This bar is really nice. It's located around the corner from Kissel Uptown (really nice hotel). It's a perfect spot for events. There's an open floor when you first walk in that you can keep open for dancing or setup tables and chairs. Outside is where the vibe is. They have the rooftop set up really well. They have fire pits and heaters. The furniture is chic. The vibe is very grown and sexy. The bar staff are very professional, friendly, and attentive. The drinks are a little pricey but it's not your average dive bar so that's to be expected. The ambience actually made me want to possibly host something here. It's warm in Napa during the summer months as expected but it was very cool & airy at this rooftop with plenty of space. It's very clean/organized and the employees were very hospitable. Wow, what a beautiful bar on top of this hotel overlooking the valley (and a parking garage lol) I had the margarita- I've just had so many in town that it wasn't my favorite but if I had no reference for others it would be amazing I got the salmon I loved the broccolini and purée (I forget what vegetable) I didn't really like the pomegranate seeds, but I love the flavor of them It's just a contrast of texture thing for me I chatted with the bartender probably half the time I was there enjoying telling her about the other restaurants I went to and what not Will definitely go again on a date soon read more

Was in town for the Black Food and Wine festival. I love the Archer hotel and when o saw they had a rooftop we just had to go for lunch. We got there just as they were opening. The weather was absolutely perfect. We both couldnt decide what we wanted so we split the lobster roll and the burger. Both were absolutely delicious. Go with friends that want to share. This place came highly recommended, so we decided to make our way up to the rooftop bar. You enter through the hotel lobby and take the elevator to the top. The hotel itself looked stylish and inviting, and the rooftop seemed like a great spot to relax with a cocktail while enjoying the views. Unfortunately, we had another commitment and didn't have time to stay for a drink, but I'm glad we stopped by to check it out. Sky & Vine has one of the best rooftop locations in downtown Napa. The open-air setting, city views, and overall ambiance make it a great spot to relax and take in the skyline. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the setting. While I was seated quickly, everything after that was slow. I ordered a passionfruit cheesecake, which arrived without utensils or a napkin, and getting a server's attention afterward was nearly impossible. I even noticed a nearby couple struggling to get service as well. The dessert was fine, but not enough to make up for the experience. I eventually walked up to the bar to pay and left after only a few bites. It's a beautiful space with incredible potential, but the service falls short of what such a prime location deserves. read more

We were in town for an early morning Gondola ride down the Napa River and decided to make reservations at this rooftop restaurant. It's on top of the Archer Hotel. We were impressed by the hotel modern decor. We were seated immediately, and greeted by our server Gavin , a super cool and friendly guy ! The food was served in a timely manner . Our drinks were served first and very delicious! The breakfast sandwich was delicious and served with a medley of colorful potatoes which were slightly overcooked. I wouldn't order those again. We enjoyed the music selection of the live DJ and the relaxing atmospheres, however, personally I was disappointed with the view. I was expecting a nice view of the City but unfortunately from the angle we had, there were only beige buildings and construction. The view could be a highlight, though it's currently a bit obstructed by nearby construction cranes, which takes away slightly from the full rooftop appeal. Service was a touch slow at times, but the staff made up for it by being attentive and engaged once they got to you. The wine selection stands out - short, solid variety and the option to sample at the bar makes it easy to find exactly what you like. The bartender is knowledgeable too, who was able to guide toward a full-bodied Napa Cabernet Sauvignon that nicely hit the mark. The burger came out impressively large with two patties. This experience was so disappointing that I feel other diners especially those with dietary restrictions, should know what to expect. My friend and I were in Napa for a girls' trip and decided to have dinner at Sky & Vine. I'm gluten-free, which usually isn't a big deal. I simply review the menu and order accordingly. I ordered the mussels and fries. When my meal arrived, the fries were breaded. I politely told the waiter that I'm gluten-free. Instead of apologizing or offering solutions, he just stood there staring at me in awkward silence. After several uncomfortable seconds, his only suggestion was a side salad. I asked if I could have rice instead, and he told me they don't have rice. Seriously? What full-service restaurant has absolutely no alternative side to replace fries? About 40 minutes later, our waiter finally stopped by to ask if everything was okay. I had to remind him that I never received the side salad he had offered. He looked completely surprised, admitted he'd forgotten, and said he'd tell the kitchen. Another 20 minutes passed before someone brought out what can only be described as the saddest excuse for a salad I've ever seen. It looked like a toddler threw a few pieces of lettuce on a plate and squirted Caesar dressing on top. No vegetables. No effort. No thought. Just lettuce and dressing. So my dinner consisted of a tiny serving of mussels and a plate of lettuce, and I still paid premium Napa prices for it. I left shocked by the complete lack of service. Mistakes happen. What separates a good restaurant from a bad one is how they respond. Sky & Vine failed at every opportunity. If you have dietary restrictions or expect even basic customer service, I'd recommend dining somewhere else. This is a lovely space on the roof of the archer hotel. As you walk in, you look out beyond and see tree tops, and hills. Although to the right, there is now a crane for a hotel going up over there. :-) We were seated under the space heaters which provided comfortable warmth. Our server was friendly and attentive, but quite ignorant on the menu. This is not her fault, but a training issue. If there is something on the menu to which she does not know the answer, then she should offer to go and get the answer. When we ask, what kind of steak is the Wagyu steak? She answered it is "Wagyu". When we then asked what cut of meat is the steak, she replied "Wagyu". We gave up. My wife and I had the margherita pizza and a glass of Pinot and a glass of cider. All of these were pretty good. We also had the Romanesco. If you ask, then you will learn the secret item which is the truffle fries. Yum! Our host ordered the Ahi Nicoise salad. The slices of fish look nicely done, but since this is supposed to be sashimi quality, there should be no bones. On finding a bone in her food, she declined to keep eating. I would have sent it back, but she didn't want to do that. I was pretty surprised to be given a plate with two clear chips in it. I think this is a place that wants to make it right so I wouldn't let that necessarily turn you away. read more

Went in on a Sunday evening and walked out with huge smile on my face. Our server Sofia made us feel very welcomed, comfortable, and made sure to check up on us. The food was amazing (i recommend the burger), and the view was perfect as we arrived right at sunset. This spot is definitely worth a stop if you're exploring downtown Napa. We visited on a Saturday around 11am and it wasn't overly crowded, which made for a relaxed experience. They offer a full bar with tabletop seating, plus a spacious covered outdoor area and a separate section with lounge-style seating and tables. Many of the seating areas have great views of Napa and the surrounding mountains, which really adds to the overall vibe. Service was solid. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We didn't try any food this time and stuck to drinks. The Moscow mules were excellent, though a bit on the pricey side. We went to Sky & Vine based on a recommendation and it was very disappointing. Although the view was great, it did not make up for the poor tasting food and service. Service was slow and very inattentive. Our Caesar salads were served with soggy croutons, no Parmesan and no visible salad dressing. We had to ask for our dressing. We heard anchovies being discussed in regard to the same salad by another server at the table next to ours after we put in our order. There was no mention of anchovies with our order, nor did we receive any. The wings looked like they would be flavorful, but were pretty tasteless and dry.
