watch out it's Brandon!! Literally the worst of the worst when it comes to bartenders who doesn't care! Number one in that rank! Talk about rude, talk about someone who doesn't care about customer experience, talk about someone way over their head! Get this guy into a coffee shop before he brings your whole experience down. Came in on a Sunday night around 11:20. It's wasn't full but it wasn't lonely. All the couches to the right were empty. My crew and I sat down right away and then headed to bar for some drinks. The music was good, the vibe was chill and the drinks were ok. A group of chicks were dancing it seemed like regulars from the way workers kept going up them. For a while we were the only ones on the couches until another couple sat across from us on the other side of the room. When we sat there were cups everywhere...so the doorman came to clean up the whole area and we were good. About 15 mins pass and a Hispanic female bartender with tattoos comes around "cleaning" the already clean area....weird but thought nothing of it since she's doing her thing. Well a few minutes after she leaves we start to feel a slight itch in our throat. I start coughing, and then my sister is coughing...and the guys who had just left to the bar come back and ask if we feel that peppery itch in our throats too. We start looking around and everyone is fine, the guys even point out that the bar isn't feeling that way and question why our little section was soooo bad. We all tried to tough out as we just had gotten our drinks, as we were drinking we were still coughing and rubbing our faces trying to eat the ice to see if the itch in our throats would go away...nope. The sensation got so bad my sister and I had to leave as breathing was becoming hard without coughing. It's been about 2 hours and my Face is still burning as if I walked by a cloud of pepper spray. I don't know what happened but it feels as this was intentionally done to get us to leave because we were the oldest group there (late 30s early 40s). Or if it's something they do to start clearing up with place because they want to close early but it was horrible. All this is Unfortunate because I could see myself coming back to this place, however after this I just don't feel welcomed. Just posting this to see if anyone has experienced this. read more

Friendly, nice fun bartenders that make great drinks.1331 is a warm open space downtown. They usually have good DJ's that play a variety of dance music on weekends. Small downfall is there is only one bathroom, so prepared to wait at times. read more

Came in on Friday night around 10 and there were only a few people inside. By the time I left the place was starting to get popping. I'm not sure if there was a DJ playing later but they were playing some fun dance music. Sat at the bar and got a cocktail,the French Slipper. I do wish I could taste the gin and green matcha a little more but the Merengue foam definitely overpowered all other flavors. Really great bar & lounge in Downtown Napa. My friend and I spontaneously walked into here last month and we loved how there was a DJ playing tons of throwback music from the 90's - mid 00's and there a decent amount of space to dance. Lounge seats are pretty comfy. The bar ran out the first drink I tried ordering, so the bartender was kind enough to give us each a free Tequila shot to compensate for it. We came by back in January during the long weekend because we couldn't make it in time for Arbaretum and the worker there recommended this place as one of other bar options around the area. When we came, we thought the decor was very cool and was surprised by how spacious it was, but everyone was hanging by the bar. The bar at this time was about ~75% full, with only 1 bartender working. Shortly after, other groups started coming in after us (they probably were rejected from Arbaretum too). My girlfriend stood at the bar and tried to get the bartender's attention for about 30-40 minutes before we gave up and just left, because of the rate he was making the cocktails and how many people were still waiting to order their drinks.
