I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience was genuinely baffling. I placed an order for flower delivery to someone in the florist's own neighborhood. The flowers were never delivered -- not because of weather, timing, or availability -- but because this florist apparently does not have a delivery driver. Yes, I made a mistake entering the wrong phone number on the order. That's on me. However, the florist had my full name, email address, billing information, and delivery address, yet made no effort to contact me through any other means. Instead, the order was simply abandoned. When I finally called to ask what happened, the response was curt and dismissive. I was told, essentially, that it was my fault -- and the call ended abruptly. No apology. No attempt to problem-solve. No acknowledgment that not being able to deliver flowers might be an issue for a florist. Mistakes happen on both sides. What matters is how a business handles them. In this case, the lack of delivery capability combined with poor customer service made this a complete failure. I would not recommend this florist to anyone who actually needs flowers delivered -- which, frankly, is most people. read more

They made ten small vases and a corsage for my moms 100th birthday party. I am rather particular about arrangements. I got as far as explaining that I wanted green hydrangea and a "natural" look. I ordered my mom roses for valentine day on the same day deliver. I chose what I want on the site, was guaranteed same day and was happy with my transaction. By 7pm, nothing came. I called and they insisted that they are on their way. The flowers did arrive till after 8pm. And that was not the worst part. The flowers I selected online looked nothing like what actually delivered. As a dissatisfied customer, I called the next morning. Not only were they rude but they stated that it was only $35, like since I've selected a lower cost arrangement that their don't need to provide top service. No matter what cost, I chose and paid for an item and expected a service that was supposed to be included. After seeing 13th Avenue Florist's instagram page we decided to go in for a consultation for our wedding. My fiance loved how George got straight to the point, he asked for our vision and our budget. He did not try to upsell us and was straight forward about everything and that is how we like to do business, cut out the B.S. He was always very communicative, he is easier to reach via phone and instagram rather then email but nonetheless he always responded. Come our wedding day on August 18, 2018 George and his team delivered the most incredible ceremony and reception flowers. Everything looked absolutely stunning. I ordered flowers for a funeral and spent 160.00 and I requested beloved aunt on the banner and they wrote on the banner in black sharpie. Went to the florist and I believe the mans name was George was rude and condescending and told me that's what they do. I saw all the other pieces with gold lettering no sharpie writing. Then proceeded to tell me because I ordered the flowers off the funeral homes website they do that but if I ordered directly from them I would have gotten gold letters. Soo.. I don't give bad reviews unless it's really needed. Today is Valentine's Day! And my boyfriend ordered flowers to be delivered to my job. When I opened them, they were baby daisies and 4 roses with a bear inside. I don't even like red roses because of a bad experience I had years ago. It was completely different then what he ordered. He was pretty upset about it and it ruined his day because he wanted it to be perfect for me. He didn't get his money's worth. I think people should go to another place that will get you actually what you asked for and what you paid money for. read more

Used them for my wedding on May 7th 2016. We visited many florists and their prices were the best we found for what we wanted. They also traveled from Brooklyn to Suffolk county to deliver and set up our floral arrangements, as well as made a stop at our hotel to drop off bouquets for no additional charge. Many other florists had travel fees. The owner George really worked with our budget and threw a few things in which we appreciated. The day of our wedding they were on time and the centerpieces and bouquets were stunning. My only complaint was we requested purple flowers on both sides of the aisle and they gave us pink flowers, and they also put pink flowers on the cake which didn't match our theme. I had originally placed an flower arrangement through a 3rd party carrier and after much headache, hassle, and non delivery I cancelled it. I was able to place an order online at 13th Avenue florist for same day delivery. They informed me the arrangement I had chosen was out of stock but talked me through different options I could replace it with. The man I spoke to on the phone was so considerate and understanding, especially since these flowers were now a day late. He promised by 4pm the flowers would be delivered, and they were at the house 1.5 hrs after I placed the order! George was wonderful explaining everything thoroughly, and answering every question. Arrangements arrived at the funeral home 2 hours before the viewing started, just as he had said. When we saw the arrangements, we were blown away! Arrangement were beautiful, artistically detailed, and larger than we expected. Especially the cross and wreath. He even threw in some poinsettia pieces at no extra charge. Prices were very reasonable when taking into account the size of the pieces.
